  1. So I found these guys at the last NEMPA paint day a I attended a few years back, and decided to paint them up... I have many other orcs from this line, but not these guys... I even have the Polly S Armor Dark Green paint I used on the others back in High School! (I,m class of 1981) and a close up So all you Partha lovers chime in with comments and critiques! The Drow
  2. Since You guys like old school stuff, here are some more Citadel figures that I painted with Polly S paints between 1988 and 1992... Rychter Wolfhelm was my first Cleric, and really the first non multi classed cleric in any campaign I participated in in over 10 years of playing AD&D! He was a 2nd Ed Specialty Priest of Tempus, and if you were hurt in the battle, you had better survive till the end, because Rychter did not cast spells in combat, he was a Priest of Tempus, and he led the charge! In one game, one of the other characters called Rychter a coward.... That did not sit to well, and when said character failed to retract his statement, Rychter dropped his 2 handed hammer, and proceded to use the lying character as his weapon for the next battle! They never did get along after that.... My group still talks about that night, and it happened over 10 years ago... He resides in the case of favorite minis now... Some fighters. These guys looked silly I thought on the small bases they came with, and I had extra Cav bases.... Next some Elves.... George
  3. So here are the mighty Goblins, painted more than 25 years after their brethren.... Just goes to show that even and old fool can learn a thing or two.... Before: After: Before: After: Before: After: Before: After: Before: After: So there you have them! Tried a little bit of shading on the metals of the weapons, using Decay Black where zenithal light would be absent, don't know how much it helps... And for minis that have been used in countless AD&D games since they were painted, the old ones still don't look too bad.... Comments welcome! WiP here Thanks for looking! George
  4. I interrupt my other works in progress to bring you this special Project. But George, those guys are already done, you are thinking.... And you would be right! I painted these guys when I was in college, back in the early 90s, using the Polly S & Ral Partha AD&D Paint Lines... And seem to have missed the fact that the guy with the 2 handed mace is wearing some sort of skull cap! But now, I have 5 more! Thanks to another forumite that was going to use them as weight for the melt tables at R Con, he was kind enough to let me save them from the abyss... So it will be fun to see what this group will look like, with all of the things I have learned from my fellow forumites in the last 9 months, and using Good brushes, a wet palette, Scale 75 paints, Reaper and Vallejo, and yes, Polly S AD&D 460 Goblin Flesh! Come back and see when I get more than primer on them! (They are also Goblin Flesh practice for the Infamy Goblin Chieftain on the Death Chicken....) George
