I started this little side project in my Children of the Night WIP. Models are from Freebooter Miniatures ( Werne Klocke) the Crypt is from Minimonsters, Gravestone is from Greenstuffworld, the stairs are made of foam. WIP: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-night-by-glitterwolf/ ********************* Ahhh Love... When you find the right person it's forever. And by that I mean FOREVER!!!! Here's Mr. Mort, He's found his eternal love, and every year on the day they met he brings her a rose and ask her to be his girl once again. Her beautiful blond hair, her lovely smile, how could he resist? And every year, she plays along, holding him off for a short while and then agrees to be his girl, forever and ever. *********************

So my baby approaches me with a pinched look on her face. "I have a problem. I'm going to have to give you a birthday present early." "I'm not sure how this is a problem," I said. "I need to know if these are acceptable," she said. "They aren't what I expected. I want you to look at them, and NOT BE POLITE, durnit. If they are unacceptable, SAY so, and I will return them for a refund." "Um... okay." She shook the envelope open and out fell two blisters. Each held a largish grey resin D6, and bursting from each D6 was... GREAT CTHULHU! The two dice were different; one merely had Cthulhu's head erupting from the top, the second included a wing erupting alongside the head, and a claw bursting from the side, along with a slew of tentacles from the bottom. "Honey, these are GREAT? Who MAKES these?" She has a knack for discovering really cool things I didn't even know existed. She claims she does this, because whenever I see something cool that I want, I just BUY the thing, thus making gifties difficult for her. I fail to see what the problem is. Every birthday and Christmas, she manages to find all kinds of things I didn't know existed at all... "They were on Amazon," she said. "You're sure you're just not being nice?" "They're Cthulhu," I said, "they're dice, and they're miniatures. What's not to like? You can't use 'em as DICE, but they're obviously for display, anyway." She relaxed. "Well, I thought they were metal. I knew they weren't Bones, but I was afraid you wouldn't like plastic that wasn't Bones." "Sweetheart, they're resin. Lots of limited edition stuff is in resin. Resin sucks when it's poorly cast or full of bubble pits, but this stuff is great. I'm not sure I'd wanna buy it from some no-name company online without seeing the actual pieces, but this seems pretty good..." I opened the blisters and examined the minis. "Ooof. This would have cost an ugly amount of money, in pewter. Yeah, there's some mold lines and a bit of flash, but I can clean that up in five minutes. You'll see that in any minis lines. No bubble pits, that's good. Yeah, this is great.... THANK you!" And we had a wonderful sweet moment. I'm really not used to someone who regards minis as a hobby and an art form, as opposed to a pernicious waste of money that could be spent on "things for the house." I love my baby.
