  1. More of my wall of thorns from Bones5. They are a bit prickly to assemble, the pieces don't fit together very well, but with patience and a hobby knife they come out ok. I suggest painting at least the base coat before assembly, as getting in between the vines can be tricky afterward.
  2. Finished up another old school model. I've had this loose in a box for years. Lost Mini Wiki says it's from a Grenadier set called Wizards Room. but I have no memory of ever buying that. Both the summoning circle and the cauldron are from that set, but I'm not certain they were meant to go together. This was fun because I was able to use some colors that I don't use very often, and this is the first time I've done anything with OSL. I'm on the fence as to how well the OSL turned out. Some angles work well, other angles not so much. Comments and critiques welcome.
  3. I finished painting this beastie back in June, but I hadn't gotten around to taking pictures until now. The clear purple makes for really neat effects.
  4. This is the second version of the Razorspine Rattler from Wyrd Miniatures (SKU 20315). Its kinda unsettling looking, kinda wyrd in fact I practiced washes on this thing, it ended up with not enough contrast in the end, so I had to lighten it up on top using highlights, at least it was a good exercise. The spikes were a real pain, so many of them! And after it was finished one of the cats knocked it to the floor, amazingly even if the model broke in one spot, none of the spines broke. I guess that plastic is stronger than it looks.
