Presenting Skully, the third member of my Gigalion expansion from Kingdom Death. She likes skulls and has a pet rock. I think this is the weakest of the Survivors, it's not a bad mini but it's a bit of an awkward sculpt that doesn't make a whole lot of sense out of context. Was still fun to paint though. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.

"Umm... Guys, I think I've found our missing team members." Presenting the Cleric, part of the second Echoes of Death set from Kingdom Death, not sure why she has such a gruesome base insert, none of the others came with one. Disappointingly, she looks pretty terrible in the piccys. Honestly, apart from her decidedly wonky eyes, I thought I'd done a fairly good job. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.

Presenting Ashlynn the Vampire. Originally a Dark Elf Priestess mini by Reaper, she lost an ear tip at some point during the manufacturing process, so I removed the other rendering her human, then the paint scheme went in a very vampirey direction. Not one of my best paint jobs, although I am rather pleased with her face and hair, but it was one of my fastest, it's very rare for me to finish a mini in a week. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.

The door opens to reveal a room filled with bones. There are large and small ribs and leg bones, bare and white, piled ankle deep, with a huge pile in the center. The large pile is topped by a cow’s skull, and you see numerous other skulls, shattered and broken, hidden among other bones. As you enter the room, the pile of bones stirs from its resting place. It rises from a crouch to reveal a fully constructed minotaur skeleton. Within its bovine flicker twin motes of malevolent light. Jeff Grubb – Wrath of the Minotaur. It’s the second time I paint this awesome 77559, Undying Minotaur, Dark Heaven Bones 50mm tall model sculpted by Bob Rodolfi. I painted this Bones version for the D&D Fast-Play Adventure Wrath of the Minotaur.

Presenting Sir George the Gangly (I'm sure that's a real word despite what my spellchecker says), not sure who makes him, I found George and a few other Chaos types in a box while I was tidying up. Had a lot of fun painting him, although my camera didn't like taking piccys of so much metallic paint! As always, any comments or criticisms are warming received.

It has been a while, but I am back with another mini from Reaper. This time its a Blood Stone Gnome, which I tried to paint up as a goblin. Hope you all like it. Any C&c is welcomed.

So here is one of the more interesting figures I've seen in a while, and a bit unusual. This is from the Hackmaster series that Ral Partha acquired and currently offers, sculpted by Bob Olley. She is a female dwarf cleric, and as was mentioned somewhere way back when in the Lord of the Rings if I recall originally, she is a bearded female dwarf. Now I'm not going to pretend that she is a beauty to behold, but I think she's an extremely cool little lady, who would probably shove that hammer up into where she sun no longer shines. I probably would have finished her sooner, but I always run into that issue of what colors to use. This started from the color of her beard all the way to virtually the end when I had to decide on a color for her mace haft. Do you give her "feminine" colors or do you just make her kind of generally grungy browns, blacks and greys? So I ended up going with colors, and couldn't resist throwing some pink in there. Not a new figure, sculpted I'm guessing around 2003. As I detached her from her temporary base and looked at the bottom, there wasn't a year on her, but I think most of t he Hackmaster pieces were done in the early 2000's. So anyways, enjoy!

Hi guys, so in my continuing series of old school minis that I painted in the eighties and recently, I've just finished up another one. I've been concentrating on Grenadier figures for this, as this is what we had back then in the day. I just finished this one last night, and the original one I'd painted probably somewhere between 1982-1986, probably closer to 1982. I think that the original one if I recall correctly actually came with the mace broken off, which apparently at the time didn't disturb me and I painted a cleric with a little stick in his hand. and here these two merry round bellied gentlemen are side by side: One of the odder things on this figure was originally I didn't even notice that his foot that was visible was actually a bare foot. I painted his foot as if he were wearing a red shoe. Looking back too at these miniatures with the advent of the Grenadier/Mirlton Kickstarter, wondering if I might participate.

Presenting Bill Sykes (and Bullseye!), leader of the Dickensian faction from the game Twisted. Going back to painting true-scale minis, and rather detailed ones at that, proved harder than I thought it would, but I think I did a decent job. I just wish my varnish hadn't left Bills coat so shiny. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.

Been looking forward to working on some more Twisted minis for a long time (basically ever since I crushed Nightingale trying to assemble her, and realized I was just too clumsy to work with fragile resin minis any more), I'm starting with Bill Sykes and Bullseye:- Weren't as hard to assemble as I feared they might be, just letting the primer dry overnight and I can start painting!

Finished the last mini in the Bones 3 Ogre Command set. Here is the Ogre Chieftain. He doesn't have a squire to polish his armor and the goblins use spit and their loincloths so....his armor isn't in the best of shape. The shield on the back probably needs some battle damage but I hated to mess it up after I spent so much time getting it to look nice! Maybe he "found" it. So here are pictures of the Ogre Chieftain and a group shot at the end. (I need a large photo background!) I added a tutorial on how to do the rust effect.

So finally got these two finished, the two females first, and now I've got the two males pending to finish. One thing I'm a bit miffed at was that I didn't plan the grass well, so you actually can't see her delightfully painted toenails. Oh well, next time.....

I call him Father Barkley. He's a cowardly, messy man who likes to drink a lot. However, through a "clerical" error, he was placed into a elite team of freedom fighters. (There is a Father Barclay in his order who is very clever, brave, handsome and powerful) He's tried to have the error corrected to no avail. So now he bumbles along just hoping to stay alive and not get yelled at too much. (He often times saves the day by accident) However, he's made a very dangerous enemy in Father Barclay.

I'm planning on using this guy as a douche bag reoccurring villain in my Stormbringer Campaign. He looks so douchy with that beard, but he painted up nicely.

Work In Progress for RBG: CleeseWych the Cuss by Tre Manor This is my miniature for my D&D group. This is my first time snow basing. I think it turned out well but I will be getting better with. :) This would have been done before the long Christmas break but... I got lazy. :P C&C Welcome. Thanks! I was particularly proud of the free hand I did on the shield. I use a nail doter for the circles. Additionally, I enjoyed adding the snow to the clothing. :)

So, just got the bases finished up on my Stonehaven elves. Out of the five I've been working on, got four of them done and here they are! I'm in a pretty good mood because even though the initial photographed seemingly turned out yellowish and odd, I was able to just hit the Color button on the editing function and they cleared up to very close to their actual photos. I've been painting Ral Partha figures forever and a day, and this was the first time in a while I've moved over to a different brand, and I really enjoyed painting these figures. One of the nice things about these were the size. I'm not going to lie, bigger is easier. I've got another elf I'm working on, still in the WIP, and once I get him done, I'll go back to painting more Partha stuff. But in the meantime, enjoy!

CleeseWych the Cuss by Tre Manor -Human After a swift polish of this figure I Greenstuffed it on the base. I'm very pleased with the way it came out. Next, I have been doing this for a few miniatures now,Combination Priming, and it has helped a lot. In addition to this, I took these 4 photo's with my lamp above to check the lighting and highlights.

I did this commission tonight for my D&D party's cleric, and figured I'd post it here. He doesn't have thumbs!

The freehand is supposed to be of a nebula. It's the first freehand I attempted and I think it worked out pretty well as long as I preface with the proclamation that it's supposed to be a nebula

Whatever I decide to paint next will be a walk in the park after this guy.

I made him look a little old and beat up, and blind in one eye. Bugbears can live up to 89 years? I think?

When I looked at this guy compared to the rest of my bugbears I saw Angel Face from Fight Club. So I tried to give him some blonde highlights. I should have just done him in full blonde. Oh well.

The Tortoise Cleric, originally I had a whole story made up for his and his friend's background. In short he carries his Brother's Backshield into battle to avenge him. His Brother was slain by Ogres.
