  1. The are the first of the Counterblast figures I've completed. This BdE Bot was painted a while ago, but I never got around to basing it. Finally got that done. This guy was fun to paint. Finally an eye big enough for me to work with, and no worries about having to line it up with another one . I kept the bases simple on these as Counterblast is a skirmish game I hope to be playing before too much longer.
  2. Here you can see what I plan to do with my BSR and Saucer. 1. Take them apart (it was easy to do) 2. glue where the pilot should be a magnet and same to the pilot 3. glue dome to the saucer or BSR 4. glue strong magnets in the BSR and Saucer to put it later together. 5. the Backpack is not glued to the robot yet, it will be magnetized, too! I do not think I can do it before next year, because I need to order some magnets. For the BSR I plan to do more, I will put soon pictures and explanations online.
  3. I took a chronoscope Marie, and added a CAV jump booster, replaced her arms with blood nebula mercenary pistol arms, and gave her some stabilizer fins. Now I'm trying to paint her. I'm pretty happy with the base colors, and the face, but I can't decide if it needs more or less carbon marks from zipping around on her jump pack. Any suggestions for doing better scorch marks?
  4. Well, I finally managed to get some painting done and some pics taken. Only 1 dwarf, 1 halfling, a dragon, and a couple of sci fi models... Still a load more stuff to paint, but it's a start! cheers, Michael
  5. So, thanks to those on this board, I've been inspired to try my hand at sculpting my own miniature. I've never attempted to do anything like this ever before so I am a complete Noob at this. If I can make anything even close to what others here have done I'll feel good about this. I'm going for a Cav/Mech type thing in about 50mm scaleish. Perhaps a couple of arm mounted cannons and a couple rocket launchers with a cockpit Nd "chicken legs" We'll see what I actually get... SO! Here are some pics of the tools and supplies I'm using and some pics of where I've gotten so far. I h
  6. Well, I painted this. I'm not really sure it's much to show off about, but at least it's done. This is definitely my least favourite of the Renegade Robot set, so it was kind of a chore to paint, and it shows. Ah, well. Onward and upward.
  7. The recent (and long awaited) arrival of my Judge Dredd rulebook has got me on another Mega-City One painting kick! Finished up a couple of renegade robots today, here's the servo droid. I couldn't resist adding some gore to the chainsaw after reading a nice and simple tutorial recently. I decided not to go for a full-on splatterfest, though, it would have been quite easy to go overboard. I really like this model for reasons I'm not entirely sure about. I think it's the strange combination of the droid's non-threatening design and the huge chainsaw it has for a hand.
  8. This renegade robot dog was really fun to paint, and only took an hour or two. His name is CL1FF0RD and, as was pointed out in my WIP thread, he totally looks like a Voltron cat. I really feel like I might actually be improving in painting flat areas of colour!
  9. A renegade robot servo droid with stump gun, all based and ready to go! Totally not a C-3PO ripoff. Not at all. Really glad I ended up going with normal layering instead of drybrushing with this one, totally paid off.
  10. All done, not a lot to him but I think it looks pretty good. I think I need to work on highlighting flat surfaces a bit more. I never was that good at painting Space Marines.
