I need to take a moment to say how much I've appreciated everyone's input on these posts. Each time I do them, there's a level of excitement to show how I'm still trying to improve and push myself. The input I get each time is incredibly helpful and rewarding. Not once had anyone negatively said something, and if anything it's great constructive feedback I can use later. I just want you all to know the encouragement here is fantastic and makes sharing the work so fun. Here's the 2nd rabbit from this collection.

This was a fun one I picked up after watching a YouTube video by Ninjon. Model was a cool test of colors. I also got to use my first Reaper bases.

I just finished her for RCL. She was great example of a modern bones figure - crisp details, very little cleanup needed. Having larger eyes to work with was a nice change of pace! I was trying for a dark bunny look. I can’t remember the breed, but it was a UK variant, and I have the inspirational picture. Trying to overlay paint stripes at the color bounds seemed to give the impression of fur, but it was really tough to keep consistent!

Had to put the other rabbit on hold to try an get this squad done as a Christmas present for one of my Nieces. Over the last few years I've painted a number of oddball rabbits for her. This will certainly be my most ambitious project! Limbo Division typically does Kingdom Death style cheesecake, but for some reason they put this set out earlier this year. Missed getting it from them but I follow the artist on Instagram and he pointed me to a store in Japan that still had some and I was able to get a set - yay! Have to say these are impressively clean casts! No mold seams or pour stubs to clean up and I've only had use a tiny mount of putty on one pieces. My sister-in-law sent me pictures of my Nieces bunnies so I'll eventually be trying to replicate them in miniature form on these. Anyway, spent a couple of days getting the base done, and now I'm working on the BIG bunny. Got the camo on and spent a big chunk of time stippling the straps to try an imply some texture. Might go back and glaze over with the base color to try and blend it all together. Got a couple of weeks to go, so hopefully I can get everything finished!

Got another bunny done for the weekend. Feeling pretty good on getting some animals done. BATTLE REPORT! Wins: * Using another photo for inspiration, I was interested in that this bunny photo had a slight 'blueish' tone to the color in the grey. I was interested in trying to match it. Used Denim Blue, Grey, and black to get it. Came out pretty good! * The white was also one that I needed to be able to highlight up and I didn't want to use another grey. I ended up going with the Ghost White, which had a light blue to it, and I thought went with the grey color I mixed, too. * The colors blended well and I was able to use the same technique I used on the other butterscotch bunny of doing a feathering of lighter color to bring the hair detail forward. * Used a nuln oil diluted for the recesses and around the tail. Worked good enough. Wouldn't have minded a little more contrast, but still cute. Misses: * I didn't highlight up the fleshy colors on the nose. I somewhat feel it needs more of a "pop" and think it was a miss that I didn't. * The white is still on the weaker end and coudl have gone a little darker so I could bring the white hair forward more. Using the zenithal highlight helped, but still wanted more. These were both super fast and only a handful of colors needed, so both bunnies were solid. Open to any feedback ya got. Now I gotta base them with something cute and fun...

These are from the Bunny Girls Kickstarter project from a couple of years ago, run by Dark Fable miniatures. They are on 7/8" washers, so would qualify as giant bunnies for most 28mm characters. Here they are, joined by a trio of flying Peegs, from a recent Bad Squiddo campaign: And here's the lot of them, at different angles. Put a little wild life into your games :)

Stole my brother's mini from out of his house the last time I was there and painted it for him. Built a much more deserving base for this fierce Zombicide boss with a vicious streak a mile wide.

Speed painted to send off to a Niece who really like rabbits. Hopefully she likes these! Doom Bunny from Bombshell Miniatures: and a Vorpal Bunny. I've had these guys for a very long time. Made of resin. Came in a bag with about a dozen or more in it. Long forgotten who manufactured them: Sorry for the pics! Finished the wash on the Doom Bunnies Axe and then snapped a few quick pics before packing them up to go in the mail.

I painted these not long before moving to Austin. Originally they came with thin metal rods and seperate spearheads some of which had gotten lost over the years. (I'd found them on sale at the FLGS in Plainfield IL around 1999.) So I added some bits from various Reaper weapon packs and some GW sprues I had handy. Ok, my photo-fu isn't on point today it seems. Other than maybe touching up the bases, I'm going to leave them be. Now to find a somewhat scale Mr. McGregor for them to terrorize.

While rooting through various shelves I found this not far from the Thumpers. Around the same time I'd painted them I had found an old diecast car that had seen better days packed away in my boxes of model kit stuff. So I decided to "Mad Max" it a bit. Some testors CokaCola Red with layers of black and brown wash dirtied it up nicely. The rabbit originally came from a craft store many moons ago and had lost an eye along the way. So he got a felt eyepatch and a hair tie belt. The wood box and machine gun were made from balsa wood, the drum was a bit from GorkaMorka and the far tiny barrel was from a Lionel train set. He certainly looks happy. I dremeled off one of the side skirts to make room for a different wheel. The gas can is also from GorkaMorka and the stowage area is held in by a bit of necklace chain. The bullbars were made with some random wire I'd found in the garage.

A long time client of mine recently requested a set of 4 bunnies. Each is to be about 10mm at the shoulder. He sent me 4 pose photos and I created armatures. Here they are, each with it's respective photo: Today, I underpinned the sculpts, fleshing out the bodies: Have a great day, Andy

Thumper the ranger. His family was eaten by the same Ogres that slayed the Tortoise Cleric's Brother. So he joins him.

When I fill out my questionnaire for the exchanges, I like to give lots of options for people to choice from. For example, I mention that I have CAV:SO figures (and hope to play someday....). One of the other things I mention is that I collect rabbit minis (it all goes back to the Doom Bunny...). I never really thought anyone would ever combine those two.... What an awesome and creative piece Kangaroorex came up with! I love it!! (Although I may never look at a Starhawk VI the same way....) I don't know where he found the little car but it is perfect.

the rabbit paladin from the first of Oathsworn's critter line. I love this rabbit. he has had a long day. He's tired, He's annoyed, and the next person who calls him a bunny is going to discover the meaning of "holy terror" this one was fun to paint and I do love the expressiveness of these minis. hope you enjoy!

Just because I need to start another WIP, I decided with the new Burrows and Badgers KS on the horizon I thought I should give my critter's some paint love. So I decided to paint up a Hare (or Rabbit) from the two critter KS I backed. I decided to also use hair color for the hares with Jessica Rich's DVD. I started both with a 1:1 mix of RMS Harvest Brown : RHD Golden Brown as the base coat. I like both of the sculpts and have really wanted to paint them both. Progress might be slow at first since I'm also working on my exchange mini at the same time. Here is the Darksword Hare Mage: Here is the Oathsworn Hare Warrior: Now a look at the 2 side by side:

Here is my first I painted from the Oathsworn Miniatures Burrows & Badgers Kickstarter. The Hare Warrior. While he is intended to be a gaming piece, I'll probable never get to field him (save in a solo battle). So I ultimately stopped fiddling with blending on the NMM. The rules recommend a 40mm base so that is what I went with. Here is how the Hare finally turned out: Thanks for looking and any C&C you feel inspired to post.

I'd ordered some of the Burrows and Badgers minis from the first Kickstarter and have another group coming from their second Kickstarter, so it seemed about time to actually get some paint on these guys! The final shot with the whole warband together includes the rabbit rogue I sculpted. I had taken an individual photo of her, but the photo didn't turn out as well and since it involved me sculpting, I guess I'll post it in my sculpting journal at some point. Anyway, hope you enjoy them and C&C are always welcome!

This is my Alice vs. Wonderland diorama I entered in my local con. It took third in diorama/vignette. I don't have a big enough photo setup for the whole thing so please excuse the pics. I was trying a reimagining of the classic tale with Alice and some Wonderland characters as badasses. Alice is 14311: Kassandra of the Blade. The Cheshire Cat is 02480: Sabertooth Tiger and the White Rabbit is a Darksword Rabbit Warrior. I sculpted the rabbit's watch and the paintbrush. The wickets are staples and the croquet balls are pin heads. The cards were downloaded, then printed, cut out and glued together. I wanted each to die in a unique way, appropriate to the characters. The base was made and stained in my school's woodshop. (I teach) I loved building this! My first big diorama. Your comments and critiques are welcome as always.

I'm going to ask this here and in the conversion forum... I'm wanting to do a conversion with the end result being a Gamma World Hoop. I like the head of the rabbit on the Alice and White Rabbit mini in the chronoscope line. But not knowing how big Alice is, I can't judge well how big the white rabbit's head is... Can anyone tell me the size of either Alice or the rabbit? Thanks! Keith
