  1. I've been slowly (very slowly) working my way through some of the larger non-humanoid figures in my collection. This one took me about a year to complete, mostly because of the wings. I haven't figured out how to do the translucent effect yet, but I'm getting closer.
  2. Love these little guys, they are so cute and evil looking at the same time. This is the Bones version. I previously did two metal homonculi, who will be happy to have a new pack member.
  3. Slowly working through the horde of plastic. These guys are about the most boring things ever. I freely admit to crappy basecoat, drybrush, and wash techniques to get these done as quickly as possible. Enjoy: I even got crappy photos.
  4. Hello everyone, I hope those who were able to attend enjoyed their ReperCon weekend. It was fun to follow along on Twitch while painting. Here are pictures of 60027, Dorella Kreeg the Ogre Shaman. It's the forth Hook Mountain Ogre model sculpted by David Summers for Pathfinder. It was painted with Reaper MSP paint and stand on 50mm wide base. From left to right; 60008 Hook Mountain Ogre #1, 60037 Hookmaw Kreeg, 60030 Hook Mountain Ogre #2 and 60027, Dorella Kreeg the Ogre Shaman.
  5. Hello everyone, good Friday. Here's the second Ogre from the series of 4 Hook Mountain Ogre I'm currently working on. This Pathfinder model was sculpted by David Summers. It stands on a 50mm wide base and was produced by Reaper Miniatures under sku: 60030. It was entirely painted with Reaper MSP paint, with the same colors I used on the first one. I went for a simple skin tone; 29822 suntan flesh, 09659 ginger cookie and a bit of 29825 tusk ivory. Other color I used are; 09136 walnut brown, 09028 muddy brown, 09029 earth brown, 09284 lonestar leather, 09159 worn olive, 29848 jungle

It stands on a 50mm wide base and was entirely painted with Reaper MSP paint. I went for a simple skin tone; 29822 suntan flesh, 09659 ginger cookie and a bit of 29825 tusk ivory. For those of you in
  7. Hello everyone, here is the last of the four amazing ogre from Bobby Jackson. This one is 44006, Garghuk Ogre Chieftain. All painted with Reaper MSP paint and mounted on a 50mm wide base. Group picture form left to right; 44006 Garghuk Ogre Chieftain, 77454 Ogre Clubber, 77456 Ogre Guard and 77455, Ogre Smasher.
  8. Hello everyone, here is the third of the quartet, the 77456, Ogre Guard sculpted by Bobby Jackson. Have a good week. 77454, Ogre Clubber, 77456, Ogre Guard and 77455, Ogre Smasher.
  9. Hello everyone, I'm mostly done with the second Ogre, I just need to do some touch ups. It's clubbing time, the Ogre way! This one is the 77454, Ogre Clubber sculpted by Bobby Jackson. I swapped the top of its club with that of the 77455, Ogre Smasher. I also added a skull at his waist belt on the left side. As always I used Reaper MSP paint. 77455, Ogre Smasher and 77454, Ogre Clubber
  10. Hello everyone, I'm currently working on an Ogre gang and completed the painting on this model last night. This is a 77455, Ogre Smasher sculpted by Bobby Jackson. I swapped the top of its club with that of the 77454, Ogre Clubber. I also added three more skulls at his waist belt. it was all painted with Reaper MSP paint. I will complete the base later since I may add more elements to it.
  11. Hi All, I haven't posted in a good while, so I thought Id share a pair of pieces that are special to me - Giant Leeches! This was my contribution to bones 4, and it is always a gratifying (and edifying) experience to paint a mini I have sculpted. Despite the special spot in my collection, I didn't go crazy with the paint jobs. It is a pretty basic palate and only took me a day or two to complete. As sculpts, the goal was to make easy to paint minis that filled a gap in the lineup and hit the table pretty often - I think these achieved that. The anatomy was based on observations of several
  12. I had done this for RCL Q2 large monster. Blue my least and most problem color to paint, really need to use the color more never feel right painting blue, ugh.
  13. after doing the bugbears I figured why not try something a little bigger, how about some ogre's, unfortunately most of the ogre's were sold out in the reaper store and ended up getting this piece which at the time didn't know I already had.
  14. and the last of the bugbear raiding party I did.
  15. Raiding party member.
  16. and now for his raiding party
  17. and than Reaper came out with a new bones usa bugbear so just had to try and paint him along with a raiding party for them.
  18. Ok. Prepping for the next Bones I WIP. The Eyes Have It! I have this in metal too, so I’m planning to do both together. You can see I did some surgery on the metal one. Lots of hole drilling after cleaning mold lines.
  19. I had a burst of mini painting and finished a bunch of minis this month - my first time painting I think since December 2020? Terraincrate (WIP) Crystal Peaks Campsite Peaceful Park Monster (WIP) Bones Pygmy Mammoth (WIP) with toddler Nolzurs Treant (WIP) Bones graveyard terrain (WIP) Bones High Rollers (WIP) Not all of these have been sealed, some have not had matte coats yet. The "fire" from the Crystal Peaks set got lost during priming. Links to come when not in my phone. Surprised myself with t
  20. Never heard of this before but it's a cool monster. Not sure when or where you'd run into one, but I bet it will be the most inconvenient time and place. According to online sources they come in all colors, so I loosely based mine on a green iguana.
  21. Good Friday everyone, I just took some pictures of the 02479, Ettin I completed last night. This is a Dark Heaven Legends metal model that was sculpted by Jason Wiebe. It stand on a 50mm base and I painted it with Reaper MSP paint. Coincidently, I was delighted to see the amazing upcoming two-headed Troll also sculpted by Jason Wiebe that was announced last night during Reaper Live #117 on Twitch. (see the image under spoiler and the end of the post).
  22. Hello everyone, back to the classics today. Here my render of Ben Siens 77009, Werewolf.
  23. Another little piece that I am happy to finally have completed. I love these monsters and they are often in my dungeons but rarely seen and never sought after. Hunting these is like hunting the garbage collector, you only do it when you think you threw out something valuable. But there have been a couple of points where I wished I had a miniature for it and now that's resolved. Hope you like him... I named him Fred
  24. Hello everyone, here is my spirit of the forest 02690, Owlbear. It was sculpted by Jason Wiebe. I placed it on a 50mm base and painted it with Reaper MSP paint. I already had painted this model 10 years ago, you can see the other version here.
