  1. When you can ride a bear?! This is one I found at the gaming shop and thought was too awesomely unique to pass up. It was also part of the batch of strong heroines I bought up for my birthday in December and have since been painting. My first time painting irises in the eyes of a mini as well.
  2. One really nice feature of Bones is that if I want to do "rider conversions" of minis, it's much more attractive to do so than with pewter counterparts. A big part of this is because the figure is cheap enough that I don't feel like I'm committing sacrilege by cutting up and re-pinning the figure into a "rider" pose. Another part is that it's a whole lot easier to do that cutting-and-pinning business. (One downside is that I can't simply bend a leg into a slightly different position, but "slightly different position" wouldn't apply to this project anyway.) So, for Necronomicon 2015 (ht
  3. Hi all, To start of the year well, I decided to clear some of my primed but not yet painted minis. Here are 2 variations of Blaine (Mantic's mascot) I got from Dungeon Saga and KoW rewards. The version on foot was not very inspiring... but the mounted one was really fun (what is not to like to have a predator looking guy riding a dino!). For the dino, I tried something a bit different from my usual paint job and started with a 2 tone base coat (green an yellow) that I then covered all around with a camo green wash. I'm quite happy with the result. C&C Welcome. Blaine Moun
  4. Made a coven throne from the start collecting set. Now it just needs basing.: WIP pics:
  5. This is Dragoth the Defiler and his throne, towered by an Undead Zombie Dragon. He will lead my army in Age of Sigmar. :) Magnetized, so he can change between ruling on his throne, and slaughter from his mount. ^^
  6. This guy was fun to paint. He looks fierce. When I took a picture of him with my flash on he looked radioactive.
  7. Last time I was at the local gaming shop, my girlfriend tagged along. She's been looking over my shoulder a lot when I fade off into fantasy-land; and when she found some "cute" miniatures, she decided she wanted to learn how to paint them. So here is the result of the first sessions. Just simple painting mechanics for the table top. I was impressed at least. :) And of course: Showing interest in my nerdy hobbies get her some extra stars. ;) She painted the one on the left. Sort of mimicking what I did on the right.
  8. Ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba...ba. ba..............Ba, ba, ba, ba.......ba Edit: I revisited him recently, touched him up, revised the water effects and took some better quality photos. This is an example of what the pics and paint job looked like before:
