While in the painting swing, I painted 77149: Damien, Hellborn Wizard from the Bones Kickstarter. While doing that, I had an old figure from a friend. The figure is worn; all the edges have been smoothed. His only distinguishing feature is that he is carrying a lot of baggage. I would be curious to know where he is from if anyone can identify him. I used a strong tone on both figures. I fear that it made Damien a little muddy. I also did not wait long enough for the tone to dry before I flocked the base, so you can see static grass in the crevices of the figure. I noticed this after I took the picture. I think I got all the grass off.

First Show-Off Post These are some of the last minis I painted before the presbyopia started to kick in. At one time I could see what I was doing! But since then I have dis-improved. My experiments with OTC reading glasses continue—I must have almost a dozen pairs at this point. If I remember rightly I painted the Gnoll and the Paladin at a Reapercon several years back. Or at least that is when I started them. But the remembry is a funny thing—so that might not be totally right. At one point Sir William got to serve in a Warhammer Chaos Army as either a BSB or a unit Champion. It helped that his broccoli base + the plastic regulation square base + the steel washer let him tower head and shoulders above the other plastic Chaos warriors. The steel washer is under there to let him stick magnetically to the unit tray. I need to incorporate the Gnoll into my Reven Army for Warlord.

This henchman is a awesome sculpt. He's actually one of the very first minis I picked up [he's pewter, before Bones came out] and painted when I frist started learning to paint minis. I stripped his mediocre paint job and am re-painting him, because a awesome mini like him deserves a better paint job The camels I'm painting up at the same time because I'm using lots of the same colors =P They're a bit sloppily painted because I'm just toying with color placement right now. Once I'm happy I'll go back and clean everything up
