  1. Cats, Hawks, Dragonborn, Turtles, Warforged and Demons PC 28mm Miniatures. Miniatures kits come with 2 heads, 4 right arms, 4 left arms and 2 tails for the cat. Made by Board Dog Games and Norse Foundry The last kickstarter fulfilled 3 months early. Please check them out and maybe support the project to help it fund! Link Here
  2. The challenge was keeping a steady hand for all the dots. But as I love doing anthropomorphic animal figures, I did it without hesitation. Another favorite thing I like to do (but I don't always do it) is avoid using black or liner for shadows and using complimentary colors instead. So in this case the armor being yellow/olive green, I went with the deep red/purple color of Burgundy Wine. There's still a touch of Blue Liner in strategic parts, and let's face it, I can't avoid the color because I love it so much. But it's minimal.
  3. We're starting a new 5th Ed D&D campaign in a couple weeks. I decided I might play a rogue, so I wandered down to the LFGS at lunch and looked at what was there (because I obviously have NO miniatures already I could use). Spotted the Tabaxi Rogue female pack from WizKids (I like the sculpts and poses of the female figs more than the male ones) so that's going to be my next character. Cool fig, primer isn't too bad. Some nasty mold lines but I only have a week to paint this so I'm not messing with them. Maybe after I'll clean up the "advanced" version and do a better job
  4. This is a pretty awesome Julie Guthrie figure that has been in my paint queue for years. Was having trouble finishing it, but found inspiration over the weekend.
  5. My most recently complete project is the lovely ladies of Oathsworn Miniature's "Heroines in Sensible Shoes 3" Kickstarter. As always, they are a joy to paint. They have nice, bold details but without being overwrought. They definitely look like a bunch of starting adventurers! The theme this time was more exotic races, notably a bunch from "Volo's Guide to Monsters" The ladies ascend the mountain: The Kitsune. She could be a lightly armored Fighter, a Rogue, or a Ranger. The Kenku (or Tengu) Shaman. Or Wizard. Or Sorcerer. Or whatev
  6. Edit - project is now live: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/oathsworn/heroines-in-sensible-shoes-3-miniatures-for-rpgs Starting on Monday, for probably 14 days, Heroines in Sensible Shoes 3 - Not every heroine is human. Teaser pic, as there's only five minis sculpted so far! I'll be sculpting at least 7 more throughout the project, taking input and suggestions from the backers... So far, there's a firbolg druid, tabaxi and kenku rogues, a minotaur barbarian, and a hobgoblin eldritch knight. After consulting with our previous backers, th
  7. I recently got in the latest "Heroines in Sensible Shoes" Kickstarter from Oathsworn Miniatures. I decided to get started on them and take (yet another) break from my in progress Rising Sun minis. As \always, they were nice, clean casts with lots of detail, but nothing over-wrought...which makes sense for low-level adventurers! They're such a joy to paint.
