  1. Dagmar of the Shield of Red Box Games. A miniature I painted a few months ago but forgot to post.
  2. Presenting the Knight of the Storm. After encountering the legendary Knight of Skulls, he was inspired to abandon his original knightly order, who had become little more than the attack dogs of the corrupt Galactic Nobles, and set out on his own. Eventually he banded together with other, like-minded, knights to form The Brotherhood of Bones, a beacon of hope in an otherwise cold and uncaring universe. Yep, it's another Space Marine, this time it's one of the heroes from the Deathwatch: Overkill boxset. Didn't want to use the official Deathwatch colour scheme (a very boring mostly black with a silver left arm), so I'm making it up as I go again. As always, any comments or criticisms are greatly appreciated.
  3. So after working lots on Ral Partha Chaos Wars drwarves, here is something a little bit different. Still very old school, from an old Partha line, Royal Armies of the Hyborean Age, a female thief, really simple sculpt from Dennis Mize, a front and back angle, nice figure, sculpted it looks like in 1979. Enjoy!
  4. Had lots of fun painting this, was supposed to be NMM gold practice for a future project. Any comments and critiques would greatly appreciated.
  5. Hi guys, first mini after a 6 month lay off. Just saw the X-men and decided to give my take on Nightcrawler. Any comments to help me improve would be much appreciated.
  6. This is Ingrid, the female viking from Reaper Miniatures. I bought one years ago which after sitting unpainted for to long I finally sold last year. But this year I had a change of heart and had to buy a new one. And now she's finished. Rather pleased with the result, especially with her leather "neck guard". I had some ideas for a symbol on her shield but I didn't dare to try any of them out. So I left it plain for now.
  7. The pathfinder rendition of this guy has his armor all metal. Eh, I wanted more color. I could add him to my Cult of Kirk if I so choose.
  8. I've been hitting a slump in my painting that's been keeping me from these forums for quite a while. I'm trying to regain my rythm and getting some pieces done. This is one of them: This is my very own Sir Forscale. I figured I had to have one. Somewhat of a quick fix.
  9. Mini appears to be this guy. I was going for a kind of unearthly celestial glow with him, though it came out really strangely in the hair. Still, fun to paint :-) Update: I didn't like how his base looked. Although it was transparent, it didn't give the illusion of floating, so I added some "clouds", which is closer to what I wanted, but still doesn't quite give the flying illusion. :-/ If anyone has any suggestions on how I can make him look more like he's flying, I'm all ears :-) Thanks!
  10. Hey! I painted the models Saramonde, Crusaders Chronicler and Kyla, Bounty Hunter! And HERE you will find a post on my blog!
  11. I felt less was more with this one.
  12. I wanted to add a couple properly snow based necromancers to my Frostgrave collection, so I looked through the Bones I "Necromancers" set and selected two, one of which was the Ghoul Queen. I figure she will make a good apprentice for my Necromancer warband. As I studied the figure, I was bothered by the fact that she seemed to be wearing two scabbards, one with a sword and the other empty. I thought the empty scabbard looked kind of useless and redundant, so decided I would reduce her scabbard count down to one, and make it one that had a sword in it. Now, the easy thing to do would have been to remove the top sword, which is a glued on addition anyway, cut the hilt off and then glued the hilt to the empty scabbard. But the scabbard on her back is the cooler one with the bone additions, so some more intensive surgery would be necessary. First thing I did was use my hobby knife to pry the bone-scabbard sword off her back. Next, I very carefully cut the empty scabbard below the lower attachment ring, and then sliced it off the back of her dress. I then took the bone-scabbard sword, and cut it into four pieces, hilt, center section, lower section, and the little pin knob that fit into the hole in her back. After the surgery, it was a simple matter to glue the lower half of the bone-scabbard in place, then attach the hilt, and secure the cords hanging from it to the empty scabbard piece that remained below her right hand. I then glued the pin knob into the hole in her back and when it was dry, I sliced it down to be even with her back. I'm really pleased with how this conversion turned out. In my opinion, it makes the figure look much more streamlined and less busy. As always, C & C welcome.
  13. I had some bits left over after the CMON Not-Conan mini, and decided to use them on a Chaos Marauder. The Axe, head and uh, lobbed-off head are the bits that was left.:
  14. Had this guy around for a while. Painted him at a local store gathering today: https://youtu.be/lSyov5YTpKo?t=46s
  15. How is he going to shoot that bow with a sword in his hand?
  16. So stripping figures and cleaned up this lovely NOT Alias looking mini... The item at her feet in the 1st 2 pics are her sword and right hand. Markings on base are Ral Partha 1997. After looking in my '97, and winter 98/99 catalogs, nada. Looking through Lost Minis wiki, nada... Help! Thanks! George
  17. I'm planning on using this guy as a douche bag reoccurring villain in my Stormbringer Campaign. He looks so douchy with that beard, but he painted up nicely.
  18. He must have found that sword. Resourceful!
  19. At first glance it looks like this guy is carrying a boom box.
  20. Yes, it's a little late, but here is the group paint figure from my box in round 2 of the Box of Goodwill. In no particular order; these are the talented folks who worked on her: Mad Jack Flamehawke David Brawley Thes Hunter RGTriplec Kay13 KangarooRex Jasper the 2nd Thankfully, all they left me to do was try and not wreck all of the good work that they did. Oh, and the dragon's EYE. Which is why it took me so long to get it finished. I also added some grass to the base. Great job, everyone!
  21. This lady is going to be a part of different skirmish game warbands. Mainly Necromunda and Mordheim. The little mushrooms/plants on the base are made of dried grape wines.
  22. I've had these for many, many years. I am pretty sure they are reaper minis, but I can not find any reference to these particular kobolds when I search. They are very small, here is a scale pic next to a genestealer:
