  1. I am the Lord of Darkness. I require the solace of the shadows, and the dark of the night. Sunshine is my destroyer. All this shall change. Tonight, the sun sets forever There shall never be another dawn! -- thus begins the 1985 Fantasy movie Legend, directed by Ridley Scott and starring a very young Tom Cruise and the excellent Tim Curry. If you have not seen this movie, do so right away. A classic Fantasy, in several ways. LEGEND, Tim Curry, as the Lord of Darkness, 1985 pics beneath the click
  2. Got two packs of nice giant slugs in from Heresy. Decided to paint them up immediately for my dungeon vermin set (ticks, centipedes, scorpions, rats, etc.). They painted up nice and quick. Some close ups and an action show of some PC types shuffling on a ledge to dodge the vermin!
  3. After some final sealer, Ajaxxus 5.0, Tiefling Barbarian, is ready to hit the dungeons! I'm not sure why he wound up so shiny in these photos, he's not glossy in person. Hanging out with Sir Forscale to show his reduced stature from earlier versions: I have a WiP thread of the conversion process here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/71285-lidless-eye-wip-ajaxxus-skiotho-tiefling-barbarian-conversion/?p=1456616 Hopefully I'll get to play in a game rather than run one soon and be able to use him again!
  4. Many moons ago, when the first official preview for D&D 5E were coming out, a friend and I were discussing that the Paladin preview had a Half-Orc as the example art, and it would be interesting to see more atypical race/class combos in the books. He had suggested a Tiefling Barbarian, and lo and behold, not but five minutes later, WotC previewed the Barbarian and it was...a generic Viking style Human. Later that day, during downtime at work, I thought I'd make it up to both of us and sketch out a concept for a Tiefling Barbarian. I kept the 4E & 5E pact-style Tieflings, and took a bit of influence from the design of Warcraft's Draenei, (a race of dimension travelers, who fled from their brethren who signed on with demons). After all, my main character in the game for almost a decade was a Draenei Warrior! Here's the initial sketch:
  5. Here is a selection of four Heresy Giant Slugs, these are made from resin although the ones listed on the website are metal. These were washed but I still had some trouble putting on some primer, for some reason it wouldn't stick, so I ended putting on a thicker coat of tanned skin as a base coat. Here is a quick scale shot for comparison. As always comments welcome.
  6. There are few models I purchase that jump to the front of my paint list, the number of Bones 1 models to paint can vouch for this, however as I am currently in a Frostgrave mood I picked up the following model from Heresy and I had to get this painted and on the table as soon as possible. The sculpt although quite simple is awesome. As always comments or suggestions welcome.
  7. Here is a quick show off for a model I recently picked up from Heresy Miniatures. I really like some of the models in the range as they have a very old school look this one in particular appealed to me as I can see it as a character as well as a statue. ( I have a second to be mounted to a plinth of some kind already) As always comments or suggestions welcome.
  8. Heresy Miniatures Nerdlord II and Emily Lake, on a styrofoam/cork/plaster base. Scratchbuilt TARDIS (not as clean as I would've liked, but the camera is a harsh mistress). C&C welcomed and appreciated.
