  1. I usually play with all the models I paint and these are no exception. These are my Brewster Buffalo US Navy fighters painted up in the colors and markings of Marine squadron VMF-221. The famous squadron at Midway that rushed into the Japanies forces in the begining of the fight knowing that they had crap aircraft and inferior training. Unfortunatly most of them died but their deeds will live on forever. I painted them up for use in Blood Red Skies. Like the real planes, they are also crap in the game but I just had to jump at the opportunity to do my little tribute to them.
  2. Greetings! I had initially decided to paint Mariel's dresscoat in red & white but I'm glad I changed my mind & went for blue & yellow instead. I don't often paint yellow so I'm pleased how this worked out. Thanks for looking!!

  4. Hey all! Just wondering who out there is a Veteran, What branch of service you are / were in, how long, etc, etc... This way we can find out who we all are, maybe have some fun telling war / sea stories! I was Army, 4 years Active as a 19K, Mi Abrahms crewman. OSUT at Ft Knox, KY. 2 Years in Gelnhaussen Germany, 2 Years at Ft Hood, TX. (Active 1984-1988) 16 Years CT National Guard. Artillery, Combat Engineer, 72Y Battalion Supply (S4). (Began 1988, Retired in 2003.) Was wondering if maybe we could get a sculptor at Reaper to do some sort of Vignette, with one rep of each branch in it, and ask Reaper to donate the profit to something like "Wounded Warrior" or another Vet charity. Maybe if enough of us ask nicely, they might think about it! Maybe they could do some sort of annual edition like / with Sophie as well? How many of you would like to see Sophie 'dressed' in your branch's uniform? I know I'd paint mine up! Might be something totally different to paint.... Chime in and let BS! 8) George EDIT: we are at 2 pages in a few hours! Glad to see the response! You folks ever notice that we speak our own language? Branch doesn't matter except for the tech terms either.... Who was sent out to get the attitude adjustment wrench? EDIT 2 All you non US Vets chime in too! Even though you aren't American, you are still one of US!
  5. I painted Reaper 03613 Angelica Fairweather. In my Lost World Project she is Rosetta Salazar, WIP here : http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-xherman1964-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/
  6. Hi every one, I play this game called Heroscape, its been discontinued since 2005 but there is still a decent following over at heroscapers.com A while back we started talking about and started a few threads on conversions and terrain that could be used. The only differences is that Heroscape is played on hexes and most of the figures are around 28mm tall. When converting it is really easy to just skip the hex part of the tutorial and apply this for any miniature game. With a bunch of pirate figures in the reaper line plus the pathfinder pirate and water themed figures, I thought it would be a good idea to share this over here. I have converted several ships and misc. terrain, I will start copying some of my guides and tutorials here and modify it so it makes sense for non Heroscape use. So any suggestions or comments are always welcomed. Now lets go drown some minis! First, a mini project. These boards are dedicated to a hobby that's all about massive retrofitting and repainting, but most people in other board games like very simple easy projects. for this purpose I did the following two tutorials that where supposed to be simple and done in under half an hour or so.
