A little magic today! Here is 01402, Magnus the Wizard of Hope. This Special Edition model was sculpted by Werner Klocke and was released as a fund raiser for 9-11 relief. To my knowledge, it was also available on December 11, 2011, December 10, 2013 and December 5, 2014 during the twelve days of Reaper.

Presenting the Wayward Mariner, this poor soul is from one of Malifauxs Special Edition sets (I think he's part of an alternate Molly crew) by Wyrd Games. Very happy with how this one painted up, my only problem is how I've had to awkwardly wedge him in one corner of his large base to accommodate his overhanging anchor, looks weird and stupid. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.

Hey, everyone! I hope you're all doing well. I haven't been very active on here for a while, but I've been painting. I figured that I'd start putting up my backlog of models. I love Dwarves, and this was a really cool model to paint. I'm particularly happy with the NMM, but if I were to change one thing, I would probably alter the tone of the hair and beard a bit so that it doesn't so closely match the armor.

My work for this past week. I don't have space to display big dioramas; not even for scenic bases. Lately, though, I've been trying really, really small diorama ideas or improved basing with a bit more life. An example was my Mucroack posted here a month ago or so. Now I used that idea to combine two Reaper miniatures that fit together perfectly; special edition Halloween Knight & Halloween Tree. I used a rusty bronze, green & orange palette for most of this work. Really happy with the outcome :) P.S. Gallery on Instagram @albertnyarla , will love some new followers ^^

The bestiary entry for Erithereans in "Frostgrave: Ghost Archipelago" convinced me to finally paint a special edition Reaper miniature I had been waiting on for way too long. I can't believe it's been 12 years...and that every elephant miniature Reaper put out is currently Out of Print (I know the Bones Elephant God should be hitting retail soon, and he is very nice.) One day I may find a copy of the P-65 Elephant Man, Pachylox. He's one of the sad few who never came over to Bones. Here's Harapan!

Hello fine people (and other assorted things) of the Reaper forum! Continuing in our project of teaming up to show you two different methods to go about painting the same miniature, Buglips and I decided that we would do a WIP thread for Con Crud, Convention Zombie from the 2017 Reapercon swag bag! He's a great little figure, sculpted by Gene Van Horne, that we thought we could have some fun with. This will be our second shared WIP thread in this series of ours, in case you missed it, check out our first one where we painted Thanis the Bonecaller: As with that one, I will be covering my usual method of painting for display, and Buglips will be approaching the figure with his own usual "fast-but-decent method." As with the last one, Buglips' method will be much faster than mine will be and you'll get to see where our two styles diverge. We will be sharing our own issues, thoughts and methods with you in the hopes that someone will find such things useful. So on to the mini! Here's my Con Crud, fresh out of his blister: I prepped him in my usual way, with some diamond files to grind off the mold lines and bit of flash that you can see on his outstretched foot and hand. He has some notable mold lines through his hair and back and down the left (his left) side of his face. I'll show you throughout the process how I'll tackle those. So here he is after I primed him with Reaper's Brush-On Primer in white, thinned down with some water. As usual, I only did one thin coat so as not to obscure the details on him and I took a couple of additional shots from different angles so you can see some of the mold lines that I'll need to work on a little more down the road.

Yup after that comment in one of my other WIP's I couldn't stop myself from starting a new WIP. I had this sitting on my queue for a bit now. Since I've been working on the Zombicide Walkers so much lately I had to try my hand at a different model of zombie. I decided on Bonesylvanian Barb. The eyes were my first step. After posting I realized what was bothering me about them. The light isn't in the same angle on both sides. Doh! Also all was going well with using the same colors as my other zombies, when I decided to drift from the previous method by adding a glaze to add color. I tried a dark blue glaze. While I think that works great for darkening green, not sure it worked so well for the face. Ah well, live and learn. Here is the result of tonight's foray:

I painted this one for my oldest stepdaughter, she's into synchronized swimming has like 23 swim certificates and I believe she's secretly part fish. Also she's a bit of a scrooge sometimes, so I added a Rustik Market's piece of resin treasure. Made the rock from Milliput. WIP is here http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/66314-mary-the-mermaid-by-xherman1964-or-underwater-greed/ Gave her a stripes inspired by the tigershark, but different because she's a mermaid. Hope you like her, she did!!!

When I decided to enter the Painting Excuses contest I thought about painting Kyrie as Little Red Riding Hood (Pingo made mention of it when she came out and the idea has been rattling in my head ever since). But as I prep-ed her, it occurred to me that it would take very little to turn her into a barbarian version of Princess Mononoke. I mean, wolf cape! So I filled out her skirt with green stuff and covered the wolf face with a round blob to make the mask. I ended up wishing I had had made the mask bigger though. I used the rosy skin triad on her, blackened brown, shield brown, ginger cookie... and some tan on her armour bits. I know I started with ginger cookie for the cloak, and ended with white, but I don't remember the in-between colour (painting journal, what's that? ) And as usual, my camera washed out the work I did on the white. Honest to Sophie, there's actual shading and whatnot on that fur cloak

Well, here is a mini I painted just for fun to give me a break from the LTPK3 NMM figures I was working on. I attempted to give him glowing eyes and NMM for the buttons. I had fun painting him up. Thanks for viewing and any C&C you feel like giving. Edit to remove spacing I had it for some reason.

How big is she? Is she standard mini sized or bigger? I am not at reapercon and was planning to order her but her price seems kind of high for a standard size mini and she doesn't have any Bryangles in the picture.

I saw the wise man listed in the special editions a couple days ago with no picture. Now it isn't showing up at all. Any ideas where he wondered off too???
