  1. Presenting Mash, a player for the Brewers Guild in the game of Guild Ball. A raging force of nature on the pitch and a gentle giant off it, Mash was the calming presence to his wife's fiery temper. However, recent internal strife at the Brewers Guild left them weakened and disorganised, something their rivals were quick to take advantage of, resulting in Mash being killed by an old enemy of the Guild. Another mini I'm pleased with. His skin went a little wonky but I think the rest of him turned out okay. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  2. Good day everyone, here is the second Orc model from Ral Partha's 10-512 Monsters Boxed Set produced in 1992. It's a 25mm tall metal "lead" miniature that was sculpted by Jeff Wilhelm and I painted it with acrylics and ink. I have the Roman crest helmet on this model. I painted the crest in orange, as if it had been made with the red hair of a dwarf. There is also an eye engraved on the front of the helmet, symbol of Gruumsh. Tribute to Tolkien...
  3. Here is DSM8112, Persian Cat dual wield Warrior. This Dark Sword Miniatures, Critter Kingdoms - Anthropomorphic Animals is a three-part 28mm pewter model that was sculpted by Dave Summers. I glued the left hand and right arm before painted it.
  4. Yet another speed paint, this one pretty much human sized. I'm thinking of using this one in a Frostgrave warband. It's not exactly human, but I think that works in the setting (there are beast crafters after all). If I do decide to use it in a warband I think I'll have to base it on something standard.
  5. Mithril weapon and amour, horn of battle and secret Dwarven brew... Here's 14588 Dhulrekk Thulfinson, Rune Warrior of Kragmarr. He was sculpted by Jason Wiebe. I added dry branches and snow effect on the base.
  6. Here's Tharn Helmsunder the Norse Cleric 02640. He was sculpted by Todd Harris and was released in 2002. After some interesting research, I chose to paint this guy as realistic as possible by choosing natural colors. I added hair on his forehead and the shield from 03643 Aina the Valkyrie. I was wondering what was that flash under the mass handle... I found out it's was women hair. It's a strand of hair from his wife to remind him the reason he need to win and come back home after battle. I also learned that dispite contemporary beliefs, Vikings didn’t wear horned helmets. Only Norse and Germanic priests wore horned helmets for ceremonial purposes. This being said, I hope you'll enjoy. Comments and critiques are very welcome.
  7. Found this fellow among my un-based minis and proceeded to base him. Don't recall what he's from or who makes him. Thought he was Reaper but couldn't find him anywhere. There's some age discoloration that needs to be washed off that implies he might be OOP. Any assistance with finding out this chap's origins would be appreciated.
  8. So I have been trying to "sculpt" a helmet close to this, on this. I started at the visor line and worked my way up and out and while I have had Some success I have been unable to keep the edges of the triangle sharp or even. I suspect my issue is that I'm using liquid green and trying to paint the shape on. I fooled around with making tiny fin's out of the foil backing of drug blisters but they ended up being a hair too flimsy and I gave up and ordered a helmet sprue, I'm planning on doing a couple things with helm 2 - 2 but it should work once i get the sculpting issue worked out as it's basically the same shape as the one i'm working with. anyway thoughts?
