  1. Hello friends!! I'm wanting to do a little market research and I'm hoping I can get your help. For Bones V I sculpted a bunch of kids heroes and their pet companions. These were some of my favorite figures to work on and I'd like to do more. To be very very clear I have NO indication that Reaper will be producing any more of those types of figures and I'm in no way promising to create anything we discuss here. I have no shortage of ideas when it comes to new kid heroes but I'm wanting to see what types of figures people would want if hypothetically I decided to create
  2. Story Welcome to the Splintered Light Miniatures 15mm Return to the Black Root Forest Kickstarter Campaign. For many years, renowned sculptor Ben Siens has added great sculpts to our line of fantasy figures. A year ago, we ran a successful campaign adding beastmen and treemen into our range of miniatures. Over the past year, Siens has sculpted more wonderful figures for us and we decided to offer them to you via a second Kickstarter. Our primary goal for this campaign is getting the funds needed for the production molds and initial castings. Our hope
  3. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/fieldofscreams/field-of-screams?ref=user_menu Just wanted to throw this one out there. Witchborn is a rather cool tabletop minis game, but there is also a companion app for each scenario with a lot of variety that allows you to play that scenario many times, but each one can be a very different experience. Your warband will also evolve over time. I discovered the game at GenCon in 2017 and have really enjoyed it every time I've played. Plus, Cory is really cool and responsive. I haven't checked this out yet, but you can also play the game o

  6. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1662635043/halflings-gone-bad-volume-two/description Story The world of Alberon, as ancient and unknowable as its timeless depths are, has few certainties for those that live in it, but ruin and corruption awaits all but a blessed few. Halflings are, of course, no exception... The Western Wastelands beyond Midlam are a harsh unforgiving environment, that breeds a fierceness through necessity for survival alone. It is thought that the first halflings to enter the Wastelands, did so unwillingly, captured by Hobg
  7. Hell Awaits... Wave 5 - This time featuring some Lesser Key of Solomon Goetia inspired Demons Here's the link to the Kickstarter for anyone who might be interested: Wave 5 Thanks for looking!
  8. Facebookey page Yup, I'm backing!
  9. This goes live today (i'll add a link when it does) (almost complete pre-production image, minor changes possible) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkFwekye_zQ unboxing of the game (now if you want tiles for a dungeon crawl this looks a good deal) this is a reprint of the well regarded boardgame Caustrophobia (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/36932/claustrophobia) and it's first expansion with all new art assets and minis (unpainted) Monolith has already manufactured the game so it will be limited to 10,000 copies *I;ve a
  10. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/russrmc/animal-adventures-tales-of-dungeons-and-doggies/description So you have seen the minis but what about the rules doc? Well, here is just one example of the art quality thanks to the incredible talents of April Prime! Amazingly, this is still work in progress, but she is working on art for every dog and a few bonus pieces as well....hmmm..maybe art prints should be available... Here's a small piece of Dungeons and Doggies fiction to enjoy! Every mini will have an associated 'icon character' pre generated in the rules pack, and for
  11. Liking the look of some of the minis. Wary of what the production minis will be like. I want more than boardgame quality.
  12. Now, MOST of us have a clue where the monsters came from, at least in a rudimentary sense. Tolkien invented the orc as we know it, and the giant spider in fantasy; Robert E. Howard seemed to have a thing for giant snakes. We know that centaurs came from ancient Greece, dwarves and trolls from Scandinavian myth, goblins from Western Europe, dragons from more or less everywhere, and so on. No, don't correct me; I'm bein' general here, and approaching a point. I'm kinda curious, though: Where'd some of the weirdier critters come from? It is legend among the Gamers and the Geekosphere about
  13. The world's first hot-swappable gaming miniatures! A line of minis with interchangeable magnetic items to customize your loadout. About this project How you think about gaming miniatures is about to change Hand of Glory is a new type of gaming miniature with a very cool twist: each Hand of Glory figure and accessory is magnetized using tiny rare-earth magnets. This means for the first time, you will be able to change your character on the fly. This will literally change the game! Since everything in the Hand of Glory line is magnetized, your c
  14. So I took a commission to paint some minis for a tabletop game. I didn't even think to ask what material they were made from. I get them, and they're 3D printed. Have any of you primed and painted this stuff? It's fairly high quality for 3D printing, but there are extremely slight striations. I am hoping that primer will smooth it out, but now I'm concerned with how the primer will react to this material. I have already seen what happens to the GW plastic when someone else applied the spray primer too close, so I'm thinking the safest thing might be brush on. Any advice or he
  15. I wasn't sure what the GM was going to run last night, so I just grabbed everything I painted last year. Sorry for the bad phone photos. In the scenario, 5 of us return from a weekend camping trip to find the base invaded. The pink rectangles represent helicopters. We cleared the table with hand weapons and judicious use of twerking. :D
  16. This ends in 24 hours roughly. There's also a related previous kickestarter. Expands on previous line.
  17. FreeZeBee is a duel boardgame for 2 players. Each player chooses a team of four athletes, endowed with unique skills and abilities. You can build a game on speed or agility, or to rely on the spirit of luck. For the first time in the history of sporting board games, Frisbee became the basis for the game. A real mix of fantasy and Frisbee!
  18. hey all! hopefully am posting in right place. I'm after Bones minis that fit a swamp theme. I've done the Figure Finder, and got my first order in already (frogs, squogs and mushroom men). I'm designing an RPG encounter/adventure in a swamp to go on my swamp board. So in a way the RPG is going to fit the minis, which are going to fit the board, which is probably a bass ackwards way of doing it but it is fun :D These are some of the ones I've picked out so far for my March order: 03146: Frog Men (2) 02630: Frogmen 77273: Dragon Hatchling Black 03243: Swam
  19. Just heard about this. I'm super excited, but my wallet hurts already. Definitely a top 3 miniatures line and game for me. There is a book of faces page already. Can't wait!
  20. Hello all! I am a very novice beginner to miniature painting, and have only been doing it for about a year or so. I feel like my skills are leveling up pretty quickly, but still need some advice. My friend is trying to coax me into pen and paper RPGs like DnD and pathfinder, and we are currently doing a pathfinder session. To add flavor to the games and because I like to feel like I'm participating, I'm working on terrain and buildings. The first building that I'm nearing completion on is Tabletop World's Mansion. Because of the large size of the model (and the hope that I'll be g

  22. I will be building 2 custom 12*9*1 foam storage trays for my metal minis, using foam, felt, foamcore. Yesterday I applied felt to the first side of the foamcore base. Today I will apply felt to the other side. This will give a sturdy base and something soft for the minis to rest on. Second side is so that I can layer them and worry less about scratching. Total cost materials glue, 5$ foam, 1$ felt, 1$ foamcore. Bonus, I have trays that will fit in my fancy Muji storage boxes. Photos later.
  23. A question for the greater reaper hive mind: I had 8 figures in a simple green bath...which I forgot about for many months. The archer left torso has a divot, as does the center torso ('83). Chick in right hand side(97) has her entire rear end gone. Figure center is the arm from a Pillager mech(93). A striker light tank (88?) has a similar divot formation on the cockpit and the turret. There was a magnet in the arm where the black hole is, the brown discoloration was not paint. Lead rot? Or did I unleash a hellish chemical reaction?
  24. I am currently running DND5E OOTA and these are some of the minis I've painted. The only spoilers are character & place names. I have posted 1 or 2 of these minis before but I have reshot or touched up. Most of these are new. The Players! My players have a mix of DND experience some played as kids, some read the drizzt novels some no experience at all Background: Ulus, a war priest from the Stonetoe dwarf clan. Though good by nature, betrayal has left him cynical and angry. The absence of war left Ulus to find solace in masonry, but the Drow have snatched him back into and adv
  25. Hi there everyone! Oakydeer here, and I'm a very very new to the world of tabletop RPGS. I'd always heard of the magical game dungeons and dragons but was always intimidated by it and didn't know when or how to start. But a month ago, I decided to take the plunge and gather my friends for our first DnD session, with me as the DM. And... we all became obsessed. So now, here I am, completelly engrossed in the world of tabletop RPGs and eager to start sculpting and painting my own figures! I'm open to any advice from any of you wonderful veterans regarding anything, be it painting and
