  1. Here is the snake man warrior I finished a few weeks back. I was having issues with the yellow belly since the paint was very chalky but I did what I could. I am happy with the shading and tiny reflection on the gem on his bracer, it was my first time doing that, even though it's basically invisible from 3 feet away. Let me know what you think!
  2. Presenting Ziba the Efreeti (although I've gone for more of a giant, scary woman version) who was Marchs Bones Black promo mini. I think I did a pretty good job with her head, the rest not so much, but I had fun painting her. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  3. This pretty lady jumped straight to the front of my painting queue, and it was about time I painted another Reaper mini:- Here she is, all cleaned up and undercoated in primer. Got a little further today:- Not going down the red skin route, so Ziba is currently covered in a basecoat of 1:2 Dwarf Skin/Rosy Skin with a Flesh Wash. Aiming to get her skin finished tonight.
  4. Presenting Mrs. Silence, the female half of the Silence character class, who came in a limited Black Friday set from Kingdom Death. Despite being quite the pain in the bum to work on, she had to be assembled and painted in lots of little stages (and I never did get the two halves of her jacket to line up properly), I'm really rather pleased with the final result. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  5. My son and I just found this series on YouTube: Man at Arms: Reforged Great series where a team of people at Baltimore Knife and Sword make various weapons from video games, comics, books and movies (among other things) and occasionally historical weapons, and show you how they make them.
  6. Would there be a problem showing pics of real medieval weapons in forumite possession on these forums? Would people be interested in seeing and or showing off their weapons? Thought I would ask before posting real pics, I can always come back and edit, and if it is not okay, they can state that and lock the thread... George
  7. These are meant to be dark souls style bonfires, that I made as objective markers. I started by chopping a burning sphere about halfway up. Then I stuck the top part onto a base using modeling paste, which I used to sculpt in some bones and dirt and the like. then I took the two unsheathed swords from P14261C, and twisted the blades slightly using a round nose pliars, because the swords are supposed to be ruined. Then I primed the swords. once they were dry I drilled a small hole in the flames with a pin vise and stuck the sword in. I used a little super glue, but it stuck pretty well just from friction. Then nothing left to do but paint them and respawn some undead.
  8. This is my Alice vs. Wonderland diorama I entered in my local con. It took third in diorama/vignette. I don't have a big enough photo setup for the whole thing so please excuse the pics. I was trying a reimagining of the classic tale with Alice and some Wonderland characters as badasses. Alice is 14311: Kassandra of the Blade. The Cheshire Cat is 02480: Sabertooth Tiger and the White Rabbit is a Darksword Rabbit Warrior. I sculpted the rabbit's watch and the paintbrush. The wickets are staples and the croquet balls are pin heads. The cards were downloaded, then printed, cut out and glued together. I wanted each to die in a unique way, appropriate to the characters. The base was made and stained in my school's woodshop. (I teach) I loved building this! My first big diorama. Your comments and critiques are welcome as always.
  9. Another mini for a player in the game I DM.
  10. This is a ninja assassination/kidnap squad that work for the sinister (Fu Manchu). The adventure group has not encountered this squad in game play yet.
  11. My most recent offering. As always C&C is welcome. Also I'll be happy to answer any questions.
