  1. The last of three elves I had primed to paint for Feb.
  2. The last of three vampires I had primed to paint for Feb.
  3. The second of three vampires I had primed to paint for Feb.
  4. The second of three elves I had primed to paint for Feb.
  5. I was really glad this guy got included in the Bones 5 set. After he sat around unfinished for weeks, I finally got myself in gear and completed him. According to my wife, he looks "full of himself." Definitely a fun one to paint...any critiques welcome.
  6. I guess my theme for Feb. was vampires and elves as I had primed 3 of each and he is the first elf finished.
  7. Here's my first posted work on this forum. I'll be using him to represent one of my two new characters in a Ravenloft campaign that starts this weekend. He's definitely a well designed model that was fun to paint. I made some small modifications around the shoulders (filing it down so it looks like one continuous coat rather than a sleeveless robe). Because he looks so much like Aragorn, I figured it wouldn't really be possible to downplay the similarities. So, I opted to just steer into it instead. 🙂 While painting him up, I even took to calling him "Larrygorn." As usual, I totally chickened out at the last moment and didn't try for any major osl from the torch. Anyway...any comments/critiques are welcome.
  8. He sat for a long time in front of me trying to figure out what colors I wanted to use, then just decided to go with the cliche... Black and red for evil.
  9. Was in the mood to do some vampires this month and she was the first one finished that I primed.
  10. The Ghost of Christmas Past:- The Ghost of Christmas Present:- And the Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come:- Presenting a trio of Christmas Ghosts by Reaper (Unfortunately I can't find their catalogue numbers). Despite their eyes being a bit googly, I'm really pleased with how all three of them came out (Particularly Christmas Future). I still don't get why Christmas Present is dressed like a pirate though. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  11. Catching a bit of a 1970's version of A Christmas Carol while channel hopping today reminded me that I still had these gals to paint:- I was planning on extending Presents base with putty but mine had dried up (Plus I'm not sure I would've had much success reproducing that wooden plank look anyways), so she's going to look a little weird (Although she already looks a little weird in her pirate cosplay). Just waiting on them to dry, and then, hopefully, I can start painting them tomorrow. Won't get them finished by Christmas, I'll probably still be working on them well into January, but I should be able to finish them eventually.
  12. Painted up as a "Billet", followe r of St Cuthbert for a character in Greyhawk D&D game.
  13. Haven't been able to paint much this last month and a half but did manage to squezze out a few.
  14. Havn't been able to paint much this last month and a half but did manage to squezze out a few. Seek out the "Red Robin of Everwine Forest," they would surely know your quest and maybe of some help, said the sage.

  17. This was from a couple months ago; I was pretty unsure what I wanted to do with it. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out, particularly given that I think I only had three different colors of blue paint in bottles, and two of them were pretty similar. Watch out this time of year for this fellow, he'll come riding in with the blizzards!
  18. An ongoing collection of Reaper miniatures that I have brought to completion. REAPER 77623 Avatar of Courage REAPER 77489 Bregan Valkyrie
  19. Last of this month's work. I know said was gonna take a break for the holidays but got bored. While scrounging around my loose mini's I came across her, don't know what happened to the wraiths but decieded to paint her alone....hehe no choice without the wraiths. She always reminded me of someone and wanted no needed to due her as such as i could, so without further ado.... ....A.K.A. "the Scarlet Witch" I wanted her to be at least more sinster looking thinking about going back and giving her a purple eye shadow maybe that will help with the over all look of the face.
  20. and the last of this month's work, pretty sure can't see another one out of me with only half a day left. I know said was gonna take a break for the holidays but got bored. I gave up my blue for that stupid hellborn skag Skarre, now what color do I choose. While looking at pirate pics for ideas I noticed alot of them were deplicted as wearing brown alot but could recall seeing any or hardly any pirate mini's painted as such, so....
  21. Last of this month's work. I know said was gonna take a break for the holidays but got bored. When i first got her i noticed she was so danity, so skinny it felt like I was painting a 25mm. What I planned to be an easy paint job turned into any but.
  22. Presenting my first finished Bones V Kickstarter mini, the mighty Hercules! I don't get much painting time these days, so he's a little rough and rushed in places, but he's done and he doesn't look too bad. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  23. Considering this is a Reaper forum, I don't post nearly enough Reaper stuff! Going to try remedying that by slowly going through that big box of Bones V I've got perched on top of my stack of unpainted things. I'm starting with Hercules (Didn't expect him to be my first choice, but I have been watching a lot of Greek Myth stuff on Youtube lately):- This is after I've prepped him, primed him, had a second go at the mold-lines (I'm trying to get better at this), re-primed and finally given a Brown Wash. Got a little problem going on with his right arm, from the back it's all bulging muscle, but from the front the gap between his bicep and club is filled in with something. Not sure how to fix this, so I decided to paint it as part of his lion cape (And hope no one notices the two halves don't line up). Huh, mystery solved. Looking at it now in these piccys, I can see that weird bit of arm is actually his thumb. Painted his lion cape first (I'm a messy drybrusher). This was a base of Iraqi Sand/Ochre Yellow, then a Brown Wash, then drybrushes of Iraqi Sand/Ochre Yellow and Iraqi Sand/Ochre Yellow/Bonewhite. While the mane and tail end were a base of Iraqi Sand/Ochre Yellow/Leather Brown, Brown Wash and drybrushes of Iraqi Sand/Ochre Yellow/Leather Brown and Iraqi Sand/Ochre Yellow/Leather Brown/Bonewhite. Finally, it got Bonewhite claws, Dwarf Skin paw pads and then everything got Sepia Wash. While I'm on the computer I need to see if lions have special noses, if not then tomorrow I start on the skin of Hercules!
  24. Or, as I like to call him, Smaul Hollywood.
