For your consideration, I offer Nolevniss Azrinae: Reaper Miniature 60162. Or in this Multiverse: Elariel Moonshadow This elf Magi was an active sculpt to paint. The robes and cloak are dynamic in portrayal of wind movement and direction. The robes were long and laying folded in back, which suggests weight and volume. Limited palette with work on suggesting different textures of cloth. Teeny eyes. Delicate sculpt too with the hair and features. And the familiar was an enjoyable if not surreal sculpt. I was told by the person who wanted this painted, "And paint the baby dragon gold." When I popped my Opti-visor on I was like, "That's not a dragon..." This creature reminded me of the haemonculus familiar from earlier Dungeons and Dragons editions, while the head reminded me of an eye-less vampire bat. What you see is the result. Cute. (But you don't want to be left alone in the same room with it.) The staff is a weapon of Power - like Purple Name power. Spell book and scrolls along with bandolier pouches told me a story of a travelling Mage - even his staff clutched a simple stone at the foot to act as counterweight. But not a nice guy. I hope you enjoy him. :) Peace and blessings.

So I'm currently working on this awesome sculpt of one of the Pathfinder iconics for a Pathfinder game that I'm playing in starting next week. I'd like some feedback/suggestions on where to go from here. I'm somewhat happy with the progress I've made, but I'd like to add some more detail. I'm also not quite sure if I like the robe robe color on the gauntlet/bracer parts. Any tips on painting fire would be appreciated. I tried going with a red base coat, orange first highlight, and yellow final highlight but it didn't quite turn out how I had it in my head. Also, advice on painting light hair colors would be awesome. I went for a blonde color originally, but unfortunately I base coated the whole figure in black and it ended up showing through way too much so I went with a dark brown that I mixed up from some black/brown/gray paints instead (which I actually like pretty well). I'll also take any advice anybody cares to share on basing, since I have never based any miniatures before. I do have some (GamesWorkshop?) small bases, but I don't have any gravel/sand/flock or anything yet to pretty them up. Also of note, third miniature I have ever painted, all of which have been from the Reaper Bones line. Also the first mini I haven't done an ink wash on.

Here's the first mini that I started and completed in January. His painting scheme is to match the art for the character. This was only my second experiment with fire. I feel like I should've used more midtones and orange on his flaming bird but for my 2nd attempt I'm okay with it (and as he is one of many I have multiples of, I need to just start to get stuff done not be a perfectionist). I tried to take a lot of the advice from prior show-off threads in which people were extremely helpful and told me I needed more contrast in my layers. I did feel a little limited since I was trying to stick to his typical pathfinder color portrayal, but in the end I'm okay with him. Thanks for reading and looking, comments and criticism appreciated!

Figure: Karick-Dar, Apprentice / Zargun, Assassin (body/arm) Sculptor: Sebastian Archer Manufacturer: Guild of Harmony Scale: 30mm Material: White Metal WIP Thread if you are interested For my purposes, this is Sansulves the Bladebound/Kensai Magus who I painted up for one of the guys who I play Pathfinder with. Sansulves is a CN Tiefling and I was asked to paint him up in black/red with pale skin and red eyes. I have to say I really struggled with the face on him, the shadows and the pale color were hard for me to get to where I was actually happy enough with them. Without further ado, I present my finished project. Comments and Critiques are welcomed, thank you for looking!

Paizo puts a lot of details in their art, and Reaper faithfully captured it in this sculpt. This was, by far, one of the most challenging paint jobs I've attempted, but I must say I'm (mostly) satisfied with the results.
