Sometimes when I imagine the mechanics of monster summoning, it's kind of like Uber or Lyft. You select a particular summoning option, and someone picks up the call without really knowing what the mission will be. Anyway, we needed an angel. Our prayers were answered, but apparently this one was on the way to the Celestial Daycare, or maybe had just completed another summoning gig involving orphans when she showed up for this gig. I can imagine any number of ways this could have gone. But in any case, this one arrived with a baby, and without a nose. She fight off our enemies with only one hand and without any olfactory senses. It was truly impressive!

The demonic court is a troublesome place. A courtesan has to keep her blades at the ready...

Sing the song! "I'll be there for you...!" :-) So, after the completion of their awesome campaign, Rachel, Monica, and Phoebe were booked on a gig that was simultaneously more serious and less comfortable. These three took forever to paint-- I experimented with implied lighting from the magma, but am less than pleased with the results because they don't look like the lava is lighting them at all. Instead, the shadows I attempted to paint on the facing-away sides just seem to look muddy. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Mini appears to be this guy. I was going for a kind of unearthly celestial glow with him, though it came out really strangely in the hair. Still, fun to paint :-) Update: I didn't like how his base looked. Although it was transparent, it didn't give the illusion of floating, so I added some "clouds", which is closer to what I wanted, but still doesn't quite give the flying illusion. :-/ If anyone has any suggestions on how I can make him look more like he's flying, I'm all ears :-) Thanks!

Got this guy painted up last night. Gonna be tossing out one or two of these guys in my game Friday night. Slowly but surely I'll be using mostly Reaper minis for D&D rather than the prepainted WotC stuff.
