  1. No fancy setup. I'm getting lazy. Or maybe not, because these aren't likely to be used and I still got them done. Rebel Lineup: Biv and Saska. Widely regarded as the two worst heroes in the game. Saska's outfit is green on the character card, but I'm not very fond of green. I also kind of wanted to paint up a Rebel pilot. She's a techie, not a pilot, but the look is similar. Wookiee Warriors. These were some of the first minis I painted for IA. That seems like forever ago sometimes. Alliance Smuggler (a
  2. I don't mind telling you guys, some days it felt like I would never complete the core set. In part, no doubt, to my haphazard manner of deciding what to paint...When I first started playing, the Imperial player had his favored units and he seldom deviated from them. He kept winning, so it's not like he really needed to... Again, I don't have my stuff together enough to do a little story and diorama. It's time to make some calculations for the jump to hyperspace! Jynn Odan and Fenn Signis. Jynn is a smuggler of no small repute who specializes in not stand
  3. So, as it turns out, I...uhhh...misspoke...when I said Jabba's Realm was complete. Well, I mean it was/is but I forgot to include a couple minis: BT-1 and 0-0-0. Two droids of ill intent. Basically, they boil down to a trigger happy astromech and a sadistic protocol droid. Mostly black with some accents. The "glowing" spot on 0-0-0's hand is meant to represent its electric shock attack. On to Coruscant! Clawdite Shifters. First one up is modeled after The Punisher. That's supposed to be a mythosaur skull on it's chest. It almost resembles i
  4. I finished Hera a few days ago, then Chopper earlier today, and finally the Dewback Rider this evening! I'm not feeling up to writing out a little story or dragging out the tiles for the game, so it's straight up pictures. Even the pictures are lacking in quality tonight with too much light and bad focal ranges. Still, you'll get the idea. Regular and Elite Jet Troopers. FFG sent two flight pegs with each base, but honestly that's a lot of height. Although I admit I thought about having the Elites on two pegs. Regular an
  5. The Cast: The Story: After the capture of Han Solo by the Bounty Hunter Boba Fett, Princess Leia Organa selects a group of operatives to accompany her on a special mission back to Hoth in order to recover files and equipment that will be necessary to implement Solo's rescue. The rebels expected the remains of the base to be empty, but Darth Vader's prescience led him to leave a small garrison force on the remote ice planet. Dengar, and his cadre of assassin droids, were too late to Bespin to participate in Solo's capture and the attempted capture of Luk
  6. Lots of pictures. I've done my best to keep the size down. The Cast: Story: In the waning days of the Galactic Rebellion, before the Battle of Yavin and Scariff, the Empire had nearly wiped out not only the Jedi but also many users of The Force. Emperor Palpatine had special hunters, known as Inquisitors, that scoured the galaxy and captured/killed those rogues that survived Order 66. The Grand Inquisitor tracked another Force user to the remote Tibana gas mine known as Cloud City hovering in the Bespin atmosphere. The Inquisitor had orders to capt
  7. It's not that I haven't been painting, I just haven't been posting. I've actually completed some 40% of the Imperial Assault line since I started (focusing on what the Imperial player owns first). Ok, not much to say here. Just the basics, really: Rainy Grey, Ghost White, and Pure White. Pure Black where needed. The shields were done with the silver metallic triads (one triad per group). The batons were a silver metallic triad and the gun metal metallics. Not a lot of variety, but enough to spot the difference on the table. I've thought about going back after the visor lenses
  8. So, Mr. Mouse joined me in speed painting some of my Imperial Assault Stormtroopers. Mr. Mouse's batch Pretty impressive, given he's only painted about 2 minis before, and we only spent 2 hours tonight. My Batch All in all, we have 7 Stormtroopers painted! Mr. Mouse was awesome to spend time painting with me!
  9. I haven't held a brush in many years, but it was bound to happen again--Evil cannot be contained forever. I now commence the assault on your senses with a selection of miniatures. The pictures aren't very good, but we have a start(l)ing place. Besides, they've just gone through the liner so there's not much (Deep HurtingTM) to see yet. Right now, I'll be looking for tabletop quality. The Imperial Assault minis are the group we've been using for the campaign and a selection of wookiees because I thought they might be fun. Diala Passil (Force-wielding twi'lek) is my character. I
  10. Here was my next batch of completed figures for Imperial Assault. I watched Sorastro's Tutorial on You Tube, and tried to follow his steps. However, it is all with Reaper paints. Also, when I went back and watched episode IV, the officer uniforms seemed a sort of gray-green to me, so that's what I went for. I made the rank bars different for each. The highest rank is the red-based "Elite" deployment card. He's the one with gloves on and gray hair. You can see the eyes are a little wonky! Sort of too big. The sculpts had very tiny eyes, shallow, and the detail was o
  11. I took a trip out to visit a friend while she's in the States. One night we sat down and painted some Imperial Assault miniatures. She loves Star Wars, so I introduced her to the hobby. She was pretty discouraged because her hands were shaky, but I thought it was a great start, and I'd like to share them with you.
