  1. Hello All, Here are some Dungeon Vermin: Scorpions 77125 I completed a few weeks ago. Thank you for looking.
  2. I've been slowly (very slowly) working my way through some of the larger non-humanoid figures in my collection. This one took me about a year to complete, mostly because of the wings. I haven't figured out how to do the translucent effect yet, but I'm getting closer.
  3. 3D Printed on my Elegoo Mars. Design from Heroes Infinite ( Raging Heroes 's 3D Section) Part of my Subterranean Realms Project. WIP HERE: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/90052-the-subterranean-realms-by-glitterwolf/page/2/#comments Exploring caverns or mining minerals is not without danger. There is life down there, some of it miniscule and harmless, some of it though.....
  4. Latest tormentor for my D&D group. Legs were a bit wonky to put together but I got them in the end. What do you think?
  5. 77337: Giant Scorpion (Bones Version) by Bob Ridolfi This poor guy was only half painted when he got used in a D&D Game, without a base. I'm very ashamed that I did that to him. But now he has a base and is much happier. If anyone asks, he is a special genetic mutant scorpion which has different colours on its two halves. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. I definitely didn't get tired of shading him and dump on my shelf of shame, oh no, never. 40 projects left on my shelf of shame.
  6. Also from my lunch sessions, these were painted in about 30 minutes all together. The beetles are heavily drybrushed with silver, with a thin transparent glaze of purple, blue and red across different parts of the carapace. Good enough for government work,as they say.
  7. Another monster for my Lost World Project Project here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-xherman1964-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/ This is a 15mm miniature from Demonworld, since it is really huge I use it for my 28mm project. That is a Microart Studio resin jungle base 3 x 2 inch! I tried to emulate the metallic sheen that some beetles have on this scorpion. Using different metallics and then some inks and black glazing. Enjoy. Likes and comments welcome,if you want to throw rotten tomatoes, report to the scorpion first for a "talk"
  8. For Minivember I will try to do a different model each day (duplicates or similar models (from the same unit or suchlike still only count as one!). If you want to see the rest of my minivember minis, feel free to have a look at my painting blog..I won't be posting each and every one here, just the Reaper minis and maybe some that I find especially interesting. Yes, they will be speedpaints, just like all my minis. Seeing as I am starting out a week late, I have some catching up to do... Since I do not particularily like 80s power ballads, there will not be any The Scorpions youtube videos here... Mama Scorpy with two of her newly hatched babies Speedpainted on a black basecoat in blues, browns and reds. ...Now I want to play Fallout 4. 77337 Giant Scorpion and 77125 Vermin: Scorpions Reaper Bones KS2 and KS1 respectively Bonesium PVC 60mm and 30mm bases These count as 1 for Minivember.
  9. Hey guys back again! decided to do a version of the Dungeons and dragons cartoon scorpion using the reaper miniature my inspiration was this guy : So I tried to capture the cartooniness but also have a semi real look to it! So enjoy looking and as always comments are wanted and gratefully received!
  10. I received my fall exchange from Keianna yesterday; I had asked for something outdoorsy/fall themed and/or something creepy for Halloween; it turns out I got both! They are both wonderfully painted; thank you so much! Also if you have more/better pictures, please feel free to add them, or link to to a separate thread. Thanks again!
  11. Another day, another mini off of the shelf. In all honesty the Giant Scorpion wasn't on my shelf for very long, maybe a couple of weeks. It only got as far as the brown liner priming before its timeout. This time, I needed a test subject for the Scalecolor NMM gold/brass paints. Obviously I didn't paint the scorpion NMM, though you could if you wanted to, but I did get an idea of what the paints look like straight and mixed together. At this point I lack any desert flora to liven the base up, so it's just sandy. One tabletop Giant Scorpion to the done pile.
  12. Took a lot more time than I thought he would, but he was fun to paint. I really love painting Reaper's monsters. Somehow I ended up with a whole different style than my previous scorpion, but even if it doesn't match, I think it came out OK. My resolution is to paint at least what I have put together on my desk before I purchase anymore minis. This takes care of mini #4, just a handful more to go! Hope you enjoy.
  13. Been about a month since I had the chance to post or even look at anything on here. I had major withdrawal and plan on catching up. Last handful of models I painted weren't the most exciting, mostly just for gaming and not worth posting. I stared at this guy for a week trying to figure out what color scheme to go with. I hit it with red and stared at it another 24hrs. My wife picked up a bottle of reaper highlight orange and said "Use this." Although a lot of other color mixtures went on the model, her color was the base. Glad I listened, I love the way it came out. Tempted to go over it with a gloss though. I feel like it should have an icky wet look to it. Hope you enjoy :)
  14. Giant Desert Scorpion...this is a work in progress...I have done my base color work...now I have to do my lighter desert sand highlights. The scorpion will be mounted on a desert landscape motif base. It will be a creature that the adventure group encounters when they enter the barren desert wastelands (they have a while to go).
  15. This is a giant creature that is a common encounter for the adventure group. It is encountered in caves, caverns and dungeons...but can also be encountered outdoors around the entrance to same caves, caverns & dungeons. I gave it a "high gloss" finish to represent the luminescent factor (it appears (in game play) luminescent in the darkness of caves, caverns and dungeons. It is a neat enemy foe for my adventure group(s).
  16. I really need to make the Scorpion Man into a female archer (preferably an elf/drow, but I can add the ears if I need to.) I ordered the torso from the Isiri Arachnid Archer figure (14517) but it looks seriously tiny in comparison to the scorpion body. does anybody have any other suggestions? I looked through the Reaper site and I couldn't find anything that seemed right. I'm totally willing to hack a mini in half if I need to - Can anyone suggest something that would be the right scale? It doesn't have to be Reaper, but I don't know a lot of other brands.
  17. Currently working on these for an egyptian themed commission that I'm doing.
  18. Well finally got these little fellows done. They are speed painted (yes I am working on some minis other than speed painting) and I've only taken a photo of one. They are so small though that my available camera can barely take a picture of them! So here is the 1 workable shot I managed and I'll see if I can get a better shot tomorrow night.
