My project for August (and probably September) is to paint up some of the pile of terrain pieces in my collection. I've been busy washing, scraping mold lines, and priming this week. Some of what's ready: Bones altar, tomb, arch, spider throne and graveyard fences: Pile of stones that came with a dragon (not sure which one). Want to use this as a test piece before I open DDS2. Octopus fountain, a 3d print that was a gift from a friend. I got primer and a base coat on it but wasn't sure where to go from here: Spartan statue (there are 2), Halloween spooky tree, and a creepy statue that I forgot to clean and prime. I'm not sure if it is supposed to lean like that, and if not, if I want to correct that. There will be more later. My first goal is to do the arch and fence pieces. There is one more small fence which was miscast, I am working on it with greenstuff.

So now that we know who won the Game of Thrones and ended up sitting down... Dragoth the Defiler on Throne. Just look at the strength of that undead overlord! Holding his sword casually in the air with his arm outstretched, Darth Vader-style! This mini is from the second Bones kickstarter core set. I based it on a 50mm round lipped and put some black flock around it. Looks good! This one can also do double duty as a Charnel Throne scenery item for my Age of Sigmar Flesh Eater Courts Army. The sword simply would not stay glued to the skull I placed the tip at. That is the power of Bones plastic memory for you. I should have heat treated the thing to position it correctly before painting. Oh well. No matter. Reaper makes a metal version of this that presumably predates the Bones 2 kickstarter, and that has a vampire's head instead of a skeleton's skull. I wonder why they changed it to a skull for the Bones version? "Ah! We meet again! And I see your sword is as big as mine!" 77201 Dragoth the Defiler Reaper Miniatures, Bones 2 KS 2013 Sculpted by Bob Ridolfi Bonesium PVC. 50mm round lipped base

Painted the throne of my Dark elf Queen.... Made it so that throne and Queen can be seperated.... Will probably paint a (standing) mini similar to the queen to have a "sitting and standing" version. Warning, not everything is what it seems... "Care! don't activate any traps..." *a feint mechanical ticking&clicking sound on the background* "Wait, did that leg just move?"

I've had plans to paint this for a long time, wanted to get it done before the bones 4 dark elf throne piece overshadows it.

This one took awhile, since I basically had to paint the throne all over again when I decided to try the granite look. My first attempt, got a little runny but practice makes perfect.

It took me a while to get him done, but here he is! This is Uglunuk, Half-Giant Warrior (Reaper SKU #03412) along with the throne back for Queen Shannon Stormhand (Reaper SKU #P02083B). I crafted the rest of the throne using cork, green stuff, and styrene (shown in my WIP thread). Enjoy! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Leaping up from the stone throne replete with skulls from two of his vanquished foes, Kelkar the God-King brandishes forth his great-axe, the power of the half-giant standing before the adventurers is palpable. His eyes narrow dangerously as he glares down at them... You dare to challenge ME?!? His voice echoes throughout the hall as he starts to swing his weapon... C&C Welcomed and Greatly Appreciated!

Is it not possible to order separate pieces anymore? I am doing a new project, and Dragoth would be perfect for it, yet I do not wish to destroy my vampire king and queen diorama, and I don't need another throne. Previously I ordered the throne separately for the queen in said diorama, but now I can not find how to order separate parts? Has this been changed, or is it still possible to get the miniature sitting on the throne separately from the other parts in any way? http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/62164-dragoth-the-defiler-undead-lord-on-throne-30010/?hl=%2Bdragoth+%2Bthe+%2Bdefiler

This is Dragoth the Defiler and his throne, towered by an Undead Zombie Dragon. He will lead my army in Age of Sigmar. :) Magnetized, so he can change between ruling on his throne, and slaughter from his mount. ^^

I came back from a dark place in April with the help of my family, and one of the things that kept me going then, and now, is sitting down with little lead people and some paint every evening.... Now I didn't start on the forums until the last day of June, but in April, May, and June, I painted over 50 minis, mostly Reaper. (That bit of Figmentius in me kept me from needing to buy much....) The Reaper ones are In the Inspiration Gallery, because I knew about that.... The pics will be marked Old Work in the titles, and were done with GW paints, because that was what was here, as well as a few decent brushes. No wet palette though... Since Old Guard Posted an older work I decided to do the same with some of my older stuff from this time.... (Shut up and post MY PICTURES! No one wants to hear your biography!) So I give you Dragoth, the Defiler! Some close ups: The extra base is from a Grenadier Dragon Lords set called 'Encounter at Khomar-Lolth' that had a similar figure that went where Draggy is. The red liquid in the 2 'braziers' is water effect with some GW Blood Red mixed in. So thanks for looking! 8) George Edit- See, even the undead are talking to me....

Also uses the base of the Ghostly summons, 77095. Put this one together from the bits of two different throne sitting minis which I found with the figure finder. Spent ages on this one. Was very difficult for me. Thought I'd have to strip it of paint and start over again, but I can't be bothered. She's got paint in her face the thickness of my thumb soon, as I could not get the eyes and skin tone right. Given up on her now. :P

So, this is a rather big project for me. been in the planning stage for a long time now. Almost afraid to start.. I am not much fan of the egyptian parts of the warhammer undead armies, and decided I want to try having a more gothic undead army, which means creating my own stuff to proxy. I got a little carried away, and decided to make all of this into a little diorama. Ordered a ton of bits and pieces, and had to pay through the nose in government custom fees.. but what can you do? :D Anyway, here is a little test of how things will be: So far it consists of: 2xNightspectres, 77099 Ghostly summons, 77095 Dragoth the Defiler, 30010 Crypt of the Vampiress, 02990 Altar of Evil, 77139 Female: Victim, (P02580C) Shannon (body), (P02083A) Back of Throne (P02068B). .. and some jewlerybead skulls..

Been gone over a month to complete this very large soul sucking model for part of a challenge I was participating in. Got some smaller Reaper stuff coming up and that I am dearly looking forward to. Finally get the time to look at some of the posted pics over the past month too. Yay!
