I was told that my early Orctober project did not count, as I had finished it last month. So, I decided on the last minute addition of some Ork-derived Poxwalkers to go with my current Nurgle Chaos Space Marine project: Parts are from the Warhammer Orks and Orc lines, the Nurgle Plaguekings, and the old Mutation sprue. Mostly.

Started quite some time ago, before the more copyright-friendly Poxwalkers were introduced; here come the Plague Zombies! It's okay that they're different, Grandfather Nurgle loves us all. Plus, Zombies seem more appropriate for Halloween.

Praise be to Nurgle! Another Orctober complete, and we're all safe and sound, painting projects finished. Time for a short rest... "Hey, you lot hear that?" "They're coming to get you, Orkra..." "Join us, Orkra...Grandfather loves you, too..." Orks can be Poxwalkers, too, ya know! Even Gork (and maybe Mork) can't help ya now. Flyboy: The Catcher: The Spiker! Grimace! Smiley! Orks+Zombies in O(r)ctober...doubly appropriate for the season!

After some time, I finally wrapped up my two sets of Death Guard from the new Warhammer 40,000 starter set, "Dark Imperium". The entire second set is converted, I'm not a fan of clones in my armies. The rotting masses: The Lord of Contagion, no real work done to him other than the paint: Rotbringer Goth'ma, my count-as Typhus, built from the Lord of Contagion: The Malignant Plaguecaster, another standard build: And an Icon Bearer, converted from the Plaguecaster: The Putrid Blightbringer: A Sorcerer conversion from the Blightbringer. He could also count as Necrosius: The Plague Champion: He's the only non-Poxwalker who I didn't convert for the second copy. I set him aside, as there's another Plague Champion coming in the First Strike starter set. Maybe he'll be useful for one of the new entries when the Death Guard codex comes out.
