  1. I painted all the figures in the box during May last year. Almost killed me.
  2. Kemet: Blood and Sand is a reworking/second version of the popular game Kemet. Set in Ancient Egypt, you gain powerful abilities and monsters by building pyramids of various colors. Emerald/Green is a completely new color to this version and adds new mechanics and a bit more of a sinister feel. It brings in the ability to sacrifice your troops for enhanced powers, and summoning gods to the table that behave similar to, but slightly different from, creatures. In addition, if you want a more Lovecraftian feel, you can replace the two core gods with Lovecraftian gods/monsters that are mechanically identical. The Emerald original group - Lovecraftian replacements - Demeaned Sphinx - Thoth - Apophis (his rear quarters has no mechanical importance, it just sits in the Nile) - Nyarlathotep (Thoth's replacement)- Cthulhu (Apophis' replacement)-
  3. Looks like about 210 miniatures (including 3D tokens) for the Investigator pledges? Investigator pledges are $10 or $20 more than their counterparts for the first KS. Pretty busy KS schedule: * Omega 7 - ends October 31 * Deep Madness - starts October 29th * Project Elite - starts October 30th * Claustrophobia - starts November 6th * Assassin's Creed - starts November 13th * Reichbusters - starts November 20th Preview page: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/diemensiongames/1882810436?ref=599009&token=11b64c9e&fbclid=IwAR3sG-fUCAOu427SnCAV0OuORFnkpskukQHCeSITVrE_2stwn77Pra__KqM Previous KS: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/diemensiongames/deep-madness/ EDIT: KS has started! 4. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/928070599/wardens?ref=discovery About ardens: A Cosmicist Odyssey is a 1 to 4 player, post-apocalyptic adventure set in a Lovecraftian steampunk universe. Play as Cthulthu and his legion of Starspawn and spread madness over what is left of humanity, or play as the Wardens team as they face an epic, final journey across a ravished world. Wardens offers great replayability with different types of modes, such as 1 vs All, Solo and Co-op.
  5. Some time ago I came across this lovely little gem for sale second hand on a forum. I just had to have it. Y'Golonac the Great Old one, The Defiler, The Lord of Depravity and Perversion... Originally from one of Ramsay Campbells short stories, this is one of the few great old ones that can/bothers to communicate with humans, taking a humanoid form like headless fat man with mouths in his hands who likes to snack on whomever summons him. For my part, I am thinking this mini will do nicely as a bear in Frostgrave. Or a greater demon. Somehow, I think it will see more use as a bear. It will be a pretty intimidating model to face anyhow. Easier to draw a line of sight to though on account of it's size. Great Old One: Y'Golonac the Defiler Avolak Castings Metal 50mm base
  6. I really have far too many miniatures. At least 20, and with a further 20 inbound from the 20 kickstarters I have backed the last few years. So for 2016 I will try to crank out those minis at an elevated pace, and chalk up an even 366 -one for each day - finished by the end of the year. Of course, this means that to avoid spamming the excellent reaper forums with samey, production-line dross nobody really wants to see, I will not be posting each and every one done here even though the rpchallenge says I should. Instead I will post Reaper minis and maybe some other that I find interesting enough. The rest will get pictures linked to the rpchallenge monthly post for anybody who might be interested. so.... I am pushing to finish off the Shadows of Brimstone game sets, and without further ado, here is the final miniature, the end-of-level-boss from Swamps of Death: The Harbinger from the Swamps of Death game set! A stonking big winged greater daemon for the end boss and largest single miniature I have seen in a boardgame! Wing span as a large dragon and far too big for my backdrop! It says alot that it has to squat down to be able to reach our intrepid adventurers... Aaaand... the Shadows of Brimstone sets are both complete! Group pictures to be found on my blog for anyone interested. The Harbinger from the Shadows of Brimstone: Swamps of Death game set Flying Frog Productions HIPS plastic 60mm base
  7. As has been a theme this year, the minis I manage to paint will all count towards the resolutionary challenge. As per the resolutionary painting challenge guidelines, I will post them here, and link in my post in the challenge thread. For some obscure reason the model "77115 Shoggoth" by Reaper features a big globe in it's middle, as if it is on it's back. It's as if the sculptor started with a marble and tacked on some tenatcles with eyes. Don't get me wrong, it is a nice, Lovecraftian model, but i find the marble a bit jarring. It is too large, to perfectly spherical. It simply does not seem to be a part of the creature, and I certainly do not think of Shoggoths when I see it. (if there had been several such globes of varying size held together with amorphous ectoplasm, well, YES! But just one is strange. I see most people paint them as large central eyes. Not me. I try instead to give a sense of scale to the cosmic horrors that wish to break into our reality... The world will not end with a bang, nor a whimper; but with a nom nom nom...slurp. The scale is roughly 1 274 200 000 : 1. or thereabouts. 30mm base. Bones PVC.
  8. As has been a theme this year, the minis I manage to paint will all count towards the resolutionary challenge. As per the resolutionary painting challenge guidelines, I will post them here, and link in my post in the challenge thread. This month I am doing some horribly horrid horrors. Continuing the series "The Unspeakable Mouth", we come to the Bones KS1 77114 "Faceless Horror", a Lovecraftian Monstrosity if ever I saw one. Not anything like a D&D Gibbering Mouther on steroids at all. This ...thing, is all mouth. And eyes. Many, many eyes. (read that bit in Commandant Lassards voice). I put it on a 60mm round plastic base by Renedra. I think I actually prefer my bases to be a bit thicker.
