Mini number 8 completed This is Semira Marise, the last of my Hasslefree minis, made by Kev White, though I'll try and get some different photos of her, as these have come out a tad strange. Paints used... Citadel -White Scar -Kislev Flesh -Khorne Red -Nuln Oil -Seraphim Sepia -Druchii Violet -Blood for the Blood God -Leadbelcher -Runelord Brass -Auric Armour -Caledor Sky? -Mechanicus Standard Grey P3 -Cold Steel -Bloodtracker Brown -Thamar Black -Umbral Umber -Menoth White Highlight I decided to paint her as the dignified priestess, who had perhaps summoned my two succubi, or something =] so she's all wise and stuff. Sadly, you can't see her eyes in these shots, which is all the more annoying as I was rather pleased with them, haha. Lotsa Blood for the Blood God, because one doesn't simply summon demons without getting one's hands dirty, and her lovely white robe... Well, it was once a white robe. I painted her pristine in white scar, then put lots of dirt on with nuln oil and seraphim sepia, and then bloodied her up some. Now I'm all outta unpainted minis, bar finishing off Ebonwrath, until my next order arrives :O but hopefully, that'll bring me my lovely Nethyrmaul and a few other bits and bats too.

A week or so ago, I ordered two of HassleFree's succubi, and they arrived yesterday. I think they're rather delightful and their faces are a lot more attractive in person than they are on their site, and they also reminded me strongly of the succubi from the Witcher saga... As such, I decided to paint them in a similar style =] and this means I had the joy of working out how to paint on their lovely tattoos. Now, for me, that's a hella lot of lines, and I wasn't at all sure I could fit those on a 28mm succubus, so I toned it down a bit and simplified, but still kept them in mind. So here they are Links because nekkidness! I tried putting a bit of a wash on the tattoos on the black haired one, but I think ultimately it just messed it up =[ I liked it a lot more before I did that, and I've not the energy to correct it all today... It's not too bad now though, as I did correct some of it.

Hero Forge: Archetypes 1 & 2 - Paladin & Rogue - Casting Type: Strong Plastic - table quality. I was commissioned to paint these miniature for a D&D 5e game. They are a Dragonborn Paladin and a Gnome Rogue. I am going to tag this thread with another thread that has a WIP of another HF miniatures. My over all review of this thus far is not great. I don't want to bash another company but I am not impressed so far. The miniature absorbs the paint. No joke It takes it into the miniature. The following pictures take about 4 rounds of diluted paint to achieve the color. I saw the video SamuraiJack posted about coating them. But as this is my first try and I didn't pay for them I was not going to attempt them. The likelihood is I may not get the chance as I am unwilling to purchase a "Strong Plastic" Hero Forge miniature to test it out. First coat of Reaper Brown Wash (3:1) to see the details better. It didn't help much; the cast of these didn't have the details show very well at all. Next was a dry brush: From dark grey to a lighter gray. Duel attempt: Bring out detail / add shadowing. It took about 4 layers of diluted paint. I standardly use a 3:1 ratio as I am prone to glazing/washing. Honed Steel, White Leather (which is whiter than the link, fyi), Denim Blue (also lighter than the picture) Forest Green, Intense Brown, I'm also attempting to paint faster too, Trying to get my production time down for table table quality.
