  1. I haven’t been feeling inspired this week; too much outside world creeping in, I suppose, but I did finish up one little scenery project for my “scenic bases” upgrade. I got the Mantic Terrain Crate walls as part of the Kickstarter a while back. They look well enough, but are very thin and there is no way they will stand by themselves on a table (to allow them to be reconfigurable). I decided the thing to do with them was to group them into a couple of basic enclosures. Last fall I got a buch of irregularly shaped masonite scenery bases with beveled edges, so I sorted around to find ones that the rectangles of the walls would fit. Having a bit of extra space at one corner, I planted a few trees to give it an organic feel. Prince August true (small) 25mm figures are shown for a scale estimate. These would be pretty petite walls against Reaper figures, I think. I considered adding crops or headstones, but decided that it was best to leave the interior fairly open to allow deployment of troops on 60mm square multiple figure bases.
  2. I bought into the recent Terrain Crate Kickstarter; getting the Dungeon Crate, and the Battlefield Crate, along with the Dark Lord's Tower set. My Terrain Crate shipment arrived in the early Summer, and I immediately painted two of the large tents that came with the "Campsite" portion of the Battlefield Crate to use in a game I did at Historicon. Recently, I've been painting some of the "Abandoned Mine" stuff from the Dungeon Crate, as I am preparing for a game a friend and I are doing at Fall-In using our Tablescapes Dungeon Mines sets. I thought I'd start a thread to chronicle the pieces I paint, to help me keep track, and to help keep me motivated to keep plowing through. There's a lot of pieces! I hope to use a bunch of it in my Fall-In game, so have some motivation there as well. Big Tents: The Terrain Crate stuff goes great with the Tablescapes Dungeon Mines sets. Explosives: Tool Racks:
  3. And the last of my recently finished minis, a helping of scatter terrain from Mantic's "Terrain Crate" line.
