This will be yet another Undead /Demon Army. ( what can I say? I love evil miniatures). This army has an Asian theme. Undead Samurai Oni Asian Dragons Some living Asian Allies. Kirin Hope you will enjoy it. I created a background story for it, it is on page 2. Have fun reading! I will paint slowly and it may take a while, but I'm putting this out here to start. Since I backed Zentih's Kensei Undead KS I have a few of the Undead Samurai and Demons waiting I also have the Grenadier Wind Dragon ( alas without the two humans) and the Grenadier Imperial Dragon of the Eleven Celestial Dynasties And some Living Samurai. Also a nice Asian Graveyard Set. Some stuff that has to get painted soon..

A set of minions to use in the VS version of the Batman game, I'm not sure where the Ghost Dragons are from or who they owe their allegiance to. They have a samurai aesthetic, though a bit more drab than the outfits I have seen.

This is Bones Nakayama Hayato Iconic Samurai. I found his details a bit crude and decided to paint it as a statue for my Nippon Project. Speed Paint with the Reaper Stone Triad. Scale 75 Decayed Metal, P3 Molten Bronze and Vallejo Verdigris. WIP here: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79416-nippon-land-of-the-rising-moon-by-glitterwolf/&page=10&tab=comments#comment-1829761 There is a legend that deep in the woods around Kyoto there stands a statue of one of Nippon's greatest warriors. If one would find it and paid respect to it the statue might bestow luck on that person. It is also believed that when the Empire is in dire need, the statue will come to life to fight once more to protect Nippon.

A while ago @Jasper_the_2nd sent me some minis for my Lost World Project. I painted the Clan Wars Naga Champion to fit in my world. This one is a captured Asian Pirate "improved" by the Transmuthor and turned into a Serpent Warrior. Hi guys, so here's a figure I just finished, an old Ral Partha Saturday Night Fever Samurai, who I'm going to go out on a limb and say he's based on John Belushi. Pretty straight forward figure to paint, and I wanted to give him more of a five o'clock shadow (thanks Patrick for the advice) but I just gave it to him where it was actually kind of sculpted in. I looked at a few reference pictures of John Belushi in his Samurai suit, but eventually went a slightly different route to give a bit more color to him. I tried to get a little bit of heat from his cigar too, don't know if you can notice a bit of red and yellow by the ash? Anyhows, I hope you guys all enjoy this little blast from the past!

Here are three more Samurai Zombies from Clan Wars, I got them from @Jasper_the_2nd They are very nice sculpts and I had a lot of fun with these. WIP is here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79416-nippon-land-of-the-rising-moon-by-glitterwolf/ The Undead Samurai slowly advanced, nothing could stop them, arrows just got stuck in their flesh or armor and they kept going. Another volley, nothing stopped them! The now undead Toda Clan sought revenge to those who had wronged them. They kept coming, determined to slaughter their enemies.

Another Clan Wars mini I got from @Jasper_the_2nd for my Nippon, Land of the Rising Moon project. This time an ONI OGRE. WIP HERE: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79416-nippon-land-of-the-rising-moon-by-glitterwolf/ When asked for their allegiance the Oni joined forces with the murdered Toda Clan and the last survivors. Due to the family ties they swore to annihilate the Kenmu Clan for their foul deeds. In battle these Oni terrified the enemy, larger than men and wielding huge weapons they cut their way through the Kenmu ranks.

This is a Clanwars mini provided by @Jasper_the_2nd in my project he is Master Nurin. WIP and story here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79416-nippon-land-of-the-rising-moon-by-glitterwolf/&page=2 I tried a little freehand. Two sets of pics in different light. Which ones are the best? Master Nurin watched how the undead samurai burned down the Kenmu town. Yoshigaru would be pleased, this was only the beginning. His wrath for murdering the Toda Clan would be merciless.

For my Nippon Land of the Rising Moon Project. WIP Here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79416-nippon-land-of-the-rising-moon-by-glitterwolf/&page=2 @Jasper_the_2nd send me a bunch of Clan Wars minis for my project at a bargain. Here is the first one. The metal on the blade looks better in real life than on the pics, it is not that harsh at the 28mm scale... Anyway, first one of the Undead Toda Army is done. Hope you people like it. Likes, Comments and Bacon are welcome!

This was modified with the Pathfinder Ezren's staff after I severely failed at modeling my own staff. My friend did not like the candelabra he was originally holding. I don't do too many mods, still came out pretty good.

I really need to figure out how to attach parts with little surface area better. Those wrists are so delicate and I am sure difficult to game with without breaking.

I've sculpted 3 tengu figures for Reaper -- a rogue, samurai (warrior), and wizard -- but until recently I had painted only the tengu rogue, and that was 2 years ago (July 2015). I had an idea to paint the warrior and enter both the rogue and warrior as a combined entry into the Open category of the painting contest at ReaperCon. They would have been "Tengu Twins", because the samurai uses the exact same head and feet as the rogue, but with a new body. I started painting him on the Thursday of the con, but managed to finish only the head and set him onto a base. On Friday, I GM'd a game of Pathfinder Society and taught a class in the afternoon, and had only an hour to paint in between. I blocked in some jade green on the armor, and purple-brown for the cloth -- dark colors like I had used on the rogue -- but they weren't working well. So I set the warrior aside and put the rogue into the contest by himself. One night in the hotel after ReaperCon, I watched 3 episodes of the blade-forging reality show "Forged in Fire". In one episode, the smiths had to put a hamon (wavy line) on the knife they were forging, so I knew should add a hamon to the tengu's sword. Back at home, I was walking around my neighborhood when I noticed the tiles on a nearby apartment building, in ultramarine blue and turquoise. Inspiration for the armor! I painted for several hours last Sunday and Monday and was nearly finished but wasn't sure of the last few moves: freehand on the cloth, and maybe some color shifts. I paused and took photos: And I sketched over it in Photoshop: So I went back to the painting table for a couple of hours.... Derek

Darth Sana She stared at her adversary with cool and calm calculation, the Jedi was nervous... she saw the fear in his eyes, yes... GOOOOOOD.... fear would cause him to make mistakes.. she'd cut him down with her force-imbued katana and notch another Jedi scum on her belt... She snarled at him, "Come and die, you fight the Sith Mistress!" ---------------------------------------------------- Manufacturer: White Wolf Miniatures 3 parts: Head, body, Sword. Scale: 70mm high Sculptor: Juan Puerta Casting: Sago This was a labor of love and fun for me, I decided as soon as I saw this beautiful bust that I was going to paint her up as 'evil' and the paint scheme that called to me was to paint her up to look like Darth Maul, I added the horns with copper wire and then sculpted them on with ProCreate. Towards the end of the project, I was trying to decide how to display her and it came to me that I wanted to make her part of a story, give her a bit more of the Star Wars tie-in with a completely scratch-built Tie Fighter. The title placards on the sides were designed by my good friend @Thrym and I printed them off on cardstock and glued them onto the plasticard sides of the tie fighter. The scabbard is my attempt at a sort of force rune, it is Kanji which translates into "Sith Mistress." WIP can be found here: Without further ado, I present (Darth) Sana from White Wolf Miniatures! Thanks for looking (and following along), C&C are welcomed and greatly appreciated!

My good friends over at White Wolf Miniatures sent me Sana as a gift, she's an amazingly clean resin sculpt of a female samurai. As soon as I saw her I knew how I wanted to paint her up. I'm going with a Darth Maul color scheme with red and black and I'll freehand the sith symbol somewhere on her armor. I'll elicit your comments and critiques as I paint her up. Right now I have her washed, prepped, and ready to get primed. As you can see she's nearly 80mm tall.

Hello guys and gals! So just got these two photographed this afternoon, two Children of the Night old school Samurais, from two different packages. One is a Female Samurai, out of an old Samurai Player Characters package or something similar, and the other one is a dwarf samurai from a Dwarf Player character set, beautifully and petitely sculpted by Dennis Mize. I painted them both at the same time in an attempt to use the same color schemes, hence saving a tad bit of time. I'm pretty satisfied how they came out, even though I have doubts about the female samurai's eyes. These are though very true 25 mm figures, really small, so I don't think I want to keep messing with them, as don't want to make matters worse. Here's the Female Samurai: And here is the Dwarf Samurai: Here they are together: and this is kind of fun, I actually painted the female samurai as per the records I found, in July of 2007, so literally a decade ago, and here is that comparison: In which also the eyes were a bit obnoxious to work with, but in my old paint job, they ended up being pretty large. The older version way back then would have been painted with craft paints and brushes I would have gotten from Michaels. So anyways, hope you enjoy!

This is my work so far on Goemon from the Ninja All Stars line of Sodapop miniatures. He is mostly done, but will need basing and to be sealed.

03524 Masaki, Ronin Every time I look at this miniature the line "They call me Jack..." comes in my head. I painted him to medium tabletop but his skin, that was fun. That was something I succeeded with at above tabletop, so I don't know where to put him quality-wise. The white I figured, given everything that happens during that show, would not be clean and crisp as it shows up every time on the show, so I made it a bit more dingy. I'm happy with it even if it's not super-crisp. I could probably throw another highlight on top for the white, but I really feel that he looks better this way. I threw a few gears on the ground to indicate he just blew up one of Aku's monsters, and his sword is slightly less bright because of that. C&C always welcome :)

Since I posted some of my work where I converted certain reaper miniatures into kitsune a while ago, I figured I would post one of the newer kitsune that I've painted recently. I got this miniature from "Everyman Gaming", they have been getting a site called imagine3dminiatures.com to 3d print miniatures for them. This miniature was a bit difficult to paint because I had to clean off a lot of plastic nubs that were leftover from the 3d printing process. I kept finding more even after I primed the miniature. I also had to cut the mini off of its 30mm base and glue it to one of reaper's 1 inch scale bases. However, in the end the mini came out very well! Well, some parts came out a bit messy, like the gold on the shield, and the black wash. Luckily, in real life people won't be able to see the messy black wash that I put on the mini, lol. Painting this mini was a lot of fun, so I'm planning to paint Everyman's nine tailed kitsune miniature soon :D

My samurai Tengu Warrior. I could not figure out what was sculpted on his shoulder armor. My wife and I looked under a magnifying glass and decided "Cartoon Troll With Big Nose" and " Exploding Chicken Head On Fire" They are both different looking and neither is pictured in Reapers stock photos. Tough paint, because I could not find any painted examples online for reference. The static grass I ordered really helped break up all those browns.

I sent off these Samurai for Chibi Paint Swap #07. The picture was taken by my 'target' who obviously has better photo equipment than I do.

This is the start of my three samurai project for Chibi Paint Swap #07. I wanted to experiment with a largely monochrome technique. This guy is mostly the yellow you can see in his mask with different mixes of black and white for most of the rest of the model. The exceptions are the brown of the wood and the purple for some ghostly effects and washes and for accent colors. It has at least been fun to play with. Still a WIP. Helpful critiques are welcome.
