Howdy, For my twelfth day of International Mini Painting Month I present Ungorth, Cthon Summoner - Reaper Con 2016 exclusive... Kev!

This is an Aasimar Summoner and his Eidolon that I painted up for my new Pathfinder campaign. I'm pretty sure the foo dog is supposed to be a statue, but eidolons are typically otherworldly creatures, so the blue skin and gold mane makes him look bizarre enough. I'm really happy with the color scheme and how they compliment each other. It might be a little hard to tell from the pics, but his hair has a gold colored hue and the eyes are glowing purple to match the eidolon. I tried to create a glowing effect coming from the staff, as well as his outstretched hands. I also attempted some minor photo editing to brighten the pictures up, as the lighting in my house is pretty weak. Overall, I'm pretty proud of this pair, but I will probably touch up a few things here and there. Any tips on glowing or magic effects that I could add to the summoner or eidolon would be appreciated. Thanks for any comments or critiques!

This was the first mini I painted in over 25 years. And I had only painted a few pewter battle tech and D&D minis back then. This was a result of watching lots of youtube videos for some tips. I think it came out OK, but I have seen some really nice examples of this one by other people. Well, here's my crack at it... I painted another Bones mini after this one (Iconic Alchemist) and it came out a little better. One thing I noticed on this mini is that I didn't really trim up the mold lines very well around the hands. Thanks for looking.

Here is another mini I recently painted. Orginally intended for the Facebook contest, I finished it two days prior to the deadline, but never managed to take pictures. So I based it up for use in my Summoner's warband for Frostgrave. I figure he'll make agood apprentice. Done to my standard tabletop level, the pictures magnify every mistake I made. I tried to do some mystical runes on the scroll, but my paint was too thin and just bled everywhere. So he now has a water damaged scroll in his hand. Or perhaps, it only look blotchy to the uninitiated. Yeah, let's go with that. Also, are my picture looking as big on everyone elses screen as they are on mine? If so, I'll have to try and fix that. Fixing image size.

So, I've been painting (or hobbying) every day so far this year. I'm finally getting around to posting figures as I've finished some bases and am calling them done. First up is Damien, who I painted up a while back to represent my Tiefling Warlock for 5th Edition. I modified the staff into a rod (a more Warlock type item) and kept him simple. The game I painted him for never really went anywhere and when we decided to try to get a New England area Frostgrave campaign going, I dusted him off (literally as he sat on my desk for months) and based him up to represent a Summoner. Just a basic tabletop job. I like how his silver eyes look. Give him that otherworldly sinister look.

So this is a mini that has been sitting on my half finished shelf for more than a year. She's an Endless Fantasy Tactics Summoner that I had gotten out of a miscast pile with a bunch of others at a con. The body of the mini was mostly fine, but she had a messed up hat. So somewhere along the way I decided that I would just put a warhammer torch bit on her head and make her a crazy fire witch. Then I base coated her, and promptly left her on a shelf collecting dust. Well I finally painted her.

I just want peoples opinions on whether or not this character woulld fun to have in a group or obnoxious. A half orc summoner who views his Eidelon as his late brother returned to him and they have the personalities of tag team wrestlers and fight in a similar manner. They would both were luchador masks and pehaps sound a bit like Hulk Hogan or Ric Flair or some othe over the top old wrestling personality. Opinions? Would it be briefly funny perhaps best for society play or immediatly irritating, or something that would be fun to have in a campaign.?

Vallisra Satish Standing inside her summoning circle, Vallisra Satish thumps her staff of power down and channels forth arcane energies, the runes light up red and energies start to swirl about. She throws her head back and laugh wickedly, the plane opens up and out steps her Eidolon... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Figure - Evil Female Mage (DSM-1168) Manufacturer - Darksword Miniatures Material - Pewter WIP Thread here. EDIT: I've taken some better pictures and replaced the old ones with these. Thanks for looking!

Actually it should be look at what my Dad found. He gave me found a handful of my old Grenadier miniatures the other day from the early 1980s and this was about the best looking figure in the lot, condition wise. Probably because I never liked him as a kid, not the most exciting guy, but no globs of testers paint on him for me to clean off and most of his body intact....Sweet. I had fun painting him and was thinking about painting some more of them, but I'm not sure if anybody is interested in this stuff here. Probably not as cool as a pro could pull off on an old piece, but I still hope you enjoy. :)
