It's been far, far too long since I sat down and painted a mini. Too many other life priorities. But anyways... So, I painted a Sisters of Battle terminator, and I decided I wanted her as a mini. Games Workshop does not sell SoB terminators. And so began my long conversion process, spending far too much money on bits for a model that probably can't be ever fielded. A ton of plasticard cementing, ProCreate sculpting, and general hackery later, I came out with this. Proportions are somewhat wonky, but I think they're beyond my capability to fix short of sculpting everything from scratch. Plus GW's proportions have always been wonky, especially for terminators. A coat of primer and I'm feeling better about this whole project already.

Stopped by my local gaming store yesterday and they had 2 packs of the BSC Alpha. I didn’t get them in the KS, so snapped them up. I have s bunch of bits laying around and no real purpose for the BSC so just played around a bit.

Here are some Space Hulk miniatures. I posted this as my January painting goal. Woot! I made it. I will be runnning Space Hulk at Rapiercon (http://www.rapiercon.com/) next month and wanted the figs to be painted. To be honest, though, this is not the complete set. I wanted two squads of terminators to be easy to tell apart, so two different colors were used. The figs in the box are very specific to the Blood Angels (red) chapter, so I used some other figs to represent the Ultramarines (blue). So I have not painted a terminator in over 20 years and this is my first attempt at NM gold. My friends son had this laying around and asked me to paint it for him. His choice of colors and I tried to keep the mini with a dark feel. Not exactly how I wanted it to end up but still more than happy with end result. please c&c and thank you in advance ;)

This is my take on Typhus, Death Guard champion of Nurgle. Added a nurgling to his base and swapped his scythe blade out for a glaive because I thought it looked more awesome on him and I wanted to steal his scythe blade for a daemon prince conversion. Note, I have decided that taking pictures of Nurgle paint schemes is a major pain. The nastiness looks awesome for the force but taking pictures is a bear.

Well, I posted up my squad Lorenzo as I painted them up. But when I finished off Squad Gideon, they didn't get photographed right away. So, here they are. I had a bit of a block going into this set, as I wanted to have something subtle show the difference between the two squads, without making them look like they were from a different chapter. In the end I chose to make all of the jewels a different color (Lorenzo's squad has blue jewels, rather than the green ones here). Also, I updated my Librarian Calistarius. I had originally painted him with metallic metals, and without dark lining. Last thing I did on the set was paint him in Non metallic metals to match the rest of the Space Hulk set.
