In my Children of the Night she's the or one of the Witches of the Western Woods. Calling upon foul creatures of the Dark Woods and the spirits of those who found their demise there she will join the Evil Crusade against Men. Hello everyone, here are some pictures of the Cavemen matriarch. This Dark Heaven Legends 02395, Cavewoman was sculpted by Bobby Jackson. I added primitive paintings on the jars and scratches on her knuckles, elbows and knees.

Here my Mudcroack. Love the mini. Recently we have been playing the Tomb of Annihilation D&D campaign, based on the jungles of Chult, and we found many of these adorable frogmen creatures, Grungs. That motivated me to start working with Mudcroack despite having almost all the new GW goblins waiting. Well, frogs are usually green, jungles too, and it was all kinda repetitive; so I decided to use as little green as possible. For the basing I chose a resin scenic base that I adapted, and the "barbed bracken" plants from GW. Any feedback welcome, and if you want, please follow me on instagram at @albertnyarla

Good morning, here's my next figure, a Shadowrun gnome shaman, that came out of a set of MetaHuman figures, two gnomes (the female gnome already painted) a hobgoblin and a cyclops. A feisty little gnome shaman or druid, kind of scrawny with a nice long braided head of hair in the back. Fun figure to paint, a small part of the Gnomevember painting extravaganza (my extravaganza of two figures that is). No idea in the world that that thing he is holding, some kind of totem, so I pretty randomly painted it. Kind of a lot of detail for such a small little figure. Not one hundred percent sure who sculpted, but I'm guessing maybe Jim Johnson? Maybe somebody else will know a bit better. Anyhoos, hope you all enjoy!

A set of Orc Shamans recently released through Duncan Shadow's Patreon. All were printed on my Ender 3. My favorite of the batch, the, ahem, "Vomit Mage". The design was apparently inspired by the Warhammer Ogre Firebelly, who has always been a favorite of mine. This was my first print using clear filament: The most generic looking of the Shamans. The corrupted Warlock. I think I'll call him Dan.

Orcs. My favorite thing to paint. How do I summit this to get on the website? anyone know?

02805, Rowena, painted up as a tribal witchdoctor/shaman sort of person for my "Darkest Africa" games; It's most enjoyable to see how a bit of magic upsets wargamers!

Starting a new figure, from AoW this time. Currently worked on the skin parts...and I could not skip the eye on this one haha Just for reference and info , I put the color used for this part ...( at least that will be a reminder for me what I used haha ). Skin : Mix of Vallejo model color olive green and lime green and Reaper Heather Blue. Nails and Teeth, Gum : Vallejo model color purple, Reaper Desert Sand and Bleached Linen Also a pass of Army Painter Dark Tone Wash to renforce a bit shadow.

Posting this guy here since it's finished. No fancy base for him since it will go on the vignette , so I will certainly once put in there add couple stuff on that tiny base but for now I just make it so it mostly match the rest of the vignette ground ( see orc wip ) Wip link : and the final pic ( played a bit to have other than white background xD )

Edit: updated the pictures to have a neutral background (suggested by Glitterwolf) and better lighting. Hey Guys! I'm pretty new to painting miniatures but I'm having a lot of fun with it. This is the first one that I feel really good about but I'd also love some feedback. Thanks!

I really love this sculpt and the orcs from Shieldwolf in general. Aaand I still have PLENTY to paint up. The cloak was much more challenging than I initially expected, but I am happy with how it turned out. The effect on the base isn't quite as awesome as I imagined but it didn't turn out too badly. Again, not sure what caused the little white dots.

Freshman year of high school, my friend Bob Evans (no lie) introduced me to the world of miniatures. I thought they were gorgeous and it looked like a supremely fun hobby, one I'd really enjoy... but I'd probably be no good at it. Besides, you've got to prime those things, and where was Mom gonna let me spraypaint? Fast forward two decades and I've finally started painting miniatures. (And I don't need to prime them! And there's brush-on primer now, too!) It seems silly, but the hobby is everything I've always wanted it to be: Meditative, rewarding, challenging, and a whole lot of fun. I dipped my toe in with the LTP kit and was hooked. Six weeks later and here we are! Without further ado, here are my first few fellas that I painted after burning through that kit and the Layer Up LTP kit. I'm surprised that there's not more love for these little guys on the forums or in the inspiration gallery! They do a good job straddling the line between adorable and vicious. These figures were my most challenging yet, with a lot of detail work. Each one took probably four to six hours to paint, and the teeth really gave me some trouble there. Meet Kermit and his thugs, Dig'em and Michigan J. I'm still a newbie to this hobby, so I'd gladly take any comments and criticism in the interest of honing my skills!

(sort off) Going with Chaos wolf's theme of building a warband is the following: Goblin Leader & Shaman Ben Siens In Metal In Bones This would give us an apprentice spell caster for March, and a Barbarian / warrior / knight for April.... Price is pretty nice in metal, but I realize some folks may already have the bones version..... I will be placing my order on Friday when the Trista mini comes out in metal Need the new Domor mini as well....

One more from the Thanksgiving paint binge. I wanted to paint her in bright fall colors, so I used Corporeal Shadow and Pumpkin Orange on her clothing.

(reaper bones #77269) I thought I'd show off my Frog Shaman before I continued him much further. When I saw him in the box, I immediately thought I wanted to do a poison-dart style, so I set out to do it. I kinda' invented my own dart-species for him... but I think it'll work out well. Obviously, it'll look better as it comes along (when I do his teeth and eyes especially), but for now I just thought I'd show off his skin as it comes along. Next step: Eyes (probably going to be an obnoxious yellow-green). After that: Making his skin and eyes a HIGH gloss to make him look "wet". Then.... I can start to work on his clothes and accessories (and teeth). Note: I did his skin by coloring him with many obnoxious colors (faded to the best of my ability from one to the other), and then after that dried - I went over it with a thick black where needed to put in his "pattern".

I found myself lacking native islander types for my ongoing Isle of Dread game, so I had to improvise a bit. I tried to pull together a bunch of pieces that could work for encounters with the locals. Grundor was the one I had already tried to give a different spin to, with an African theme and a lionskin cloak. I figured I had enough Nordic Viking/Berserker types and could use him for something else, having gotten him with the second Kickstarter. The rest were pulled from varying bins. First, the Reaper minis:

So just got this one done this morning, a Ral Partha Shaman, one of the figures that will be with the Chaos Wars Kickstarter from Ral Partha. I definitely have a spot here on this one that I'm not happy with, but hopefully if I don't glaringly point it out, nobody would notice.

I had a really good time painting these. I had previously painted my Mudcroak as a poison dart frog. When I saw the squog warriors at one of my local stores, I was really excited except....the blister pack only had one squog. Got a deal on him so I only have one warrior. (I can always get more!) I decided to paint him as a tropical tree frog. A friend of mine at another game store had his box of Bones II and gave me his frogs to paint for him. I did his Mudcroak as a tree frog, one warrior as a dart frog, and the last as a corroboree frog. Here they are!

So this is the new Bones II Kickstarter frogman shaman, 92683, sculpted by Jason Wiebe. I love this figure. It has lots of delightful details. Its staff alone is a treasure chest of goodies: a narwhal tusk wrapped with seashells and a starfish, with a little puffer fish hanging off the top. The shaman is also wearing a frog skull which is available in the Boneyard as a separate piece. The teeth, however, are silly. Frogs don't have them. I don't think this one could close its mouth properly on those. Perhaps they are false teeth worn for battle. I painted the shaman and the two warriors that go with it like a common leopard frog, the sort I used to catch as a kid. WIP thread here.

Here is my version of Mudcroak (Bones). I love him! The store only had 1 or I would have purchased several more and will be getting more as soon as I can. I had a great time painting him and want to do several other froggy patterns. I also purchased the frogmen...well frogman as only one was in the package. (Sad face) I am planning on painting that one with the typical tree frog bright green with orange feet pattern. I need more frogs! I painted this little guy while I was waiting for the water effects to dry on my exchange mini. So, here is Mudcroak in all his poison dart frog glory! (The sun is very bright this morning so the pictures a brighter and more heavily shadowed than I would like but I wanted to show him off now and not wait!)
