Hello everyone, here are pictures of a diorama I did. It features 30 Reaper Miniatures models. Here's the list of models; Drunken Wyrm Inn Dragonbane Forge Townhouse and Antique Attic Buildings interior Amidst the bustle and commotion of the day, In the heart of a quaint village, people say, Stands a collection of enchanting buildings, Each with its own charm, truly thrilling. The Merchant House, where the wealthy reside, Stone-built and luxurious, their status implied, A fair trader, a tolerant man, Helping those in need, when he can. The Antic Attic, a store of old, Filled with treasures and rugs untold, Its large stained glass window, A beacon of light in the village below. Next door, farmers sell their harvest, Vegetables fresh, a bounty of the earth, In this festive scene that's filled with glee, The Drunken Wyrm Inn its windows aglow. In the Inn, a warm and cozy space, Rest your worries and dine with grace, After a long journey or a battle fought, A place to stay and rest, as you ought. The Dragonbane Forge, where the hammer pounds, Imbuing weapons with such powerful sounds, Of the skillful blacksmith, townsfolk are proud, His armor plates and shields, a protective shroud. But the purpose of the day is not to trade, As a band of heroes has come back unscathed, Their wagon brimming, the head of a dragon and their loot, A warrior on horse, victory as his pursuit. Mercenaries, wizards, and knights so bold, With their spoils and stories, they're worth their weight in gold, They enter the town, a triumphant displayed, To celebrate their victory on the beast they’ve slayed. Peasants gather around, Men, women, and children, all spellbound, Merchants, beggars, and waitresses too, All there to welcome the saviors true. In this grand village diorama, the sun shines bright, As heroes are hailed with cheers and delight, And yet, behind the forge, a rust monster feasts, Unnoticed by those baffled by the slain beast.

Good sunday everyone, I've made a little more progress on the graveyard I'm currently working on. Here are some terrain pieces I completed last night. These 77534, Tombstones were sculpted by Kevin Williams. The fence and posts are from the 77529, Harrowgate Graveyard Set sculpted by Bob Ridolfi. One of the tombstones is not present on the pictures, I used it on the base of my 77116, Colossal Skeleton. Have a great day!

Hello everyone, here are some ensemble pictures of my entry in the "Dia de los Muertos" Sugar Skull Painting Contest. I had simply posted a closeup photo of the skull for the contest. This is the Bones version of 77116, Colossal Skeleton sculpted by Jason Wiebe. This Undead is Huge, 120mm tall, almost 5 inches. Notice I repositioned its arms and removed the shrouds that were hanging between its legs. The other elements on the base are from Reaper Miniatures as well. There are 77528, Graveyard Ruined Fences by Bob Ridolfi, a 77531, Graveyard Fence Post and 77731, Gargoyle Finials also by Bob Ridolfi, a 77538, Gravestone of Sorrow sculpted by Julie Guthrie and one of the 77534, Tombstones sculpted by Kevin Williams. I used roots, birch tree seed hulls and various synthetic mosses to complete the scene. The base is 75mm (3 inches) wide and was 3d printed. Enjoy!

Hello everyone, here's my second 06132, Skeleton swordsman. This Warlord Necropolis Grunt was sculpted by Kevin Williams. Like the first one I painted, the lightning on its sword is freehand painting. These huge swords are great canvas to elaborate all kinds of effects.

Hello everyone, here are pictures of my latest work. It was a very fun piece to paint. The T-Rex fossil on its back and the different types of stones that form this extraplanar creature are amazing. I painted the crystals as amethysts, well suited for an earth protector. This purple stone is said to be incredibly protective, healing, and purifying. It's claimed it can help rid the mind of negative thoughts and bring forth humility, sincerity, and spiritual wisdom. This Bones model 77185, Large Earth elemental was sculpted by Kevin Williams. I changed the position of his right arm and mounted it on a 75mm (huge size) square base.

These are two copies of the Reaper Bones Large Earth Elemental 77185, sculpted by Kevin Williams. I saw someone, I can’t recall who, paint up, it might have been one of these, like cooling lava which I thought was lovely, so I wanted to give it a try. I painted the lava version very quickly, in a few sessions: A layer of butter-yellow intensified with yellow glazing, then laying on pure black paint rather thickly, then some washes of Quinacridone Magenta and some fiddling with that and yellow on the gems. The rock version I painted v-e-r-y slowly, in many layers over time, often with whatever paint was left on my palette from other paintings. I’m not sure when I started it, but since I haven’t painted any minis at all for the last year, it’s been some time. I thought it interesting how very different a sculpt can look depending on how you paint it.

This is a model that has been waiting patiently since Bones 3. I have been thinking about how to make it look maggotlike, as it more than anything reminds me of wasp larvae or maggots. You know, these ones: I wanted to use a short videoclip here, but the constant wiggling gives me the screaming willies! So the other day I tried a quick yellow-grey-bonewhite scheme. It turned out...not quite what I was going for. So I slathered the thing in gloss varnish to give it the shiny "a bit translucent" glass like look. It turned out looking slimy instead. Btw wasp larvae are not slimy or wet to the touch at all. Also, lots of wild animals such as squirrels, possums and birds really like the taste of those juicy wasp larvae, which probably is the main evolutionary reason that wasps and hornets are so very aggressive, and use the Attack! Attack! Attack! When in doubt, attack again!" strategy to welcome anyone close to a nest. The white in the photo is a bit washed out and the yellow and grey detail in the folds of the flesh are not showing properly. The gloss is overpowering most of it anyway. Live and learn. I am thinking maybe there are no quick-fixes for the effect I would like, and that I might need to go full non metallic metal-extreme white highlight technique to make the glass-like look I am after. Which is really time-consuming. So on the other hand, this took significantly less than a hour or so to paint in between other things. It will do the job. The paint job is not only Fast, but also Sloppy. Zoomed-in photos are without mercy. Reaper calls this model "Carrion Worm". Worm? Worm? It has legs for crying out loud! ahem... from the Collinsdictionary.com: Definition of 'worm' 1. COUNTABLE NOUN A worm is a small animal with a long thin body, no bones and no legs. (The astute reader will notice how I like a complete hippocrite ignore the "small" in the definition but make a big issue out of the "no legs" bit.) ....so, maybe a we shall call it a caterpillar instead? I have named this one Heim-Liche. Anyway, what sort of carrion exactly does it dine on that lets it grow to such a size? And presumably at some point it will go in to a chrysalis. What might it eventually metamorphose into? Mothra? 77541 Carrion Worm Bones 3, Graveyard Expansion, 2015 Reaper Miniatures Sculpted by Kevin Williams Made in Bonesium PVC 60mm base available from reapermini.com This model was painted on or around the 7th of April.

While so many of y'all were out Denton way, having a grand old fooforaw at Reapercon, I decided to go ahead and paint a bit, too. Only finished two things, really; here's one. Very much "done now" quality. Had a little fun with color, nothing special.

This is going to be one of the most ambitious projects I've ever attempted, so I thought making a WIP thread would be a good idea. If everything goes well, I plan to enter this beastie at ReaperCon this year, so fingers crossed! This is an idea I've had bouncing around in my head for awhile, and started gathering materials for it last year. My plan is to take this lovely critter: and rather than using the shipwreck as a base, use half of one of these: and paint the Kraken to look all spacey and such. So! To that end, I now have one of these! I'll just be using the top half for the base, though: Which means that the bottom hemisphere is available for...testing. Huzzah! --OneBoot :D

Like if it was not enough, a hideous green slime and a bright ochre jelly ooze down the walls of the cave where you have established camp for the night. Their many pulsating excrescences increases their disgusting infectious aspect. They both clearly avoid the light radiating from your improvised campfire, but still the yellow one slowly crawls towards you. The greenish atrocity is only lifting itself in a misshapen column that whips the air without precise direction. You understand the threat while moving closer to you, the amoeba jelly dissolve an empty leather quiver that you left on the ground. Here are the 77306, Translucent Slimes Dark Heaven Bones sculpted by Kevin Williams. I painted them using only yellow and green ink.

As you walk down the catacomb, two huge nightmare blue spiders sneak out from holes in the crumbled walls... 77126, Vermin Spiders Dark Heaven Bones sculpted by Kevin Williams.

The Dragon Hatchling sculpts are cute, but the Bones casts are terrible. Due to this I didn't try to clean them up well and just put them on new bases. Either way it is two more models off the bench and painted to an acceptable toy box level...and so what if I painted the geen one red and the black one green! btw I touched up the splotchy black base rims after I took this picture. Comments encouraged, Mike

77185: Large Earth Elemental Kevin Williams This guy has been awaiting proper completion for about a year. Every time I had grey paint left over, I added it to him. I found him a struggle to complete because of his size and because of all the mold lines. Every time I turned him around I found more that I missed when prepping him. I finally gave up on trimming them and just gave him a proper base and a finished paint job. It's still a speed paint, but at least he's done and ready for use in my D&D game. Only 30 projects left on my shelf of shame!

Reaper Miniatures 03477, Brain Horror. Dark Heaven Legends model sculpted by Kevin Williams. This Aberration can also be found in the 10031, Dungeon Horrors Box Set. I used transparent blister plastic and Mod Podge to create the drool. I also covered the brain with two layers of Mod Podge to give it a slimy aspect. The stalagmites and base were carved out of green stuff to represent an oozing cave.
