  1. After the first succesfull kickstarter campaign, Gaspez-Arts is preparing the KS campaing for the new Fantasy Football team: the "kickass Cossacks". The Gaspez-Arts team is always the same: Fabio (aka Gaspez-Arts) as manufacturer and the excellent artist Raffaele Stumpo the creator of Bull Warriors - Chaos Dwarf team. Look at the pictures about this ferocious and artistic football team. Stay tuned for more info and pictures in the next days Greetings
  2. The dragon king is a very majestic mini. Like most Kingdom Death minis, he's exquisitely detailed, and simply oozes character. In addition, he's also large enough that it is hard to get a photograph of him that keeps everything in focus. I was very happy to have a chance to paint him up. I got to do a lava face base for him (something that I'll probably do something like this on my own Dragon King when I get around to painting him up). But enough words:
  3. I just received an alert from LifeLock that information about my Kickstarter account from Kickstarter's website was found being sold on the dark web. I'm going to immediately change my KS password and closely watch the associated credit card account. I suggest others do the same.
  4. For your consideration, I offer you the Frost Giant King from the Bones 3 Kickstarter. He is the pair to the Frost Giant Queen and I am not disappointed in the sculpt. This miniature (bigature?) is packed with details and a metric-ton of space to paint and practice textures. The level of detail for Bones miniatures continues to impress me. The King and Queen were both primed with Krylon and sealed with Dull Cote and neither exhibits tackiness. The bits that stick out - like the butt of the spear - did rub off when I handled it during painting. I really had to work my way from the inside out to paint this big guy. The fur textures on the fur cape was an enjoyable ride. I look forward to seeing what others do with this team of Giants, and I'm eyeballing the release schedule for the Frost Giant Guards. I recommend purchasing the Royalty as soon as they are available. Gratitude for all who participated in the WiP thread. Your enthusiasm kept me going. #respect #gratitude I hope you enjoy. :)
  5. For the most recent works in progress, a gigantic distraction from my poor Death Guard project. In the last week, multiple delayed Kickstarters (and one on-time Nickstarter) arrived...as well as the ReaperCon Swag Bag! Arrivals included: Stonehaven Miniatures Giants Stonehaven Adventurers 2017 Midlam Miniatures "Winter Adventurers" Reapercon Swag Bag Frostgrave: Ghost Archipelago Nickstarter While I am trying to complete the Death Guard, I did ready these groups for prime time: The Giants are nicely sized. While there are some issues with the scaling between Giant "tribes" in comparison to 5E entries, they do tower over adventurers. The Wolf Lord, who I expected to be an Ogre-sized werewolf, is massive!
  6. We just launched our Heavy Gear Blitz Utopia Armed Forces Plastic Miniatures Kickstarter at 7:02 pm EST today (January 17th, 2018). The Kickstarter campaigns initial goal is to raise $30,000 CAD (about 23K USD) needed to make the plastic injection mold for the new plastic miniatures and backer rewards. The campaign will run for 17 days ending on Saturday evening at 7:02 pm EST (February 3rd, 2018). We need everyone's support to make these new plastic miniatures for the Utopia faction a reality and if you can share news of the Kickstarter with friends and the online community it would be a great help. We have a great Captain Reward Level at $70 CAD (about $53.85 USD) that includes a Utopia Patch and 3 squads (Strike, Recce, and Support) with a total of 18 plastic miniatures. Stretch Goals, once unlocked, will increase the total to 36 plastic miniatures. Plus higher reward levels add the new MAR-DK drone (resin model) and the large Gilgamesh Command Tank (resin model); see below for artwork and details. Treat yourself to a New Army for the New Year, by clicking on the image above or the link below! https://www.kickstarter.com/…/heavy-gear-blitz-utopia-armed…
  7. Fateslayer has been an idea that has been constantly evolving, it has gone through countless names, and changes to its themes and ideas. Finally, I can say the world has started to come together and has started to come alive. It's set in a dark fantasy with a large theme of as you would guess, fate and it's constant struggle to break free from it. Each figure holds a story piece that weaves the world around each other and brings life to the world of Fateslayer. Many of the stories hold secrets and reveals what's to come in the Fateslayer universe. I hope you'll enjoy each of these crafted stories and the many characters that reside inside of it. I wont post any of the pics. Some of them are not safe for work.
  8. About A lone light is on over the table. The players are getting their drinks, snacks, and dice ready as the GM rifles through her notes once more. Last week's map has been rolled out. Michael grabs his phone to look at the picture he took and the end of the last session so you can all get your miniatures in the right spot. Except this time is different. This time you have a new miniature, one that actually represents your character's race. As your compatriots drag out their pre-colored, plastic humans and elves you smile. Pulling out the half-orc you've been using to represent your Netherstorm character, you flick it across the room. In the same fluid motion, you set your new miniature down on the table. A four-armed, metal monster. He has been cast. You have painted him. And now, he is ready for blood. The room goes silent with awe. When we created Netherstorm, we wanted to really show people who we are and how we game. Part of that was coming up with our own, non-standard player races. It was a lot of fun creating, and later playing, characters that weren't the same old elf, dwarf, or half-whatever, however there was a downside. No minis! Maybe you're the GM who likes a good, meticulously drawn map. Maybe you're a player who enjoys finding the perfect likeness of their character, painting it exactly so, and showing it off on the hexagonal battlefield. The bottom line is, miniatures are awesome. But when you have a unique race, miniatures that encapsulate your character are thin on the ground. Finally, we are making our own minis for use with Netherstorm, as well as other systems. We are starting with our four-armed warrior race, the Kentrona. These desert-born brutes boast many great traits, whether as an impressive PC, an NPC, or a monster for the second greatest role-playing game and other and from the comments by the creator: "I can tell you that prompting from others prompted us to commission art for a second miniature, a female Kentrona soldier. We should have it early next week. I will update as changes are made, and rest assured, we will be making some changes very soon. (Including removing all additional shipping charges.) In the meantime, Netherstorm is available on Drive-thru RPG."
  9. Finally finished up the Gunny Peegs this weekend - was mostly finishing off the basing. They are small guinnea pigs, with guns, from one of Bad Squiddo Games' Kickstarter (although I believe they are available on her site as well now) More pics:
  10. It ain't the first Flash Gordon RPG. It ain't the first Rocketships and Rayguns RPG. In fact, it's not completely an RPG; you need the Savage Worlds rules to play. But durned if I'm not interested, and they're talking miniatures for sale as well. This is one I'd like to see do pretty well; I'm in... KICKSTARTER: Flash Gordon for Savage Worlds!
  11. For those who are enjoying Star Power on the net, the creative team has put up the Kickstarter for the next book. .. it's science fiction with a dose of super heroes and it's glorious. What's not to like?
  12. LINK: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2025694581/naughty-gears The Steampunk Busts Girls by Scale75. A innovative project for collectors, painters and even gamers with desire to paint. Large picture of the individual ladies behind the spoiler:
  13. I bought into the recent Oathsworn Fur and Feathers Kickstarter. The first thing up on my painting table from this is the scenery piece, a mouse house. I am imagining this is going to see use as a hobbit dwelling more frequently...
  14. Started painting the core set heroes of Sword&Sorcery, very nice dungeon crawler. Hope u like it!
  15. The Deck of Many is a series of 5e reference cards for Monsters, NPCs, Conditions and Weapons. The Deck of Many is a tool used to assist Game Masters in their role-playing campaigns, freeing them from traditional reference books and allowing them to only bring the references they need. Each card features original artwork and easy to reference information. Should we be successful, all funds raised from this campaign will go towards producing the 4 decks and other campaign rewards. Starting price: $16 for your choice of 1 deck including shipping to U.S & CAN http://kck.st/2iXieoF
  16. Hello everyone, Over in the Bones 4 Kickstarter enthusiasm thread, there seemed to be quite a few people calling for a list of the new bones figures coming because of the kickstarter. I had a spreadsheet that I'd been using for the previous kickstarters and have tacked a Bones 4 sheet onto it. This is open for editing by anyone to edit and fix things I've missed. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dFN0lQL096zQMq8KG5aXcgrA7-VEIEoU6W-ujck7kj4/edit#gid=142862380 (same as linked in my signature). Entries are group by set (core, expansions, add ons, etc) and sorted by display order on the Kickstarter images. Reference numbers are from the Kickstarter images -- for the most part, some are made up to make discussions easier. The colors of the "Reference #" and "Group" columns match the colors of the backgrounds of the Kickstarter update images or for late additions, the Pledge Manager. Specifically for the Bones 4 sheet several of the rows have red background colors. The red background "Name" entries are where I've not been able to determine the correct name from either update images or sneak preview videos. Red background "Existing Part #" entries are where I've not been able to determine if the figure is a new sculpt or what the existing figure's number is. One thing you'll notice is that there are counts in columns E-F of all sheets, and a date entry field in column G. These counts come from my Bones Kickstarter painted mini tracking spreadsheet. Column E is a full count of the figures you'd receive if you pledged for one of everything in the Kickstarter (except count of bases). Column F is a count of minis that are painted. G2 is a count of unpainted minis and H2 is a percentage of collection that is unpainted. Hopefully this is helpful to others out there.
  17. Hey all! Here is a resin master of the new upcoming Cheetah attack CAV! I've painted it in the scheme of the 5th Dornheim Brigade, "Marienburg Dragoons." The forthcoming model will be in the CAV grey bones which also paint up pretty nice!
  18. Ending in four days - Redshirts: Adventures in Absurdity Sometimes the greatest adventure in space is simply surviving the orders of your captain. Redshirts brings laughs to your gaming table Sounds like fun - I am in for $10 - with no real intent of ever running the beastie. A short adventure series, covering levels 1 - 3. Mission 1: The Terrible Tacos: When Captain Ginny wakes up after a weekend bender with an intense craving for tacos, she decides to send her newly arrived recruits on their first mission. Unfortunately for the recruits, the local Taco Galaxy is under deadly new management. Mission 2: The Cheaper Cleaner: Stuck in a surveillance mission around a dying star, first officer Laisse Faire decides to save a few credits and send the PCs to pick up his dry cleaning instead of paying for delivery. He's sure the quarantine around the planet won't be a problem. Mission 3: The Pirate Bonanza: When several important pieces of the ship's engine go missing, the PCs are sent shopping at the local space pirate flea market with a budget of $0 and the Captain expecting change back. Can the PCs get the ship back in working order or will they end up swabbing the decks of a pirate ship for the rest of their days? You are the away team for an incompetent captain, on a less than stellar starship. Reminds me more of the old SF classic(?) Quark than Star Trek... The Auld Grump
  19. Here is the CAV Lion II anti-grav tank from the upcoming kickstarter. This resin master turned out great; the final will be in the grey Bones used by CAV! Scheme is from the 5th Dornheim Brigade, "Marienburg Dragoons." Their tanks are painted a dark grey while the CAVs wear the light blue and black.
  20. Here's a Ritterlich Cataphract attack CAV painted in the 5th Dornheim Brigade's scheme. The Cataphract is available for sale and this is one of the grey bones miniatures from the first kickstarter!
  21. So question about two of the figures from the Pretty Deadly group from the Bones III core set. #256 on core set picture (part number 77488) Skara, Female Skoli #258 on core set picture (part number 77490) Mara Frostblade, Antipaladin So on the core set picture, Skara seems to be holding a halberd(?) pointing down and her sword sheathed, but the mini I have, she is holding the halberd up and her sword in her opposite hand. and on Mara, the shield is the same more or less, but she has just a regular/short sword, not the bigger (possibly falchion?) weapon as in the picture. Did these two figures have a last minute change after the conceptual artwork was done?
  22. Long time lurker, second time poster, first time upload. Here is the Frost Giant Queen from the Reaper Bones 3 Kickstarter for your consideration. I was unable to participate in the Bones 3 Kickstarter as I came upon these Bones figures late in the game. However, the participants who were able placed their unwanted miniatures up on eBay, so I took advantage of opportunity when presented. I focused on Color Theory and Texture on this piece as she provided a very large palette to paint upon. These Giants provided me practice in sketching too, which makes the entire line appealing to me. Side note: Gratitude to those who did place these minis up on eBay without jacking up the prices. I was able to purchase the both Frost Giant Royalty around cost of what Reaper will sell them at Retail. This certainly displays an ethos in the Reaper community that makes this community stand out among others. Further, having lurked for awhile: the community here is quite kind and helpful. This is a good community of miniature painters. I like the Bones miniature range. The detail on this miniature was very close to what I expect from the metal range, and I will purchase more of the Bones range in the future. I am looking forward to the resculpt of Vanya, the Fire Giant Princess, and her new size to match the Fire Giants in D&D. The attire of this miniature is akin to the Viking attire of old, and I found my SCA ventures to assist me in painting this Viking Apron and embellishments. The sculptor did an outstanding job and I look forward to more of their work. The FAQs were an asset that made my first foray into Bones an easier one. I had difficulty with flash lines until I picked up some diamond files, which handled them quite well without marring detail like my serrated files. The bent pieces were fixed with some boiling water and cold water quite easily. The pieces fit together like a glove, though I admit I still pinned them. (My OCD was tingling.) I did use Krylon as Primer, and the tackiness disappeared after the first coat of paint. She was sealed only with Krylon Dull Cote and exhibits no tackiness. She has been handled and there is no rubbing off of paint. I like how her base was round, though I am ignorant of what would be an appropriate Reaper base to place this inside of. (I currently have the King on a GW Dreadnought base, and I do not like it. If anyone reads this and has a recommendation, I surely would appreciate it.) This Bones line of miniatures has proven to me to be a Good Idea and one I will support. I am already purchasing more of the Bones 2 line for my D&D and Oldhammer alternatives, and I admit excitement at the new of Bones 4. Based on the quality of these miniatures: you will have an additional participant. Please keep up the outstanding quality and amazing work. I hope you enjoy my efforts. C&C is always appreciated: it is the only way an Artist can improve. May your blends be smooth. Peace and blessings.
  23.
