  1. Back on my PC I can upload the final shot of the mounted knight Lucardus von Kemet. Because he is a famous character in the world of The Dark Eye, I put a sign on his base to give his name clearly to everyone. As a leader of the Undead and user of dark powers I gave him a look similiar to his underlings. He is a desperate man who wields war in the name of his demonic mistress. Painting process is in the wip forum.
  2. This is the mounted knight Lucardus von Kemet. Back in the 90s a product of FanPro and nowadays casted by Ral Partha. My Kids used this model a lot, so I decided to Paint this next. His Mount seemed to be a little small and didnt fit to a grandmaster of a Order of knights. So I Made a Base which should impose a little Hill on the battlefield.
  3. Presenting Tirinha Fallowheart, a Dreadmere faction mini made by Reaper. Didn't put much effort into this one, it's a nice mini but I think mine is a bit miscast (her details are a little soft and mushy in places). As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  4. I just wanted to share a Medieval Knight I painted off of MMF. It was my first bust painted and 3D printed. I learned a lot from this bust. I also tried a new technique by priming pink and doing a zenithal highlight in white ink and shadows with dark pink ink. Then going over with yellow ink to finish it off. I hope you all enjoy as much as I did painting it.
  5. The third and final big box from Batman: Gotham City Chronicles is full of Batmen from various countries. Apparently Bruce Wane decided to franchise superheroing like a McDonalds. The crew, part 1 - Dark Ranger is the Australian "Batman". He dresses in white, uses guns and flies around on a jetpack. Just like Batman...yeah I don't get it. Knight, Batman of England. Chief Man-of-Bats, of the Dakota territories. I tried to get his eyes white but it never looked good, so I wound up going black.
  6. I was trying to use rose gold, with new gold as the highlights.
  7. Finished this just before christmas. I'm rather happy with the way it came out. The blending is probably the best I've ever done, and I used true metallic shading on all the armor. I hope my Secret Sophie partner enjoys it as well.
  8. I painted the skeleton knight from my October order.
  9. Here's Gregor Clegane and his bannerman! (click on images for better quality)
  10. Painted the Kingslayer! Fun cloak to highlight! (click on images for better quality)
  11. I am about halfway there with an ID for this fellow. I think it says on the bottom: Ral 84 Partha It is hard to read though. I found this fellow lurking amongst some Bretonnians earlier this morning.
  12. This model is a Dark Sword Miniatures masterpiece of a sculpt by Jeff Grace. Never before have I seen so many tiny etchings on plate armor, especially on a figure that is barely 1.6 inches high. I feel a bit let down by my red OSL, but then again, this was only my second real attempt at the process, which is surely one I need to practice more.
  13. The Cleric in my D&D group leveled up and acquired the Spiritual Guardian skill. He needed a model to represent his Guardian. Honaire looks so cool, but he didn't have a shield. I found one in my bits box, and painted the symbol of his chosen Deity, Chauntea. I loved painting this because the simple palette left more room to just relax and enjoy the work.
  14. Some guy from the Kickstarter project. Cast in plastic, some of the detail was really sharp, some was not. The face was weird, I could not figure out if he was supposed to have a mustache or not. Good enough for tabletop play.
  15. This is Tiriel from Hasslefree Miniatures that I painted in TMM. She was a much needed fun figure to help keep my motivation going as I work on other larger projects as I tend to loose focus if I work on something too long with out finishing.
  16. Presenting Remus Raducan, part of the Blood Wolf faction in Reapers Dreadmere setting. Struggled to find this guy that interesting to paint, and as a result he ended up a bit lacklustre. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  17. B4Core #20: Hm. I seem to have merely blocked the cocks. Need some smooth gradient work maybe. I belive this to be a new, digital sculpt for the Bones 4 KS. Reaper Miniatures, Bones 4 KS 2017 Sculpted by ?? Bonesium PVC. 30mm round lipped base should be available from reapermini.com some time in the future Arnold is a bit on the short side, isn't he? Or is that perhaps Brienne the Beauty's taller sister? I have cut off the integral bases, as I like them all to have similar base styles, and the Bones bases are all
  18. Here is my Knight Templar. This is the first model I painted after about 5 years of not painting any miniatures.
  19. So this is the first time I tried painting freehand on the shield This is the end result of the conversion: And for the conversion part, I didn't like neither this minis pose, nor its weapon choice (pickaxe really???), nor its commie looking (???) sigil on the shield. So I removed the weapon and sanded the shield. I also think that his pose looks a lot more natural as a spear throw than a pickaxe swing.. Also gave him some simple terrain and a quick paint Thanks for looking!
  20. "During the opening stages of the Great War, it was quickly discovered that the human mind was too fragile for soldiers to spend any time in areas that had been heavily corrupted by Void Space. One of the solutions to this problem was to lift the restrictions on deploying Automaton Troopers to the front-lines. Drawing power from naturally occurring energy fields and equipped with self repair and competent AI systems, they could theoretically operate indefinitely without contact with their human creators. However, despite being deployed in large numbers, in the end they did little to
  21. Presenting Mara Frostraven the Anti-Paladin, with Succubus Shield and Ice Sword. Not quite sure why she seems to be shrinking in the pictures. Wished I could've done a bit more with her face, it just seemed so small though! As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  22. Presenting Farris, a former knight turned member of the Blacksmiths Guild, from the game Guild Ball. Rather pleased with this in the end, although I need more experience working on PVC minis, I missed so many mold-lines while prepping this one! As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  23. Just need to base and do final highlights on this mini. I brought it from a great small company called Battlezone miniatures, they have the rights and moulds for a load of old Grenadier miniatures. Mark Copplestone is probably my favourite sculptor so pleased that these adventurer minis are still in print. I also love the cheating/sense of achievement when you paint a figure in plate armour. This one was standard drybrush over black, blue ink wash, lighter silver tone dry brush.
  24. Presenting Sir George the Gangly (I'm sure that's a real word despite what my spellchecker says), not sure who makes him, I found George and a few other Chaos types in a box while I was tidying up. Had a lot of fun painting him, although my camera didn't like taking piccys of so much metallic paint! As always, any comments or criticisms are warming received.
  25. Managed to do more painting today. The assassin is by North Star. I was aiming for a lighter palette, rather than a ninja. I think I need to go back in and highlight more. The knight is mainly fireforge, templar body, cloak, and scandi infantry head. The arms are from the Oathmark elves set though. They are just based on 25mm washers and will add some texture, foam rocks, and snow effects to both bases once grey base coat has dried. It takes ages to get a consistent coat on the washers and that and the hole in the middle are the only downsides to using them.
