  1. Here's another bit of ordnance - a WW II Japanese Type 97 Shinhoto Chi Ha Tank from Tamiya. 1/35 scale, all plastic, with flexible tracks. The kit dates back to the 80s. Fairly easy cleanup and assembly. Paashe VL airbrush and Tester's Model Master, et al, paints. Colored pencils for the paint chips, scratches, abrasions, etc. Reaper acrylics for the various oil, gas, dirt, and dust stains. Finished off with chalk pastels (old school). The base is a cutup, sanded, and stained oak plank from Home Depot. Name plate from a local trophy shop. Now everyone can join in the fun in RC's Or
  2. Hey there my second submission today is my take on the mighty Stone golem...Now it is unusual! I looked up the brightest most unusual stone I could find and found a red white and bone pebble! I emulated this on the golem I hope you like it! It was the red pebble although my version is a lot lighter!
  3. About 3 or 4 weeks ago I remember that there were some new models available on the bones page, some of which I took a particular liking to: there were two fat zombie creatures which I can only think of comparing to Warhammer 40k's Nurgle Great Unclean One (only much much smaller). Among these models which vanished was the Dragon's Don't Share set, which has reappeared. I was just wondering if anyone knew why these models were removed or when they will return and be available for purchase?
  4. Heyguys, been a long time since I last posted. I recently decided I want to build a diorama involvingminiatures and at last one muscle car model. I'm not certain of what scale model car I should beleaving toward. I want one of my characters to conceivably be able to drive said car.
  5. I've been poking around the possibility of aircraft and planes more or less compatible with 28mm miniatures. It looks like the most common airplane model scale by a large margin is 1/48, which seems close enough, I think. Unfortunately, information on Amazon is sometimes incomplete and possibly inaccurate. I've found two models of B29 Superfortresses, both claiming to be in 1/48 scale. One says it is 9" by 7". The other says its dimensions are 30"x15"x10", which seems a bit odd, but one of the reviewers claims it is almost 2 feet long and 3 feet wide. Is either of these ac
  6. Ok since BugLips broke the ice with his Enterprise I thought people might be interested in a kit I am working on right now. The kit is a repro by Polar Lights of the original Aurora POA Dr. Zira kit. Box looks like this I started out with the head and face as this was the part I wanted to make sure was the best overall. Here are the initial blending shots of her face. I then blocked in the hair and shaded / highlighted finally I did the eyes and tried to soften a few blends so the final result looks like this Please feel free to critique in any way
  7. I received an email newsletter from CoolMiniOrNot just before, and in it I noticed this chap: https://www.coolminiornot.com/shop/54mm-plus-category/industria-mechanika/adrian-smith-s-frankenstein-1.html This seemed rather familiar: it is very (very) similar to Anvall the Thrice Damned from the Reaper store. https://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/anvall/sku-down/01521 The sculptors are different, and the Frankenstein version claims it's a 3D printed design which was the winner of competition to realise a sketch by the artist - but it just seems so similar in st
  8. So, as a surprise and celebration of my Githyanki character finding a proto-spelljammer to work on in our D&D game, my husband gave me the slightly early birthday present* of this resin ship model: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://www.gelaendestuecke.de/onlineshop/product_info.php%3Finfo%3Dp359_schiffsbausatz-no--2.html&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dschiffsbausatz%2Bno%2B2%26client%3Dsafari%26hl%3Den I've not worked with resin before, and I haven't done much model building either. The instructions are surprisingly minimalist for a German product (Complet
