Here is a lizard man I painted recently. I actually finished him a while ago but I didn't post him because there was someone else's posted that day that was much better than mine and I was embarrassed . So here he is now. I am quite happy with the color on his chest. I didn't want him to have a straight yellow chest because that would look too contrasty and cartoony so I used some yellow in a glaze medium and put it on. It was kind of chalky so I need to be looking at getting different yellow paint. The close pics show the flaws and chalkiness but from a foot and a half away it looks amazing to me. The underside of the tail is still straight yellow basecoat because I was getting lazy. I am quite happy with him and please let me know what you think!

Continuing on with my Imperial Assault posts. I was really pleased with these Trandoshan. The method from Sorastro really worked well for the skin of these reptilians. All of the skin was painted the same. Then, all 4 had different washes with either a little more blue, green, brown, or sepia than the other. It really shows in the blue and sepia Trandoshan. I will try it out on some of the metal and Bones Reaper Lizardmen I have. I didn't want to paint one of these as Bossk, since Fantasy Flight Games released a Bossk expansion figure. So, I gave one of them a "salvaged" Rebel Fighter Pilot Flight Suit. I was least pleased with the colors of it. It comes out a little to stark in my mind. I also tried to give one a desert camo, and another a snow camo or urban camo. I was most pleased with the outcome of the blue one, so I am giving the detail shots of him. C&C Welcome.

Hi there all, so with the Ral Partha Chaos Wars Kickstarter in high gear, ten more days left, I've been painting some more of their figures, and I just finished this Greater troglodyte. I really like these figures as they seem so lizardlike in their poses, much more than a person with a lizard head and tail. Working on a few more with the same color scheme, but this is the first one I got done as he didn't have any armor, just his naked trog body and a sword. I also like their size scaled against other Partha figures. If I saw a troop of these rushing down upon me, I'd probably start running the other way. Hope you enjoy!
