So, after my initial pledge, I spent much of the past month following KS Reaper Bones V. While watching the marker grow painfully slow in the second week, while anxiously wondering if the last dragon would be unlocked, I was painting some minis in front of my PC. Here the first one: Bonehenge Priestess. I tried an unconventional scheme, which I hope worked.

Howdy, Blessings upon you all this day... Kev!

Hello everyone! This mini is meant to be a major NPC in the DnD campaign I’m DMing. She’s one of the PC’s wife and was turned by the big bad guy.

I'm covering this in my Lost World Project also. However since this is basically a Terrain Piece/Diorama thingie, I decided to make a separate WIP as well. So those who are only interested in terrain and such will also see it. It all started when @knarthex his daughter Alsnia posted a pic of her Pet Snake. Then @Pezler the Polychromatic made up a background story See my WIP page 65 http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-xherman1964-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=65 @malefactushas always inspired me with his great terrain and he also encouraged me... And I have also read the great threads of @Chris Palmer who made fantastic jungle statues. So I knew I had to do this. I bought a Toy Anaconda and a Toy Python. The Anaconda will become Tanith. The Serpent Goddess will be repainted in albino colours like Alsnia's pet, but it will also be part stone. She is in stasis in a statue and now Alsnia the Priestess ( Bones Sarah the Seer) has been chanting and summoning until Tanith sheds her stone skin and breaks out of the statue. The Python will be a gold or bronze statuette on the back of the wall. I'm planning to put torches and sacrifices/gifts on the altar. There will be two pipes coming from the backwall and snakes will pour from those and will be crawling all over the altar. Here is what I've done so far. Then I needed to carve out the shape of the Python to embedd it into the back wall later. Too much gap will be filled with putty. There will also be much stuff likes vines and leaves all over it. So this may take a while.

I'm creating a world in my LOST WORLD PROJECT. When doing this I made a project within a project. WIP's here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/73979-taniths-awakening-by-xherman1964/ http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-xherman1964-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/ Since she would not be visible enough in the diorama alone, I made a separate thread for her. This is ALSNIA @knarthex's daughter. It all started out when the real Alsnia showed a pic of a albino snake with flowers on it's head. Things rapidly spun out of control and the project was born and merged with my own project. For the Show Off of TANITH'S AWAKENING look at this: Here is Alsnia Solo. I used Bones Sarah the Seeress 77210 for this.

From Dark Fable miniatures, a pair of cultists. He looks like he's just noticed Cthulhu, and she has a smirk that says "I told you so".

So, I had a great idea that a tiefling priestess would be a gloriously interesting character for an adventuring party to encounter in a town. Half the villagers are suspicious of her, the other half are convinced she is the chosen favorite of the god/goddess as she's doing miraculous deeds. Something like that. To that end, I decided I had to sculpt such a figure. I got slightly off on the scale as she's a touch short (more like a teen in stature compared with adult minis of 28mm scale). I fleshed out the figure with a holy symbol and sacred text as those seemed suitably priestess-like. No weapons as she wasn't intended as an adventurer. Hope you enjoy her. Comments, compliments, and constructive criticism are always welcome :=)

Mini number 8 completed This is Semira Marise, the last of my Hasslefree minis, made by Kev White, though I'll try and get some different photos of her, as these have come out a tad strange. Paints used... Citadel -White Scar -Kislev Flesh -Khorne Red -Nuln Oil -Seraphim Sepia -Druchii Violet -Blood for the Blood God -Leadbelcher -Runelord Brass -Auric Armour -Caledor Sky? -Mechanicus Standard Grey P3 -Cold Steel -Bloodtracker Brown -Thamar Black -Umbral Umber -Menoth White Highlight I decided to paint her as the dignified priestess, who had perhaps summoned my two succubi, or something =] so she's all wise and stuff. Sadly, you can't see her eyes in these shots, which is all the more annoying as I was rather pleased with them, haha. Lotsa Blood for the Blood God, because one doesn't simply summon demons without getting one's hands dirty, and her lovely white robe... Well, it was once a white robe. I painted her pristine in white scar, then put lots of dirt on with nuln oil and seraphim sepia, and then bloodied her up some. Now I'm all outta unpainted minis, bar finishing off Ebonwrath, until my next order arrives :O but hopefully, that'll bring me my lovely Nethyrmaul and a few other bits and bats too.

Clearing my 'Shelf of Shame' of some half-finished stuff:- Stonehavens Priestess and Brawler Gnomes. Nothing special with these two, apart from the Priestess being a partially successful attempt at doing blonde hair that was different from my usual 'dirty blonde', but I think I did a decent job on them. Comments and criticisms are, as always, most appreciated.

I decided to enter Rhasia in the Rainbow Brush online contest http://www.destroyer...-rainbow-brush/ Until I saw my pictures I was very happy with her . Though I do think its my best NMM to date. Only posting her backside here, since she isn't wearing much as far as clothing goes.... https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_ZgOi70hDxnZXM5Q3pBSTB0Tjg/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_ZgOi70hDxnSE5fQ1FGRndEY1E/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_ZgOi70hDxnRXM0akM0NFJwR2c/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_ZgOi70hDxnaUJkcXNjanptRG8/view?usp=sharing

After a long break from painting minis, I got back to the workbench early this month. I've completed 3, just to shake the rust off my already weak skills. Encouraged by making some progress and starting to enjoy painting again, I started work on Carinth, a Reaper Dark Elf sitting incomplete for a couple of years. She was originally intended for a contest entry, but now I'd just like to figure out the lighting challenges, experiment with this two-model method, learn some new things and generally improve. The 'two model method' is an idea that has been around for a while, but given the cost of most minis these days, is understandably not a popular technique. With a comparatively cheap, older model, I can give it a shot. The idea is to use one for practice, to work out the problems and make mistakes. The other is for a better attempt, working at perfekt. :-) The design/story: Drow priestess in a deep cavern, protected by magic glowing staff, dips her magic sword in lava to imbue it with greater power. Challenges: I've not done a lava base before now, and it seems there are now 4 light sources at work on this mini. Ambient/overhead is somewhat weak, but present; lava flowing in several spots in the base will give some under-lighting; the top of her staff will be glowing blue/white; the sword has a blob of lava dripping from it. First up is the "better" version we'll call Carinth-A. Next is Carinth-B, the draft version where I got rather ahead of myself in playing around with lighting effects: Comments, critiquesm questions and suggestions are all welcome, here. I want to improve, so chime in, please!
