  1. I must admit that from all the Bones 4 core set minis, the Chibis were the ones voted "most likely to stay in their bags" when the KS shipment arrived, as superderformed/ chibi models like these are not really my cup of tea. They are way out of my comfort zone to paint, with all that skin, hair and large surfaces needing somewhat smooth transitions that I am not really any good at. But they have grown on me somewhat, especially since I decided to do them even more cartoony in style than I usually do. Themselves being very cartoony and all. They do look much smoother IRL when not magnified as in the photos. #121 Galladon: from the Smallworld Heroes Chibi subset in the Bones 4 Core set: #121 Galladon from the Small World Heroes subset in the Bones 4 Core set, 2019 Reaper Miniatures Sculpted by Gene Van Horne (?) Made in Bonesium PVC 25mm integral, sculpted base should be available from reapermini.com some time in the future
  2. #141: Skallabjorn the grim AKA Hakon, Iconic skald, sculpted by Bobby Jackson. Size does matter. Well. Scale does matter. At any rate, I will be doing something else than painting characters for a while as it has been a bit of an uninspired slog as of late. Pathfinder Iconics Bones 4 Core set, 2019 Reaper Miniatures Sculpted by Bobby Jackson Made in Bonesium PVC 30mm bases should be available from reapermini.com some time in the future in Bones, are currently available in Metal.
  3. #111: Dr Strange the flim-flam man AKA Erasmus Iconic Medium, sculpted by Bobby Jackson slightly out of fokus due to his hypnotic gestures Size does matter.
  4. #96 Baba Yaga: Baba Yaga, the Evil Witch of Slavic folklore, flying around in her Mortar, wielding her Pestle. Or maybe it's a massive Q-tip to clean out the ears of her chicken-legged dancing hut? I made a 25x35mm oval base and drilled a hole in the bottom of the mortar. I unbent a paperclip slightly and bent the long bit at an angle, and glued the end in the hole. The rest of the paperclip was glued flat on the base and lo! A flying mortar. I glued Baba Yaga herself down at an angle to make her looking more like she was sitting comfortably rather than squatting precariously. I am pleased with how the angles match up to make her look straight ahead. So now she can be, say, a mounted necromancer or other kind of wizard. In the KS this model was represented by a concept drawing, and the sculptor has done a good job of realising it. Regretfully, I did not get her Dancing Hut from the KS.

  6. #142: Senua AKA Adowyn, Iconic hunter, sculpted by Bobby Jackson. Why is not her companion wolf in bones as well? Size does matter. Well. Scale does matter. At any rate, I will be doing something else than painting characters for a while as it has been a bit of an uninspired slog as of late. Pathfinder Iconics Bones 4 Core set, 2019 Reaper Miniatures Sculpted by Bobby Jackson Made in Bonesium PVC 30mm bases should be available from reapermini.com some time in the future in Bones, are currently available in Metal.
  7. I am churning out the Bones 4 core set PC-types just to get them out of the way before I can get stuck in with the more interesting monsters and creatures. Apologies in advance for my lack of photographic skill. I thought I had found a good setting, but clearly not for all. #93: The dwarf version of Xena: Warrior Princess. AiAiAiAiAi!
  8. I am trying get the -in my opinion- less enjoyable player character-type minis out of the way, which will let me do the more fun monster minis when finishing up the core set, hopefully letting me keep up the motivation to actually get the entire set done as I have wowed to do. #150 This Elf Barbarian reminds me of Final Fantasy for some reason...might be the subtle and understated sword-thing. 25mm base.

  10. #119: Monique or to give her full name Monique DeNoir. I don't think she has been made in Bones. There is a 54mm scaled one in metal that has approximately the same pose. I believe she is supposed to be a vampire. I painted her as a drow. ...and all in gloriously sharp pictures! Yay! #117 Almaran #119 Monique from the Small World Heroes subset in the Bones 4 Core set, 2019 Reaper Miniatures Sculpted by Gene Van Horne (?) 13. #117: Almaran or to give his full name Almaran the Gold, Paladin. The normally scaled one was in Bones 1, but I have not painted it yet. Funny that, I seem to have not painted most of the PC character types from the earlier Bones KSs. I wonder why. ...and all in gloriously sharp pictures! Yay! #117 Almaran #119 Monique from the Small World Heroes subset in the Bones 4 Core set, 2019 Reaper Miniatures Sculpted by Gene Van Horne (?)
