  1. On a recent trip to the former dollar store in my area I came across something that really gave me ideas. With just a quick glance I knew this would make a great base for a lot of builds and the $1.25 price point was just right. This Final Faction line really is the gift that just keeps giving. Assembly revealed just how big it is, it is intended for action figures after all, but this wasn't a deal breaker. It did however give me second thoughts on building a Gunwagon though as this would make for a very easy Trukk conversion, next time perhaps. Grabbing some random junk from my collection I started immediately. After just one build session I ended up with this. A pretty respectable start with minimal time investment. Session two really brought it all together. Not too bad for such a small investment (both in terms of time and money). With just a few more details and a some magnets it'll be ready for primer.
  2. I need some advice from the Bones repositioners/modifiers out there. I currently have Cadirith (with another on the way) that I am planning on modifying in to an Arachnarok Spider for Age of Sigmar. I've already figured out how to make and attach the Howdah to carry the goblins. The question I have is the best way to reposition the legs. They come in 4 sets of two and and are basically either parallel to each other or overlapping. What would be the best way to get some separation between the legs? Boil and reposition? Cut and angle and glue? My concern with the boiling would be bending the tabs out of position so they wouldn't seat flush anymore. And for cutting, where? At the joint where the join the body or at one of the joints on the legs? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has trouble understanding my rambling train of thought, I can take some pictures if needed.
  3. These will be Spyrers in my Necromunda campaigns. :)
  4. When I received my Bones Pledge I wouldn't ever tell that Kobolds would be my first choice for painting. The fact is I'm proxying the Descent 1st Edition miniatures into 2nd Edition and the number, size and aspect of these Kobolds were perfect. The original Descent Kobolds are funny and I like the idea of more than one per base, but I really have another vision about Kobolds. They are the sons of a lesser God. They have dragon blood, but no power. So they are inventive and organized. And they are legion. I couldn't find an unpainted image of the original so here it goes a painted one. They are perfect. In number, size and pose. I love their serious look and tiny powerful pose. They can return to the game in large numbers so I've painted 3 extra minions. The red bases are for the 3 master kobolds. I chose one of each.
