Don't expect /too/ many of these; but.. I have eleven acres to wander, and every so often, I see something worth taking pictures of. I've got a few of those, by now; thought I ought to share some of 'em. .. Andi didn't know what this was. I do. There were many.. wonder if I can get to them before the birds do? I know this is a fern, but I'm not sure which one. Might be Horsetail.. I'm not sure exactly what kind of pine this is, but we told them to branch out a little from the Douglas Firs when they replanted; I think this is one of those young trees. The view.. Say cheese. I also saw a number of birds and bunnies, but they're all too fast for me to get decent photos of. And I haven't seen our wild yard bunny in a while. And that's just what I saw today... I took these yesterday. My yard is full of surprises.. and sweet pea, and random gorramn rosebushes. And.. these. These flowers are so TINY. I have beads bigger than these flowers, and I can't get over how pretty they are. .. not sure, but I think this might be rhubarb. It has the right sort of leaf, anyway. I don't care for rhubarb, so it's safe. Mushies! I don't actually know what kind; they look sorta like morels, but I don't know from mushies, so, other than getting some photos, I left 'em alone. I saw at least two; there could easily have been more.

My girl and me like to hike, stroll, walk... We often follow trails that lead through rural areas, nature, forest or historical sites. I would like to share a few pics, so I can show you what the Netherlands look like aside from the big cities and harbour. Yes...we do have tulips and windmills...but not everywhere. I hope you guys and girls and creatures like it. These were made today, due to Liberation Day I had the day off ( not everyone has a free day but the Military does). An Anthill, A Windmill and Tulips, some nice mushrooms attached to a tree and a statue of BACON.

These are a couple figures I picked up at the factory while at Reapercon this year. I painted them over the last week or so; lots of browns and greys. I couldn't manage to get a decent picture, but their eyes are glowing green, too. I hope you like them.

As you know we went to Corfu ( Greek Island) for our vacation. Let me bore you people with a few pics. First of all, the efforts of MEOW and R.I.B.B.I.T. agents to stealthily follow us were in vain. We saw you! @OneBootand @Froggy the Great Greek Cities/ Architecture/Art and Historical sites, hope you enjoy it. The guy in the black hat you see from behind is the evil Glitterwolf himself! For security reasons only pics from the back. If you ever been to Greece and heard that chirping noise all the time? Cicades, This is one of those critters, Red Dragonfly And of course the main event, THE thing why I go to Greece, Lamb Kebab..my girl had Seabass.. Below that Mezes, a mix of several smaller treats.. ***Drools**

I’ve been in a rut for the last few months not producing or working on anything. Partly too busy over the holidays and partly feeling uninspired. I want to get back into it, so to that end I’m going to do something different and pretty and light-hearted. I present “Fade” from Mirico. She’s a gorgeous bust with very striking details and a lot of room to interpret artistically. I hope you all enjoy the WIP while you follow along and please feel free to offer your comments and critiques!

These gorgeous wolves (Thunderbolt Mountain 8560) are the nicest giant wolf sculpts I have ever seen. They are by the legendary Tom Meier. IMPORTANT: TOM MEIER IS CLOSING HIS THUNDERBOLT MOUNTAIN STORE DEC. 25 OF THIS YEAR, SO IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, GO THERE NOW! They are pretty big. I mounted them on 1.5" fender washers for extra stability. Tom Meier sells optional goblin riders for them. WIP thread with extensive color notes, painting details, and comparison to other wolf figures here.

I had these in an RAFM blister and as I recall their bases said RAFM (I glued them to 1.5-inch fender washers for stability). I haven't been able to identify them. They look like the sorts of giant wolves that are ridden by goblins. I am not sure where they came from. Well, apart from RAFM, obviously. They are pretty big. Here's a size comparison with the RAFM one on the far right: Left to right these are: a wolf from Reaper 02830; a wolf from Reaper 77176; Reaper 03682 Willow Greenivy; a giant wolf from Thunderbolt Mountain 8560; and an RAFM mystery wolf. I painted them as several different types of wolf, one with a snow base and two with grassy bases, for multiple uses. Their bases are 1.5". Extensive WIP with lots of color mixing and technique notes here.

As some of you know I went to France to participate in the Nato Tiger Meet 2017. I can't post all of course, but here is an impression of some airplanes , some badges, and some of the sight seeing. Badges I acquired, including one from last year I missed then. Jets and stuff that was safe to take pics off.

Apologies if this isn't the best place, but Talespinner's monday miniature thread got me thinking about how art is constantly evolving and how sculptors have continued to push the bounds of what is possible with our media. Here's a link to the artist's website: Ellen Jewett (no commerce links, you have to get on a mailing list for sculptures... I checked But she does sell prints of her work. ) This sculptor isn't a miniaturist, but her work is something I'd love to try out on our scale and probably what I'm going to work on for my next project, only with human forms rather than animal ones. For background, she's a Canadian working in porcelain, wire and self hardening clay, and the delicacy she's able to achieve with that is astounding. I love the way she incorporates both animal and plant forms together. just sharing! Carry on!

Hey everyone! This is my first try ever at painting a miniature, and also my very first post. I can't believe the talent some of you guys have, and I'll practice hard to hone my skills and share some more miniatures. This is turning out to be a lot of fun, and I can't wait to paint again! Please give me your opinion, and if you have tips on how to improve, don't be shy. I used basic craft acrylics plus matte and gloss sealers, no airbrush (can't afford it, meh).
