funded Scoundrels of the Damned Ruins (Grimforge Miniatures)
Lidless Eye posted a topic in Kickstarter
A very fitting tribute to the classic days of Mordheim. I'm glad they're doing both physical and STLs...I like to copy everything and mirror it when I print multi-part pieces to get more variety. They've also got several add-ons of some of their existing conversion sets. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/grimforge/scoundrels-of-the-damned-ruins?ref=user_menu "Mighty backers, welcome to the second campaign by Grimforge Miniatures! A difficult year has passed for all and we have worked hard on a lot of projects but the main project which has lead our work is to create a new range of multicomponent miniatures capable to give you the opportunity to assembly a lot of different warbands, an evolving expandable system born to integrate old and new models and kit for the best kitbash you can imagine. we have decide to keep the grimdark fantasy style full of citations from the 90's period and from the paint of artists like hyeronimus bosch. We have also taken the big decision to release for the first time also a digital version of this kit to give everyone the opportunity to print their scoundrels at home. So you have 2 options: traditional resin models or Stl files. We have sculpted a complete multicomponent kit and we have a solid range of Stretch Goals to give you the opportunity to unleash your scoundrels during your games. All our miniatures are cast in Italy with high quality resin, the best way to give you miniatures as faithful as possible to the original sculptures. If you already know our models, you already have proof of the quality of our products. On the other hand, if this is your first experience with us then you are even luckier! in the last year we have improved the quality of our models and our efficiency so you will receive our best job! here are the "Scoundrels of the damned ruins": mercenaries, treasure seekers, cutthroats... these are the scum who are ravaging the Damned Ruins and you will be able to assembly a warband in a lot of different styles, from pirate to landsknecht with a moltitutide of weapons and accessories."- 13 replies

How's it going everyone? Got a handful of baddies to show off today. Painted these a few months ago and still pretty proud of them. They're a mix of the Brigands from the Bones 4 Core, and the Bandits from Bones 3: Stoneskull Expansion. Painted them up to match. They'll work great as bandits, thugs, mercenaries, or militia men. Very versatile figures. They were also a great opportunity for me to practice my face-work. Brigands (3) 77707 I'm assuming the upcoming bones "Brigands" are in fact these three. Lovely little models. I'm a big fan of the slightly chunkier bones models that have been coming out lately. They tend to have larger surface areas and better-defined edges. They also tend to have less clutter. This makes for an easier, cleaner paint job in my opinion. More Photos below the Spoiler: Bandits 77507,77508,77509,77510 These four are from the Bones 3 Stoneskull Expansion. I've had them sitting around for awhile, but decided to paint them up with the Brigands. They have similar enough designs to fit together. In general, I like their design less, but once I painted them up that didn't matter. Perfectly serviceable mooks! More Photos beneath the Spoiler: Who's your favorite of the bunch? I'm partial to the Executioner myself, with the Bandit Bully taking a close second.

Fresh from their latest Kickstarter, here are some Mercenaries from MOMMiniaturas. They're really making me want to play Mordheim again. The Ogres: A Witch Hunter type: A self-portrait that I had to get as an add-on: A very obvious remake of one of Mordheim's first special characters, Johann the Knife: The rest of the Empire-style mercenary scum:

Finished these guys on the 22nd, just getting around to posting them on here. From Bones 3: stoneskull expansion. Guessing this set isn't out in their releases of Bones currently. I'm just calling them mercenaries, but very good for bandits or thugs as well.

Hello everyone, meet Rusty! Rusty was an experiment about a year ago to see how I could do with a lot of weathering on a figure, and I had a blast working on him. I decided on heavy weathering since my primary warcaster is a Pirate and I figured that the non aquatic units would be more worse for wear. I enjoyed it so much I might have to make the second part of the name that I've occasionally used official and start a family of Rusty warjacks.

Well, I've got my work cut out for me this time. I recently received my order from 6 Squared Studios so that I could base this big guy. Speaking of which, I started with the base: Then went on to assemble the dock, though I haven't added the twine yet: After which I went to work on his legs: Then finished them: Next, it was on to his arms (which were deceptively simple): And on to his upper body: He'll be done in blues, like the rest of my Privateer warjacks, and I've picked up the Weathered Blues triad for it. There will be a good bit of steel, and a lot of brass. And here's a picture of a cute little crab, to hold you over until I get more done:

Here's Gastonne Crosse, one of the Warmachine: Tactics SE minis I picked up during that KS (Elara, Tyro of the Third Chamber being the other one). I'm not particularly happy with his face or hair, and may revisit them at some point. And now, back to your regularly scheduled programming. As always, C & C welcome!

I know I should probably finish one of my other projects first before starting a new one, but I don't wanna! I wanna play with Space Cowboys! (Well, technically they're Steampunk Cowboys, but I don't think they look particularly steampunky.) So here are the Magnificent 8:- Top row (left to right):- Sun Totem, Hicks Kincade, Jake Mattia, Marcus Wayward. Botton row (left to right):- Flowing River, Zarelda Kincade, K-Free, Sierra Icarus. And here they are after a coat of White Primer and a brown wash:- I've been trying to get out of the habit of pre-shading my minis (it uses up a Lot of wash), but my poor, old eyes needed help in picking out the fine details on these guys. If you're wondering about the random selection of bases, they're just temps. Originally I was going to make desert bases (The Eight were protecting a frontier settlement in an alien wasteland from Space Bandits), but Wild West Exodus uses their own style of really tall bases, and flipped over they have a really nice recess prefect for using Water Effects, so now the Eight are protecting settlers on a swamp moon from Space Bandits. Hopefully my water stuff won't crack like it did the last time I tried making a swamp base. Didn't get to far with this side of the project, glued the cork and sand in:- But the sand absorbed the IMEF Olive I attempted to paint on it, so I slobbered Black Primer over them all:- And now I'm waiting for everything to dry.

Well, since the general consensus seems to be "one WIP, many SOs," here's what I've finished recently. You'll have to excuse the picture quality, I've had to use a makeshift light box (consisting of my desk lamp and an envelope as a backdrop). Gun Mage Captain Adept Solo As always, C&C welcome!

Here is another tabletop-bound mini. He is my Varisian Half-Sylph Grifter/Ninja character for the Pathfinder (I use the term loosely) game we run. He is in the process of trying to find a cure for vampirism after being bitten by an elder vampire lord and coming back as a partially turned vampire. Whoa. Anyway, the idea is tabletop quality, so I didn't kill myself too much on all the buckles. However, I'd like to point out that I used a tip I learned on these very forums to do the studded armor. I used a toothpick! It works great... Without further ado... Lord Cirrus Valens, Fey-Friend

I love her most of all for not making me glue an arm/leg/head or having to use sculpting putty anywhere.
