  1. Reaper Bones Grave King from Bones V so no SKU yet, Part of my Children of the Night Project: WIP HERE: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-night-by-glitterwolf/page/28/#comments ************************ Kings, Princes, Lords, Jarls, Death doesn't care who you are how noble your bloodline is or over what realm you rule. You will be taken by Death, And when you're really unfortunate, a necromancer will summon you to fight for him. Once of noble blood, now nothing more than an automaton with a faint memory of what once was. ************************
  2. Reaper Bones - Skeletal Champion SKU: 77285 Part of my Children of the Night Project: WIP: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-night-by-glitterwolf/page/28/#comments ******************************* Undead warriors are hard to defeat, any Paladin or Witchhunter knows so. An Undead Champion is even more difficult to kill. Usually these were formidable warriors when they were alive, buried in their finest armor and with their best weapons they are prized finds for any necromancer. ******************************
  3. I don't ussually paint regular bones, don't mind bones black but regular bones...ugh, they were a gift and hated to see them just sit there.
  4. this along with my gnoll was my attempt to paint something different for a change as mostly been doing PCs, couldn't stop myself for adding the pic of the wizard at the end thought they would go good together.
  5. Wanted to see if it was worth while or would be to get more of the bones gnoll's as i only had the one, maybe for a raiding party.

  11. I wish I would of got him in metal, but he was free and didn't want to see him go to waste.
  12. Hi! I was just wondering if there were any reaper dragon minis close in size to the young green wizkids dragon? or any other dragons of any types that's not wizkids that's similar in size? I'm wanting to run an encounter with two dragons of the same size and would prefer not to double up on minis, and would love to expand my dragon collection to other companies than wizkids.
  13. The flickering glow of the torchlight illuminates the dusty, hieroglyphic-covered walls of the forgotten tomb. Moonglow clings to his hat as he carefully scans for signs of the hidden entrance. A small indentation betrays the location of a door in the stone wall. Carefully, the adventurer pushes his way through. The room is barren and dark, except for a single pillar of light shining down upon a small pedestal. On top sits a small box. Moonglow carefully crosses the chamber and approaches the box. He lifts the lid and peers inside. "Ah, there's my old minis!" Who's Your Mummy? Today I felt like sharing some more of my older work that hasn't been posted on the forums yet. This time it's the Bones mummies that are getting the spotlight. These mummies were one of my first large painting projects. It seemed impressive at the time to be working on 8 things simultaneously. They're a bit dusty from all the drybrushing, but I think they look the part, and I'm a fan of the red-gold color scheme I settled on. More Photos beneath the spoiler: These were a fun little set and were perfect adversaries when my players visited the City of Time and sought to stop a Lich's return to power. After failing once an resetting the clock, they had to fight their way through a mummy-filled temple complete with crawling claws and sand-filling rooms to stop the Mummy Lord from returning to his former Lich status. What's your favorite mummy encounter?
  14. Just a quick picture. They're not special but I am trying to get my paint count up this year so just before reapercon I chose 20 miniatures I had no special attachment to and went about getting them painted. Most of them are destined to appear in my Christmas village as townsfolk The rocky was a bonus from Mocha's paint a rocky class. I thought he came out great! Not part of the 20 but because I haven't shown them yet, the swine mafia needed to have a word with the vegetable hauler. Apparently he hadn't hired pigs to load his cart...
  15. I just cannot get this mini to come out the way I want. This is my second attempt, and I got just a stuck as the first time. I finally decided to just finish it and call it done. Reaper Bones Spirit of the Forest (SKU 77184)
  16. A small group of Goblins to use as opponents in Sellsword & Spellslingers or any other game. (clic on the picture to see more on my blog)
  17. This is the Reaper Bones Dire Bear (SKU 77494). This was another test of contrast paint, this time over a base of skin color. I think it turned out pretty good, and it was fast, which is always a plus when trying to conquer the mini mountain.
  18. Working on the Stone Giant. I'm looking for any constructive criticism but especially of the highlighting on the flesh. Not sure if I am finished or if it needs more highlights on the flesh. Everything else just is base colors and has not been worked on other than that. He came missing the the left hand and club.
  19. https://youtu.be/vW1sXkTCfiQ I'm back, btw better video going on now. Photos from left to right, bare bones, base paint, adding to the base paint, almost done. Not pictured is the final result. I just haven't got around to taking a photo of it but it is in the video. I covered all of the paints i used which were all reaper colors, what i did, and why. Fun fact on image 5394 I ran an experiment to see what would work better. Doing naga green with pale lichen first, or waiting until after i did a black wash. As far as I can tell i think doing both layers then washing works better but i cant pick it out of the line up so I guess it really doesn't matter? Anyway I haven't posted in a while so wanted to get back in here say hi and see what everyone else has been up to. The running joke for those of you who has scrolled this far. These are the knights of the banana. Since their swords are curved. I know that fixing the swords was possible but I felt being undead also the water in the river is turning over here making it very unpleasant to drink or use, i didn't want to dunk my mini's in it.
  20. Maybe should've made this my first post, but I thought I'd deleted the pics. Anyway, midsummer this year I came back to the hobby after a 15 year absence. I picked the silver dragon as my first thing to paint to evaluate how much my skills had deteriorated, and to my surprise, not as much as I'd thought! Thanks to Reaper for keeping it fun and affordable.
  21. I had a great time at the Kickstarter Countdown Party on Nov. 2. While I was there I took advantage of the paint-n-take tables to paint up this little figure. I appreciated all the positive feedback I got at the party. Thanks Reaper for a fun time! This figure is one of two in part number 77270: Spikeshell Warriors
  22. For this miniature I wanted a not pure black and red miniature. It's sort of my go to and wanted to change it up a little. From start to finish I have included images. I did take more images than these but I wanted to not have a mile long post. Besides ill have a video up soon for this. Why blue? Because I thought the blue would greatly contrast against my usual colors of black and red. It also posed a challenge on how to do it AND make it look good when finished. The last photo doesn't do it justice to be fair.
  23. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSRmrapt8f8&feature=youtu.be Hey guys, me again. This time I am back with a anti paladin I did after a few weeks off to pursue some other things I needed to get done. I really like how the colors turned out on this one. I was intending for a black suit of armor, but I ended up giving him a sort of Dracula red armor by accident. Only thing I feel i could of done different or improved on was to use less red and more of another color. However I don't have a clue what that other color would of been to be honest. The photos show the progression, black armor, painted with red. I wanted to give the appearance of black armor caked in the blood of his enemys, while making the cape clearly blood stained on the front where it made sense to be but not on the back. The shield I was aiming for the look of it and the sword being made out of bone but also caked in the well you know I don't need to keep saying it. I feel like the base of the mini could of done with a better paint job but again I wasn't sure the color to use so I went with green grass since I feel like that would make the most sense.
  24. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzWwEryYc3Q So one of my campaign encounters calls for a skeleton playing a violin. I had a few ideas on how I could go about accomplishing this. Modifying a skeleton miniature to hold a violin. Then I found this mini. I really wish they had a version that wasn't metal for this miniature though. The mini in question is supposed to be the boss of an encounter the players run into which leads into bigger plots later. In short though its supposed to be dripping a black ichor from the eyes to make it scarier and to emphasis the point "this is a powerful enemy" and not just some random skeleton bard. The actual painting went along the lines of White base coat, followed by coloring the violin and leather straps brown, the metal armor black, i did a wash of brown followed by a black to give contrasting colors of dirt and mold. I also added a small amount of a lighter blue as a wash to the violin and bow to make it contrast ever so slightly from the rest of the mini and to hopefully give it a sort of magical look. That last part didn't succeed like I had hoped but it was a good lesson in what does and what does not work. I know the base needs something else to make it pop. This mini isn't "finished" yet for that very reason but im not sure how i want to finish the base of the mini. Probably some dirt. because dirt is always a good choice for a graveyard. I really should change my name to the "painting horror minis channel" because its an unintentional theme.
  25. I decided to paint my kobolds I've been holding onto. I did the paint on them in about 4 hours which is pretty good for 6 miniatures I think! Also am I allowed to link to a video I made where I painted them? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfPTEszqwXg
