  1. Hi there everyone! Oakydeer here, and I'm a very very new to the world of tabletop RPGS. I'd always heard of the magical game dungeons and dragons but was always intimidated by it and didn't know when or how to start. But a month ago, I decided to take the plunge and gather my friends for our first DnD session, with me as the DM. And... we all became obsessed. So now, here I am, completelly engrossed in the world of tabletop RPGs and eager to start sculpting and painting my own figures! I'm open to any advice from any of you wonderful veterans regarding anything, be it painting and
  2. I didn't realize until I saw the post from March 2nd about the new minis that some of your minis are actually made with metal material. Prior to knowing this I had ordered some minis and some paints. The one half orc sorcerer mini (the one with the cool armor and holding his staff with both hands), Dorly, the Halfling with the musket. And a shadowguard mini. Noticing their prices were a little bit more expensive than the normal reaper bones minis, I assumed that these pieces were a better quality plastic, but are they actually made of metal? Like how the new Lich piece is from March
  3. I'm not sure, but I thought I recalled that at least one someone, somewhere, has Ghostbusters minis, or near enough to be used as them. Does anyone happen to know if this is so, and if so, who? Classic Ghostbusters would be welcome, but I will admit I am really interested in figures from the new remake.
  4. What accessories do you all like using to enhance your gaming experience? What accessories do you wish you could have?
  5. Hello Everyone - We are launching our Kickstarter tonight, April 20, 2015. We hope you all can check it out! It will feature Misaki the Fire Girl, and more minatures will be unlocked along the way. Misaki turned out to be absolutely beautiful, and you can check out close up pics of her on our website. http://www.mkadventures.com/ Thanks for everyone's support! We have been working hard on this, and are ready with Production Metals in hand. Yes, the pictures of the painted Misaki on our website are from the Production Molds... Thanks!
  6. Please see page 1 here for rules and guidelines/questions. This is also the chatter thread here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/58628-resolutionary-painting-challenge-chatterinfo-thread/ Also, please only create a single index post for your links. This means to modify your existing post when you get a new figure finished instead of posting a new one. this month's challenge is...4! But! We have a bonus challenge. Have at it!
  7. I've just finished the vampire collection minus a few sci-fi and western minis I sold. Here are some pics. More on the "Paint my Bones" FB page. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10152428672719671&set=p.10152428672719671&type=1&theater
  8. I have yammered at some length about various projects I've done lately, and have gotten some questions, as well as "pics or it didn't happen." So here's some stuff from recent, and some stuff from not so recent that I've TALKED about recently. The Hall of Heroes: All modded from currently available Reaper figures; at least I THINK they're all currently available; can't remember about Conan, though. Fafhrd is modified to put a poniard in his left hand rather than a shield; the Gray Mouser likewise, to get rid of a gem in his left hand and replace it with a throwing dagger. That, and his sword
  9. Here are my stonehaven gnomes so far. I payed extra shipping and got the first set of gnomes delivered with the rest months later. Was a good move as one of my players choose to play as one of them. This is the first gnome I painted then I got my bones ks and was painting alot so I felt I had improved when I got the rest of the gnomes! Hooded figure on bat mount Hooded figure My favorite so far gnome ranger! And the dwarf ranger. I ordered the dwarf set off there website while waiting for the gnomes, really liked them. Check there Elve
  10. Starting a paint club in Greenville, SC. Trying to meet the first Saturday of the month from noonish until 3 or 4 pm. Location: Boardwalk Games, 1175 Woods Crossing Road 864.297.6924 Start Time: 12 noon (setup begins around 11) Finish time: 6 pm We are trying to get a well known artist to help us jumpstart the paint club with some open group lessons as well as the possibility of semi-private instruction as well! Come join us for
  11. I've decided to put myself out there with a miniature I am clueless as to how to paint. I have a few ideas, but I also am open to suggestions from the forum. I am going to paint Arrius, Skelatel Warior. I intend to use some of the techniques that I have been watching. My "Dragged though the swamp" on Decisions Decisions worked for me, but was a lot of wash being lost, and covered over. Think this time I will paint smarter, not heavier. I will solicit your input, and I hope that you will indulge me with your comments. If I learn something, so will anyone looking at the topic. Jasonator
  12. (Update 9/23: Zombies and Swarms, oh my!) Rather than make this first post a long page of doom, I'll just reply to it with more pictures and link to it here. 9/23 Zombies and Swarms Hey guys! I figured I'd just start my own topic for my painting log as I power through all the bones I got! I will be updating this as I paint more. :) 77012: Gnoll Warrior My first Bones Mini! I bought him while waiting for the rest to arrive, to see what this was all about. This is out of the box and painted. Didn't know about washing them first. >.> 77169: Flesh Golem Painted as an Ear
  13. Some amazing art and great looking models, lots of options, well thought out but its in euros ;\ http://www.indiegogo.com/spherewarssuperiors
  14. Came across this little guy today. he's been struggling along for a while now, but his designs are really very interesting and are quite good. He has sculpts of almost everything he's listing here (all but a few stretch goal minis are depicted). His prices are a bit on the higher end (since a lot of his little guys are quite small looking), but this guy is basically starting from scratch, so it's understandable with his current situation. Currently, the batch prices are: $53 gets you "All the Little Guys" - This includes: 3 Floating Eyes, 3 Phlemf, 1 of each of all 3 Peepers, a Wolf-in-Sh
  15. Updated game + miniatures looks like $85 could be the amount to pledge http://www.kickstart...rlands?ref=live
