Hey guys! I thought you might like to know that Dragon's Forge Miniatures is going to be running a dwarf themed Kickstarter in the new year, with loads of modular dwarf town terrain, an army of dwarf warriors and some fun townsfolk characters - all available to download as STLs for 3D printing, and with resin casts of the terrain available for those without access to a printer. Anno Domini 1666 was a Kickstarter for a swashbuckling board game with some magic and supernatural elements. Players run a "gang" of characters based on literary heroes... like the 3 musketeers. You have objectives and can use skills and combat to acheive objectives. The game takes place in a fantasy Vienna. I was satisfied with all the minis I got in the first Kickstarter, though due to certain world events never have gotten a game played ...yet. so they will be kickstarting an expansion. Just got a preview of one of the exclusive characters. On a side note, I had no idea that Alexander Dumas was biracial. His father was a noble and his mother a native. Being of similar racial stock, I find that interesting. “And here is a miniature of Alexandre Dumas (3D render to be more precise). Alexandre Dumas will be our Kickstarter and convention only miniature. Well, we hope there will be any conventions we can visit in the future... He will be also narrator of our campaign and you will be informed about some events from his perspective (or rather from the perspective he wants to impose on you - be careful!). Dumas is not an amazing fencer. If necessary, he can draw a sword or shoot a pistol, but he believes that a feather is more powerful than a sword. Charisma (quite high), Intelligence and Connections help him with his reporter's tasks but his most powerful weapon is his modest notebook. It may happen that the story told by Dumas looks completely different than in reality and the heroic deeds will be forgotten or even presented in a completely negative way. In the game's mechanic, this means that once during game you will be able to prevent your opponent of getting point(s) for killing your character. Obviously only if Dumas manages to survive to the end of the game and will describe the situation in the way he would like it to be presented to a wide audience...”

Fireforge games will be launching their dwarf faction for their Forgotten World range. I really enjoyed their northmen line which were basically game of thrones not Stark warriors. They had undead in that same Kickstarter. so these will be heroic 28mm hard plastic multipart figures. This is what’s been shown so far. There will also be foot troops with spears and hand weapons. And both male and female will be on sprue. they haven’t confirmed yet, but if it follows with their other Kickstarter, there should be resin shields and resin heroes available too.

In November, I am launching a Kickstarter project for a new tabletop RPG product. The Gaming Stage is an alternative to the dedicated board game tables that have become so popular, but can be so hard to justify. These are units that can be pulled out to play and put away when done, or displayed proudly with the wall hanging kit. There are three standard versions. The first is the most portable, with a dry-erase printed playing surface. The second two have hinged lids to allow hand drawn maps to be inserted under an acrylic playing surface. All three have highly distressed wood, and forged steel hardware for an impressive fantasy-themed appearance. Multiple add-ons will be available to increase the versatility. Click on the Notify Me in the KS preview page for a KS discount. The $185 / $205 six-set (two of each of the 3 map sets, with and without vinyl stickers) is the best price. Dungeon set, Frozen Waste set, and miscellaneous. I guess the ideal backer would be someone who has no 2D maps or 3D game tiles, plays RPG and Frostgrave, and has $200 to burn on maps. Each dry-erase map set is 20 17"x22" maps, double-sided and removable. Removable means portable. Yes you're gonna need a bigger table. I already have his original Book of Battle Mats, as well as Loke Battle Mat books and 3D dungeon tiles, so I'll pass on this one. Got a email regarding these. KS will launch sometime next month but these are the same people that did the Animal Companions stl KS. Since currently the way our FLGS has the game play area, I really don't need minis for the players as I have to move em on the map + the players need visible tokens as well use a webcam & projector for people that aren't sitting near the map (social distancing rules apply). Last year I picked up a bunch of dry erase 1 inch tokens & I'll just put the player's first initial on them in different colors. It's not the ideal way, but it works. These would at least give the players a sense of "hey I have a character". I'll probably back this one. Hoping thou it's a stl campaign, cause well I have printers & can do it.
