I've got a bunch of minis to post from my Cthulhu: Death May Die set. Here are the first ones- I'll be back to update as I get more pics.

From Bones 3: Gug "It was a paw, fully two feet and a half across, and equipped with formidable talons. After it came another paw, and after that a great black-furred arm to which both of the paws were attached by short forearms. Then two pink eyes shone, and the head of the awakened gug sentry, large as a barrel, wabbled into view. The eyes jutted two inches from each side, shaded by bony protuberances overgrown with coarse hairs. But the head was chiefly terrible because of the mouth. That mouth had great yellow fangs and ran from the top to the bottom of the head, opening vertically instead of horizontally." H.P.Lovecraft, The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath Ahoy, my dream enemy! Have at you! Also, this one will be a part of the Kings of War Nightstalkers army. 77524 Gug, Eldritch Horror from the Bones 3 Mythos expansion Reaper Miniatures 2016 Sculpted by Michael Brower Classic Bones 40mm base

Yet another of my entries in a painting league on another forum Pride and Joy A nice walk in the park for the Lovecrafts. Sorry about the pics being a bit blurry, I am still struggling with the camera. It seems it is not meant for such small items. Most of the miniatures are from a recent 2019 kickstarter by Bear's Head Miniatures, apart from the large Star Spawn that is from the game Cthulhu Wars by Petersen Games. One of the kickstarters for that game had an option for one each of the miniatures extra, and this one is from that set. I hacked off the moulded base it originally came with so I could have similar style bases for the whole family. Lots of pics and such below, go on, you know you want to click it:

Hey gang! Thought I'd post the Eldritch Demon I painted recently. I decided to take a departure from the iconic green flesh mythos monster look and try a more orangey-jaundice flesh tone. Also used a yellow/orange mix to highlight the cool patterns covering the skin. Also, used the MSP Adamantium Black to give the base a neat volcanic/space rock look. I did keep the tentacles a traditional pink colour. Just seemed to fit with the whole new flesh, soft and squishy, feel (like a sea creature without its shell?)... Cheers! :) -E.E.

I'm generally bad at terrain. So I decided to challenge myself. I painted the obelisk as a dark stone and the octopus on top as a green stone with cabochon eyes. I even went fancy and attempted to put some red glow/liquidity to the runes on the obelisk. I... don't remember painting those eyes like they're glowing... Wait, is that the camera's fault? Did... Um... It... appears my cell phone camera had a hard time focusing on such immense evil... Yes, that must be it. Here's a better pic of the runes. Yes, there we go. As soon as those eyes aren't looking at the camera it focuses just fine

As implied in the thread title: A) I painted these over the long weekend, B) I intend to use them as members of one of the Cults of the Dragon Below in my upcoming Eberron campaign, and C) I have no idea where these minis came from. I mean, I know that I procured them as part of a lot from my FLGS, but they came loose and I don't know a manufacturer, sculptor, etc. There's not any stamp on them anywhere, so no clues there. I got these three, and two more of each figure with exposed heads (the one with the hood up is the only copy of that pose)...so they may have come in a set of three, or a set of seven with one leader figure, or they may be three separate products and I just got doubles. EDIT: They come from Old Glory's SuperFigs line, where they are sold in packs of five. The guy on the right of my photos below is actually the unique "leader" model. Thanks, @strawhat for pointing me the right way! Anyway, pretty generic cult-mooks, and I gave them correspondingly generic color schemes. The robes are a progression of Walnut Brown, Blackened Brown and Bright Red; the hoods and sashes are Carnage Red up through Saffron Sunset into Sunlight Yellow. Skin is Golden Skin mixed up or down with Desert Sand and Walnut Brown. Probably not as much contrast as they could have, but they'll be decent mooks on the table. C&C always welcome, and if anyone can identify them, please do so!

Got ol Shubbu-Shubbu painted up a while ago, never got around to showing her off. The base has pieces of acritter from Cthulu-Wars, as well as tentacles from Reaper's Creature Components (03334) and a pile of skills from Forge Prints, as well as copious amounts of water effects for slime. Really enjoyed painting this abomination. I based the colors a bit on the Demogorgon from Stranger Things, as the mouth really reminded me of the beast.

Here's one of the Cthulhu Mythos creatures from Kickstarter III, a Gug. I really don't know what that is; I've played a bit of Call of Cthulhu from time to time, but never come across one of these. I suppose I could look it up, but I'm lazy.

This is one of the Cthulhoid critters from the recent Bones Kickstarter. I think they call it Spawn of Shub-Niggurath, but I'm not completely sure about that. Just a side note: Windows 10 did an update recently, and since then Photoshop's colour balance has gone entirely to broccoli. What I see in Photoshop has no relation to what I get as output, and I'm really struggling to figure out how to get it back. That's why all of these images are too blue.

Allright so I was painting and then the idea occurred to me to try to paint gore on the wings. Needless to say I got carried away and I'm not *quite* sure how to make it look good again. Please help! Third pic specifically, I'm fairly happy with the other parts.

Hi, I have received and i'm painting Bones 3 Mythos expansion but i have'nt identified all the monsters. I know that there is a : - One Gug - 4 deep ones Buit for the others i'm not sure. Is the big one a Shub Niggurath "dark young one" ? There are two creatures with 4 legsand tentacles on the head (Chtuloids?) And at last a sort of little monster compposed with 3 tentacles and a lot of mouths. As i haven't read Lovecraft, a bit of help wouls be welcome (including for the paint color schemes) Thanks !

Started working my way through the Mythos Expansion, and the monsters seemed like the most fun to paint so I did those first. I started with good intentions of following the Mythos... they.... didn't last. First up the Dark Young: The mouths was like leaves and the whole thing was like a tree in the wind, a black tree with lots of branches trailing to the ground, and a whole lot of roots ending in hoofs. - Robert Bloch, "Notebook Found In a Deserted House." Next up, the Gug: "It was a paw, fully two feet and a half across, and equipped with formidable talons. That mouth had great yellow fangs and ran from the top to the bottom of the head, opening vertically instead of horizontally." -H.P. Lovecraft, The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath This post is getting pretty big... spoilering the rest of the pics. The Deep Ones... I think their predominant colour was a greyish-green, though they had white bellies. They were mostly shiny and slippery, but the ridges of their backs were scaly. Their forms vaguely suggested the anthropoid, while their heads were the heads of fish, with prodigious bulging eyes that never closed. At the sides of their necks were palpitating gills, and their long paws were webbed. - H.P. Lovecraft The Shadows over Innsmouth Well, I gave up on the white bellies. Couldn't get a look I liked... Next the Mi-go who are supposed to be pinkish... at this point, I gave up following the text. And finally the Graveyard Wailer... I couldn't find this one in the Mythos, so free to paint it however I wanted... Free! FREE! Muhahahahaha!

Finally finished the Gravewailers. Bought two ages ago and then the Bones 3 Mythos ex-pack had one. So I waited until I got the third one before painting. Seems I started on them ages ago. But things kept getting in the way to finish. Including my cat who decided they were delicious to nibble and suck on. Rather then doing in pink and reds. Decided I wanted to go for something a little more alien and starspawn like. So tried to make them purple with the look of bluish light showing from within. Trying to get that alien Lovecraftian feel of something beyond explanation. LOL think I need some sleep. Hopefully not about anything Lovecraftian :)

Knocked these out last night. Was a nice quick speed paint so I could get to doing the cultists. Needed something for them to stand around on the shelf. Used Dwarven Gold on the writing and the pics don't show that lovely peachy gold lustre from the paint.

Creating wedding cake toppers offers me a lot of artistic variety. There are a lot of different things that people want to put on their cakes, and it always impresses me that after almost ten years of doing this, I can still be surprised at some of the awesome ideas I get to make into reality. Here is one of those concepts that really got me. This is Cthulhu and his Mermaid bride. I had him put a hand around her waist to help support her, and overall I really think this couple turned out well. I wonder if someone will have me create a topper where bride and groom are both mer-folk sometime.

This started when I found fishmen bodies in the trade-in bin at Reapercon. Thanks to everyone who helped me search for hours for the arms. I completely forgot that they had detached tails as well and ended up sculpting some very poor imitations when I got home. Went through the bits box and gave the two big guys some added weapons, one has a sword, the other a magic staff topped with a chunk of coral. Dug out some Bones from one of the KS to add to the mix. Their names are War, Pestilence, Famine, Death, and Bad Gumbo. I finished painting them in December, but just got the bases done this weekend.

The forces of madness are many and varied. Ranging from the harmless mob to the terrifying star spawn. The thin barrier protecting the world is a small group of people. I will be painting up the miniatures from Mansions of Madness 2nd edition and Recurring Nightmares. Normally I would not start another work in progress while one is still unfinished, but we have been playing the game quite a bit and I have been running the Strange Aeons pathfinder set which is mythos based. So I can use plenty of cultist. These will be painted to table top quality. I also have completed a side project that was holding up my being able to paint. An in progress photo is below. Some of the cultists have already been started and but I have been mainly working on cleaning up the mold lines. I have been asked to work on one of the Chthonian so that is what I will be working on next. Fantasy flight had painted versions of the miniatures, but at least on this one I did not like their paint scheme to much. So I will be working on my own. I will probably work through most of the monsters first before starting the investigators as I have a greater need for them.

So here's a pleasant little chibi elder god that I got painted up a little while ago. I decided to open his eyes a little (elder gods don't always have to sleep, right?)

Another Chibi Mini's Kickstarter, this time for Cthulhu Miniatures. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/674003445/chibi-gaslight-horror-cthulhu-mythos-and-sci-fi-mi Some of them look pretty nice. The monsters are adorable. Very tempting.
