  1. What I really love about this model is its modularity--inside and out, top and bottom, there's detail for a splendid backdrop almost everywhere. I've used the base as a stone floor in other vignettes, but finally got around to punching up the ritual circle and the interior detail. Fun with gradients! First, the circle itself! So versatile! Seen here with some Nolzur's scenery and Reaper cultists. Next, the outside: But what lies inside? (I love the spooky interior, by the way--reminds me of the sculpted paneling in the 1999 movie The Haunting.) Could it be used for licit magic? Brother Louis and Brother Roberto are certainly willing to give it the old invisible-college try!
  2. So I'm finally getting to the terrain for my graveyard set. I've washed the crypt and the fences. I got an extra set of fences, and I think I'm missing 1 short fence, because I have 5 of those, and everything else is even in number (doubled). Can anyone else who got both during Bones 3 confirm if they had 5 or 6? Here's stuff having a soak. Somewhere I have my Bones 4 toppers, but I'm not going to worry about that right now. I'm debating putting stuff on large tongue depressors and making stuff modular... though that would leave some gaps if I make a fence around something specific, as opposed to a representative "fence." Anybody try it and abandon?
  3. I’m not usually big on terrain painting, but I thought this would be a good cap off for my month of spoooooky minis..
  4. Back over the July 4th holiday, I started working on my Graveyard set. Cleaned the moldlines, glued the fence posts to the fences, and got ready to spray paint them. Then, my black spray paint broke. The nozzle just snapped right off. So I used white. And, because the day was too humid, it got powdery. Not a great start to the project, but I pushed on. Some black wash, and lots of grey, I made progress.
  5. I may have finished Orctober early this year, but that leaves plenty of time for other Halloween themed minis this year! All spookiness comes from the Bones 3 Kickstarter...actually, I think it's all from the same Crypt Expansion, except for one of the spirits. The full haunting: The Obsidian Crypt: The Graveyard Golem: The Spirits from Beyond: The true evil of the group, the Pumpkin Minions:
  6. Howdy, Finally got the door done. Thanks for looking, Kev! P.s. the roof is a base coat of reaper jade, streaked with bronze then brass until the jade is heavily obscured
