  1. My brother has a problem. He loves board games, obsessively watching reviews of them on YouTube. His family does not play. To alleviate his stress, he buys them for my family who does play. Sometimes they’re hits. Sometimes they’re misses. But he needed payback. Enter last year’s ReaperCon. One of the booths (and I don’t recall the name or I would plug for you to visit them and spend money) had The Smog Riders: Dimensions of Madness on sale at a steep discount. Got eighteen figures for a song. Showed the wife when I got back to the room and her final comment was I should have bought a second one for my brother. She was right. Got back down to the vendor hall and got the last box they had. Had the bright idea to paint the figures for him for Christmas. You will note that it’s February. A little late. But eventually the holiday season will come back around and I can send the whole set to him. Kelly is the first figure to paint. Not doing any prep or anything more than tabletop painting with much too thick of a layer. But not trying for display but well, tabletop. Used the queues on the cards for colors. Would love to say that the slight velvet tone on the purple was intentional but I think my satin clear is acting up.
