  1. I found this guy sitting unassembled in a box while I was cleaning. So I built and painted him even though I stopped playing infinity years ago. And a shot of him next to my old skiavoros
  2. So, a little while ago I had these two lovely packages come in because I wanted to give the new "rules condensed" version of Infinity a go, and sadly neither the HaqqIslam I use or the Ariadna hubby uses for N3 are in Code One, so.... Well, as one might expect, we wound up picking up a new starter box, because of various reasons. Anyways, Yu Jing was always my second choice for an army, and Rune liked the new look for the PanOceania figures, so that made life moderately easier.... Keen eyed observers will notice that Rune's PanO aren't getting as many units. Well, yeah, there's
  3. The Al Fasid, also known as "The Corrupted", are HaqqIslam's heavy troopers that will get the job done no matter the cost. Their methods aren't always the prettiest, and they're never the stealthiest, and they have their own tricks they bring with them to the table. They don't care about glory, and are solely chosen for their solid record of getting the job done. Some enjoy it, some are in it for the solid paycheque, and others do it because the only thing theyy know what to do is fight. Today I have the HMG version, who also conveniently carries a grenade launcher that can shoot either re
  4. Being that this is the figure that was the biggest reason why I picked up the Hassassin Bahram Sectorial Starter Pack (say that three times fast ), I was suspecting he'd wind up on my painting desk sooner or later... I just didn't realize he'd have the honour of being the first finished this year, as well as my first finished Infinity miniature! At some point in the near future I'll acquire some S2 holoprojector tokens for him, as actual 3D representations are nice. Not sure where from, but I like my current Art of War Studios things, so probably theirs.
  5. Hubby doesn't like painting the smaller figures, which is fine by me, but we both would like his force for Infinity to be painted, aaaand I just so happen to want to paint the Ratnik. That's right, I spent $100 CAD on a boxed set where half the minis will be staying on a shelf for a while, and the other half are there to accompany the one mini I really wanted to paint. Okay, there's also the fact there's an Ariadna starter in there, but still :P So first and foremost, we have the minis from Coldfront + Beyond Coldfront assemble and based, which some would say is always a go
  6. I was thinking of some kind of playful title for the force, like "The Foxes That Yip At Night" or something more mysterious like "Crescent Moon Foxes" but in all honesty, I haven't really figured out a name for this force. This is a continuation of a previous thread where I set a goal to finish 20 minis in twenty weeks, but only wound up doing one. Eh, world doesn't end, goal with that was to paint, and I did. This thread is a breakoff out of that one, because I want to have my HaqqIslam force to have it's own thread, and can also give them a tad more room on my painting desk th
  7. So while I have painted other miniatures, this was my first Infinity model I have painted, and I want to emulate the box art in the style of Angel Giraldez. Here is the finished result. There are still a couple of details here and there that I could have touched up, but at some point you have to call it "done" and this was about as far as my patience was willing to carry me. Overall, I really enjoyed painting this miniature and I felt like I learned a lot about edge highlighting, darklining, and working in the initial contrast values. The Work In Progress thread is over here, for anyone intere
  8. Every now and then I've seen people start up a WIP thread that's more or less along the lines of "clean the shelf of (blank)". For me, it's of hopes and dreams, of projects started, but not quite realized, finished, or... Even painted. This isn't necessarily going to be one of those more serious minivember, one mini a day, or even a burn towards the finish line to actually "complete" the one a week RPChallenge, uh, challenge. That and while I'd love to do minivember or even 99 minis in 99 days both of those seem a tad too... Intense for me. Especially with how often I get distracted from
  9. So finally got around to finishing up a project now that I am fully moved into the new home and work is settling down a bit. This is the first of two Desperadoes that come in the box. One cool thing about the Infinity line (imho) is that the two bikers are completely different, even the bikes are different. Just nice from a variety standpoint. These guys are described as bikers first, soldiers second, so I decided that even though he is technically military, that he would have a little bit of bling on his bike. This guy is my usual table-top quality as that's really about as good as it gets fo
  10. Hi everyone! As some of you know from watching my progress over in the WIP section of the forums, I've been busily working away on Cordelia! This super cute and characterful little mini was an absolute blast to paint, and I appreciated everyone's advice and encouragement! So, without further ado, here's my cyberpunk version of Cordelia, now to be known as Synth-ia! Once again, thank you so much to everyone who followed along at home!!!
  11. Hi all! So, I keep putting off and putting off posting with as busy as I've been lately, but I really want to get back to using the forums more. Therefore, here's my newest project! She's just for fun with no real competitions or games planned for her, but I've loved this rather simple Infinity sculpt for quite a while and finally wanted to get some paint on her! Also, her base is made of of plasticard and window screen, if anyone is wondering.
  12. Hi guys, So I got a greater number of Infinity Aleph minis from a guy who doesn't find them fit to his playstyle. Anyway - I decided to create my own bases, opposite to the clean and attractive style of the Aleph minis using some kind of a long lost and ruined city. Like this: I also got Atalanta and her SpotBot and I think that this spotbot has quite a personality and I want to create his base accordingly. (Picture for reference) So I thought that it would be fitting to have some kind of robot head
  13. SKU: CVB280183 First time attempting to paint glass and I think it came out . . . okish. Not great, but not bad for a first effort. Need to work on the blending, but have gotten some tips to help with that. As always C&C are most welcomed as I am always looking for ways to improve on my skills since currently about the best I can hope for is table top quality (and I even occasionally succeed ;P) Thanks for looking! Gargs
  14. When I was getting the equipment to photograph my Valkyria Chronicles Figures, I stumbled upon those figures which have been standing on my miniatures shelf for quite some time. I painted them almost a year ago, when I by chance got a hold on some Infinity miniatures. I didn't know much about those absolutely detailed figures. I had mostly done heroic style miniatures and 20mm stuff, so this was quite a new thing for me. I didn't own an airbrush by that time and I never had used paint diluted enough to not cover up any details. But I wanted to paint them, as they really looked awes
  15. http://massivevoodoo.blogspot.com/2017/07/mv-challenge-2017.html?m=1 Peace and blessings, brothers and sisters. The crew at Massive Voodoo have let loose their call for their 2017 Challenge. The crew at Massive Voodoo set out challenges to their viewers in order to push our abilities past our comfort zone. This year they have two (2) Challenges for us! 1. Create a base using water effects. 2. Paint a Disney Infinity character. There are limitations in this challenge - like on the basing Challenge: the goal is to create a base with a
  16. Another one for Patrons this month. It's been so long since I have painted an Infinity model, I'd forgotten at how beautiful the sculpts really are. I pulled inspiration from Akira since the bike reminded me so much of those comics. This one was easy to paint, and since it was Infinity I had to go NMM and I did my best to match the quality of Angel Giraldez. I'm not sure if it was mission accomplished...
  17. Hello everyone, here's a project that I've been working on for over a year! I actually got Operation Icestorm, way back when it was released, and now it's done, including the CSU, which I had to hunt down since there was a preorder error that resulted in my order not being treated like a preorder by a distributor. Long story short, I didn't work on it for a while, then took my time getting it done! A special thank you by the way to SGHawkins, who helped me track the CSU mini down. I decided to go very naval military on the Pan-Oceania team, dark blue with a few key accents to matc
  18. Painted this for the leader of my friends elect band in "this is not a test" my first infinity miniature and I must say they are very nice
  19. Last one from me before a week holiday and then back to work, so possibly very little painting time agan This one is slightly older, but still one of my favourites. Also one of the favourites at my local gaming store. My Yu Jing HVT, the Dragon Lady, Imperial Service Judge I wanted her to stand out a little from the actual troops, so I spent a while doing freehand work on her, Nothing fancy, but I think it works I also tried to paint a scene on her parasol Now to finish the rest of my Yu Jing.... you can sort of see the one and only other painted model from my
  20. At the rate I'm painting, I might just have enough Infinity minis painted to play a game early next year. Today I present my latest tabletop Nomad. While I used the same paints on her as the previous one, the red highlights are wider and she doesn't appear as dark as her male counterpart. And a shot of the homemade base, similar style as the previous one.
  21. Another one that I finished back in May. I have to say she is one of my favorites that I have done. I wanted to do a twist on her typical color scheme of blue armor, red cloth, and blonde hair so I went with white armor, blue cloth, and red hair. It was a gamble but I am so happy with how the white armor turned out. Also her sword was my first attempt at NMM since I first tried it a few years ago. There are definitely areas that needed more work but I finished her about 5 hours before leaving for a convention and I needed sleep. In my mind, she was definitely a level up paint job for me. At th
  22. I haven't posted anything to show off in a while, so rather than waiting for a group shot I'm going with an individual. It doesn't help that I'm being super slow on the painting either. Anyway, for those of you not following the infinity threads, I picked up up Operation: Icestorm a couple of months ago. I'm painting the Nomad Alguaciles up first as they are used in the first tutorial scenario. I didn't want to copy the studio scheme exactly, but still wanted to keep the main colors the same. That means red for the nomads, though what I ended up with is a few shades darker than studio.
  23. I got a bunch of slightly out of date infinity minis last month, so I've been painting them while procrastinating on other projects. The first up is the Azrail with feurbach. He got a giant base, because the new version got resized to be much larger, and I wanted to have him on the right sized base for game play. Also helps to keep him from bumping that giant gun on everything.
  24. This is another that I hope to get done by the end of the month but I am not sure if I will be able to as it will be the first time that I have done NMM for a competition. While I play Infinity, PanOceania is not one of the factions I use so I got Joan specifically for use as a display piece. The color scheme was an easy choice but I am doing a variant on the normal one. She usually is painted with blue armor, red cloth, and blonde hair. I decided to mix it up and will be going with white armor, blue cloth, and red hair. Here she is primed: The base was the hardest decision as
  25. As promised in my other thread, my Pan Oceania ^^ Starting with my favourite from the group, not least because she was... both difficult to get hold off, and then she turned up right under my nose Jeanne D'Arc Special Edition Initially I think she came as a bonus on a how to paint book I spent a fair while looking for this mini, for a reasonable price. I found several on eBay, for £50+ each, or for even higher with the book, which... was just too expensive to justify. I offhandedly mentioned this in conversation with the manager at my local store, and for whatever reason, he
