identify Identify Vintage Dwarf w/ Crossbow
Choppertown posted a topic in Works in Progress: Painting
More vintage minis from my childhood. Been soaking a dozen or so in isopropyl for about a week to get the 40 yr old enamel paint off them. With much scrubbing some of them came out pretty clean! Will post as they come along, here's one of my all-time favorites. I remember when I bought him in a little attic hobby shop in Ithaca, NY. Unfortunately I don't remember the packaging. Such a stoic little dude...any ideas? -
After completing my Reaper training kits, I'm ready to start tackling my old 80s lead minis from my youth. I tried painting a couple when I was twelve years old and failed so miserably I literally thought there was no way I would ever be able to even attempt this hobby and it was just better left to others with more talent. Thanks Reaper for making the awesome training sets and helping me try again after over 35 years. So without further ado I begin digging into my vault from the 80s. Apologies if this forum is for Reaper products only, no insult intended. So I think this baddie might be a Ral Partha Hill Troll, but not sure. Anybody have some insight?

Inspired by this post by Darsc Zacal, I'm starting a new game, "What Mini Am I Anyway?" Anyone can participate. The idea seems to be to see if you can identify a miniature from its silhouette and possibly some clues. Thematic groups are not required, but can add to the fun. This is the image that spurred the idea: Clues: This is a party of PCs in a game loosely (very loosely) based on White Wolf's World of Darkness. Two figures are from Reaper; I mentioned the sources of two of the other figures on these forums last month. One figure has been modified by the removal of a weapon. Players are encouraged to identify the figures by company, name (if any) and SKU number (if any). Prizes are, um, the respect of your awesome detectoring skills and "Likes".

I need help identifying this mini. It's a friend-commission, so I'll have to give it back after painting, but I would like to have another one for myself. The owner doesn't recall when or where he got it. The base is stamped with a backwards "LAL". Possible Lance & Laser? The bottom is engraved "©RMI", or possible "©Roy" or "©Ray" and dated "04", or possible "09". Thanks in advance!

Hello, I bought some miniatures off e-bay. The Crusader robot from ghost studios. Each Sprue is one robot, and has like 20+ pieces. I cant find any info on Ghost studios or what game this is from. There are a lot of small pieces and I am hoping someone knows what these are and can point me to a build guide or some info on how to make them. I constructed one... Incorrectly... Left leg looks backwards, I think i reversed the arms... etc... Even wrong it still looks pretty good... especially at $1 each... So, if anyone knows what these are, please help. Here are the photos that were on the e-bay listing.. https://www.facebook.com/bredford2/media_set?set=a.10207875023418009.1073741832.1368585393&type=3 Thank you, Bill

Got these oddities out of a $1 per bit bitz bin a few days ago. I would be curious to know what they are. Markings underneath or on tabs (going left to right): "3o| PAL" -sword/pistol dude "©AEG '99" and "SH55" -troll? with missing arm "© PP 2006" -guy with brimmed hat "Ral Partha Ent" "1991 R K•••" -robot, far right The last two I at least know the makers, Privateer Press and Ral Partha. On the last one the dots are for three letters I just cannot read.
