  1. Midlam got me again! Wizards' Apprentices Volume II: Now we got gifted magical girls full of promise to go with their male classmates from "Volume 1" (Midlam MIniatures' first KS in 2016).
  2. Another fun project from Midlam, this time Gnome and Halfling Children. Unlike most of their previous projects, they're having multiple stretch goals. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1662635043/gnome-and-halfling-children/description Story Most Halfling children (or Quarterlings) lead a happy carefree existence in the sleepy backwaters of the halfling lands, in preparation for their happy care free adulthood that they will spend in those same lands. Gnome Children (or Gnomelings) generally play around their Gnome hill homes, told not to go too far, but equally, not to hang around inside the hill getting in everyone's way. Quarterlings and Gnomelings Welcome to our latest project, where we bring you the much anticipated junior Gnomes and Halflings! These compliment Midlam Miniatures' large and growing range of Adult Gnomes and Halflings. Here you can back one, the other, or both sets! Stretch Goal Levels #1 - #3 Unlocked! Stretch Goals Unlike most of our Kickstarters which offer 1 or perhaps 2 miniatures, we are going to add a Halfling and Gnome Child miniature for ever £1000 we reach, until the classes are empty and we have run out of miniatures. Some stretch goal miniatures might be bigger than others and may count as two stretch goals (over £2000) due to their size and weight.
  3. Right on the heels of their last shipped campaign, Midlam Miniatures is back. After several years of halflings, the gnomes are back! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1662635043/gnomes-a-class-of-their-own Also available in different pledge combos, two of the older campaigns: I already own this one from 2018 (Common - Garden Gnomes): Royal Court of the Common (Garden) Gnomes (2019):
  4. Here is some delightful halflings from the Townfolk #4 set from Midlam Miniatures. I love these guys and managed to finish 1 a day in December. Halfling Blacksmith (SKU HTC30), Halfling Butcher (SKU HTC17), Halfling Baker (SKU HTC18) and Halfling Herald (SKU HTC24)
  5. When I see this guys I see the halfling answer to Davey Crockett... Another mini painted as part of my December 2020 painting spree. He is the Halflfing Trapper (SKU HTC23) and he is part of the Town Council #4 set from Midlam Miniatures.
  6. These cute critters were extremely easy to paint. Mostly just a base coat and a quick drybrush.
  7. This is the miniatures from the Ghost of Midlam Manor Kickstarter. I decided I wanted to speed paint something and these ghosts fit the bill, so that is how this became the first Kickstarter completely painted at my house. The whole gang: The dark ghosties. The rusty parts was painted with an ancient paint, Adikolor Rust, from at least 25 years ago. I am kinda amazed its still viable. The sheet ghost. I think this one is hilariously funny. The gents. The Ladies.
  8. Kickstarter Garden Gnomes from Midlam Miniatures
  9. Who doesn't love Halflings in Mittens? Wait, that's not the name of the set? Why not? Alright, it turns out they're actually "The Winter Adventurers" from a recent Midlam Miniatures Kickstarter. As always, Midlam delivers nice old-school designs with newer sculpting methods and details. I think quite highly of the company. The Halflings in Mittens: Wizards and their apprentices: The Dwarfette: A human scout. I tried to go with an Inuit look for her. Every party has that guy:
  10. For the most recent works in progress, a gigantic distraction from my poor Death Guard project. In the last week, multiple delayed Kickstarters (and one on-time Nickstarter) arrived...as well as the ReaperCon Swag Bag! Arrivals included: Stonehaven Miniatures Giants Stonehaven Adventurers 2017 Midlam Miniatures "Winter Adventurers" Reapercon Swag Bag Frostgrave: Ghost Archipelago Nickstarter While I am trying to complete the Death Guard, I did ready these groups for prime time: The Giants are nicely sized. While there are some issues with the scaling between Giant "tribes" in comparison to 5E entries, they do tower over adventurers. The Wolf Lord, who I expected to be an Ogre-sized werewolf, is massive!
  11. A gallery dedicated to the random fantasy guys I finished while I was working on the other themed projects: A bunch of randos: Dolmen from Ganesha Games: A Hobgoblin Wizard, also from Ganesha Games: A Halfling Thief from Red Box Games: A Kraken Cult Leader from Midlam Miniatures:
  12. Another recently finished project, some Halfling Wizards from Midlam Miniature's Kickstarter. The full school: The Headmistress: The Archmage (with an attempted theme at a mushroom themed outfit) The Scrollbearer: The Junior Alchemist: The Junior Druid:
  13. Fresh from the Kickstarter forges, here's another set: The Wizard Apprentices from Midlam Miniatures. First, the graduating class of 2016 (if they all make it): The ever-cautious Explodio: The scholarly Bookwrym: The Terrific Toadini! I've also been told he resembles some Presto character from an unknown 80s cartoon show. The studious Scrollux: My favorite of the set, the hexing Hattrix! I decided to go with more of a Fantasia theme rather than my original idea of "Simon the Sorcerer" The screwy Sanloss!
